Guest Reviews
- Yolanda (10/5): Milano Residences, Kalayaan Avenue, Makati - The owner is very assistive with all our inquiries and very quite & clean, strong wifi in all amenities/facilities (gym, pool, sauna & steam room) & in our accommodation ;)
- Mari (2/5): - So bad we we walked out. Filthy bathroom, inadequate bedding, just a terrible experience. Doesn't even rate as a one star.
- Jeffrey k (8/5): Makati - Hotel was surprisingly good. Considering the price. Easy to get taxi. A few restaurants walking distance. Safe area. Tried to book the following weekend. Hotel was fully booked.
- Blackamber07 (2/5): A little expensive for the place - Booked one night for my family for Php 1876.84. The location is okay because it's near to where I used to live so I really know the area. I wasn't expecting much but you can say I was a bit disappointed because the room looks like it should have been priced lesser than what we paid. The walls looks too old and too thin you can hear the next room, the bath looks worn out and not clean, the room smells a bit. We didn't use the bath cause we didn't like it, we went to my bro-in-laws place nearby to freshen up..The aircon and cable tv was the only thing I liked.
- merlinef (6/5): Clean,Near and Safe But One Receptionist was so Annoying and Unfriendly! - We stayed there as a couple for two times. First time when we arrived from a travel, we found it because it's just in the corner close to the center of Makati. It's affordable for one night it was just around 38 USD, clean room w/ aircon and flat TV. They have WiFi but just in the reception area or in their lobby.
But, you need to prepare some pesos if you want to pay in cash because they don't accept other currency. Too bad...that time we were so tired already and one of the receptionist didn't allow us to check in because we had dollars only that time. Good thing one of the guards borrowed us his money and told me to just pay him the next day. We really felt bad that time plus we were so exhausted already. And she even put us in a room where you can hear the noise from the outside because the window couldn't be close.
So when we stayed there the second time I really said to give us a room somewhere which is not close to the street.
Although we have had bad experience with their staff we still stayed there because it's really just a walking distance from the business center and stores.
- 3gaving (2/5): Rude staff - They tried to overcharge me for laundry. They also kept my laundry until the matter was resolved, which turned out to be in my favour on the end. They left me without any clean clothes for two days.
I've stayed at this hotel twice previously, without any problems. I will never stay at this hotel again. The staff on reception get great pleasure from speaking unkindly in tagalog about hotel guests and laughing at us behind our backs. Very unprofessional and very rude.
- blanchef2016 (6/5): Staffs were good! - The good thing at this hotel is the staffs, they were helpful. 3rd time since we check in here, It was just accessible to us. also i want to share about the location, do not go there when there is storm, the whole streets are easy got flood. one thing, the price is expensive and please make some changes on the standard time, please give some discount for walk-in guest with late check in.
- 362alexanderk (6/5): ok for one night! - I'm here in january 2015 for one night only, becouse my plane is late at the airport and i look 4 a cheap hotel. The room was good and clean, no insects. The girl at the reception are very kindly. Yes, no window...but i don't need, i sleep with closed eyes ;)
The breakfast next morning was ok too! For me it's ok here, sure...one night only.
- Drnumber7 (2/5): Never again - I stayed here because I saw that this hotel have good points on booking.com. Why why ... The price was expensive for a room that it was freaking small. I stay here with my gir and I was ashamed but unfortunately I had already payed. The room have a glass wall so you can not move the curtain, no window. At the check-in the receptionist was very rude: didnt say hello and just say wait there and let me seat on the armchair...
- peacfullone (4/5): Cock Roaches in the room and bathroom - I booked a deluxe room here for one night only Bed was comfortable shower had good hot cold water pressure, room was spacious but I did not enjoy sharing with cock roaches.
Staff in restaurant were helpful and friendly .. Reception staff found it more important
to use their mobile phones than pay attention to customers needs..
Would I stay here again NO WAY !
- ianec2015 (8/5): Stayed here before I leave PH!! - Amazing location, clean and comfortable rooms.... Superb customer service... I love the free breakfast that they offer and the peanut.... Staff are very friendly and helpful... I leave just before sunrise and the staff were very nice to offer me a hand with my stuff...
- thebeancounter8 (4/5): Concrete box without windows - I stayed in this hostel for 1 night. As walk in customers we didn't have a lot of options as most accommodations in the area were full.
The room has a total of zero windows and is a bit scary. Not sure what the escape plan is in case of fire in the hall way.
The staff are helpful.
- sharonag842 (10/5): It was superb ;) - It was a very nice hotel. They have One of the best breakfast.
Check in and check out was fast. We had a room that is outdated and need a renovation. The bathroom was small but clean. Nearby of everything ;). Shopping mall ;)
- Patrik_Kerstin (8/5): Great place, but stop importing Danish Christmas trees - I have stayed here twice. Both times, service was friendly and correct. The hotel is well situated in the heart of the Makati shopping mall district with walking distance to the museum.
The hotel has an excellent breakfast buffee with very good bread, croissants, fruit and assorted cerials. They also have a buffee dinner which is good value for money, with high-quality sushi among many other choices.
Rooms are good with comfortable pillows. The gym is spacious and the pool has a good length. My only complain is that they have their huge Christmas tree in the lobby imported from Denmark.
- francoangelob (8/5): Very good place to stay in makati. - My father is having a check up in makati med. This hotel is perfect since makati med is only 3 blocks away. Service is good and the place is cozy and very affordable. Highly recommended. Bring extra slippers tho. :)
- EdgarO337 (8/5): Pleasant cosy place - We stayed here on alternative weeks, as we wanted somewhere reasonably priced near to
Chinese embassy. Its has a quiet relaxing atmosphere and appears to cater mainly for a Filipino clientele. The room was perfect with soft beds, and modern split system aircon. Hot water at all times. TV with many channels. Breakfast was fine. They provide a snack menu and beer is available - P50. Just outside above the shop on the corner there is a pleasant open bar area that is always fairly busy, where you can also order a snack. There are fast food outlets nearby, but really no decent restaurants - one drawback to staying there. There are a few seedy bars down Dela Rosa Street.. Overall the place represents quite good value. I was amused by the paperwork and red tape involved when ordering/paying for anything !
- mikesU645EF (10/5): Cheap hotel with amazing service! - I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel during my time in Manilla. The rooms were nice and cozy and more than I needed. I wasn't planning on spending too much time at the hotel anyway. The key to the success of this hotel is the service. The showers were nice and warm and the room had proper air conditioning. A luxury for the Philippines! The beds were clean and had no bed bugs.
The hotel staff is extremely attentive and friendly. Jogie runs the desk in the evening was was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. He was very much on his game. There are several girls who run the desk during the day that were very helpful. Kyiana Higuchi was very helpful in getting info about local venues I wanted to visit.
- karinat45 (6/5): Average stay... Suited it's purpose. - I stayed in this hotel because it was close to my testing center. Unfortunately i stayed during a storm and the area gets really flooded. We were stuck in the room with nothing to do. If the weather had been good, i think i would have had a better experience. The room is a bit dim, no windows so i had to keep going out the room to check if it was still flooded outside.
On the positive side, staff were nice and helpful. Location is good and near malls. There was a hair dryer, bidet in the room.
If for any other reason than taking my nclex exam, i would probably pick a different hotel. But if you're taking the ha-ad or nclex this area is near trident so it would really suit your purpose.
- qtpiegollywow (4/5): Worse than Prison - P1800 for the area seems like a good deal, but add a few hundred more and you get a 2 or 3 star hotel located in the prime areas of Makati City. The most ironic thing about this hotel is that it feels like a seedy motel. We are in a room fronting the street and yet we have no windows and have to rely primarily on two wall-mounted lamps with a pale white and almost yellow light. The ambience is made worst by this massive armoire housing a 21 inch TV! Everything is just poorly planned, and not very tasteful. the first thing you see in bed is a framed advertisement of their restaurant stuck to the walls! The worst part is the toilet, it hardly flushes properly and I am afraid to take a dump for fear of clogging the thing. Not a very relaxing stay at all.
- bangcock (8/5): budget traveller - if you are a budget traveller and want to have a good place just to sleep, this is the ideal one for you. the room i stayed did not have any windows and once you switch off the lights its just pitch dark or black... land mark is a problem as taxi drivers find it difficult, finally the lady i met at the pub helped me with the direction, delarosa street it is but always keep the hotel visiting card with you. there is a safety box inside the room and guest friendly too till 9. anyways worth for budget travellers.
- medjugorje2000 (2/5): Wouldn't come here again - Tiny rooms, I can hear the people in the room next door, didn't sleep too well. I was extremely irritated that the laundry was not cleaned well for example the towels smelled like a wet dog. I went and bought my own towels to use there. No landmark, need better directions. The control to enter is fine however it took a couple of tries on the door before entering. Not comfortable over all...this is a 1-2 star inn.
(GENERAL MANAGER) I noticed the General Manager's (MZINNS) recent responses to unsatisfied customers. Being affiliated in the hotel and restaurant business for many years, the customer is always right and I think the GM needs to stop taking things personally and just strive to improve no matter what or let someone with a more professional attitude take over MZINNS job.
- MisterK344 (6/5): Good Accommodation Bad Receptionist - I booked a room in this inn twice. It's very near the Philippine Orthopedic Institute where I have an appointment. The first visit was perfectly okay. The receptionist was very accommodating and nice. I checked in very early in the morning and it's great that there wasn't any hassle whatsoever. The bed in my room is good for two people which is welcome even if I checked in alone. The room was windowless but this is fine since there's no view outside anyway. This I believe is an intentional feature to minimize noise coming from the outside.
My second visit is not that okay. This time I'm with my girlfriend, I checked in around 12 noon. The counter has a sign which indicates that they accept major credit cards for payment. I booked a room because I have another appointment with my therapist. I needed it for only 12 hours, since paying for a whole day doesn't make any sense as I have to leave around 7pm because I have to work at 8pm. When I asked my girlfriend if she's going to use her cc, the front desk personnel asked whom I recall is named Cecille, "What card?" in a very condescending tone. I said credit card and again she used the same smug tone and announced “No, no, we don't accept card payment for promos”. She referred to the 12 hour stay as a promo although it's not indicated anywhere in the premises that indeed it was. But hey she’s the employee and I’m only a lowly guest, so I took her word for it. I could have argued, but I was tired and I really needed to sleep.
The accommodation itself is okay for its price. I just can't help but be annoyed with the front desk personnel. There's no reason to be smug since she's working in the hospitality industry. She must be tired of her job. It’s sad that her singular unacceptable behavior can pull down the overall performance of the property. And please, if there are limitations, say to using credit card for payment, put up visible notice/signs or at least include information in your flyers and/or website.
I expect the general manager to respond and maybe defend his employee. But even if this were an isolated case, it’s still unacceptable.
There's a very big possibility that I'll book another room in the future, but I'll make sure the receptionist is the nice one, otherwise
- rocnrik (6/5): Disappointed - Nice security feature having to buzz in to enter second floor hotel. Pleasing staff. Room was big enough. Didn't care for their restaurant food, looks and taste, totally different. Free WiFi using given user name and password, but always had to let hotel desk to re-activate service. Inconvenient when you want to use it in the middle of the night while in bed. Beds are futons on plyboard, it's okay. One hard one soft pillow. T.V. only offered Filipino channels. Now the kicker....Even if you don't want your room serviced, I know a staff goes in when your not there to shut off A/C and unplug any cords still in the sockets. Who knows what else they did in the room when I wasn't there, I booked stay for five days. I used the plastic cup in the room, I know it wasn't cracked, nor did I drop it, but after room service, I was informed and was shown, after it wad washed and placed back in the tray, that it was cracked and I was charged 100P for it. Either inspect or just don't use. Any stain on beddings and towels, you will be charged if stain doesn't come out. And each incoming shift staff will remind you about it, it was frustrating. Coming from Global City, easier to get back to hotel when you tell taxi to drop you on Chino Roces off of Gil Puyat, then can guide them towards 7-11, hotel next building over, tried telling taxi to drop off on Dela Rosa and ended up going in circles
