- Martina (10/5): Wohlfühl-Erlebnis - Außergewöhnliche Burg, phantastischer Blick in wunderschöne Landschaft, sehr gutes Essen, tolle eigene Weine, sehr gepflegtes Anwesen, sehr nette Menschen, unheimlich tolles Zimmer/Suite, sehr gutes Qualiatives Frühstück
- Paul (4/5): Great views and location no hot water for three days to shower in the AM - I liked the proximity to my relatives, and the castle is beautiful. The room, Torre, did not have hot water in the AM for three straight days. The boiler was simply not adequate for a full complement of guests. Instead I had to shower later in the day. While I can accept this at my home in italy, I cannot tolerate this for the money I paid. These days, hotels need three things: good bed, reliable WIFI and hot water for a shower. They should have moved me immediately. They KNEW this was an issue I am sure. and they did NOTHING to compensated - no free wine, no comp breakfast...but alas it is Italy where customer service goes to die...and I can say this because I have been traveling to Italy for over 30 years annually.
- Filippo (10/5): The perfect romantic gateway in a picturesque, breathtaking location. - Both the castle and the ancient manor (hunting lodge) are just beautiful.
Staff is extremely kind and welcoming.
Wine tasting (which we tried in a light formula, because the full experience is only scheduled on a weekly basis) is great and worth trying.
Dinner was enjoyable and the quality price ratio is really high.
The park surrounding the villa (comprising a fascinating labyrinth!) is incredibly curated and makes a wonderful venue for a promenade, offering a few spots with a breathtaking view of the surrounding hills, river and landscape. Not really a minus, but certain experiences are offered in specific days (mainly in the weekend) so it is advisable to request information ahead of the stay to make sure you enjoy the whole experience.

- Marco (10/5): - Un posto meraviglioso.
- Silvana (10/5): I had a fantastic 2 night stay. Very relaxing , luxurious bed in beautiful unique surroundings - Location, views, comfortable warm inviting room. Excellent breakfast with good choices, friendly and helpful staff Nothing

- Jacopo (8/5): -
- Edrey (8/5): - Ortam, kahvalti, konum, temizlik
- Isabel (9/5): - Very friendly and caring staff. A stay that was more than expected which was wonderful when it was my husbands 60-th birthday trip.
We will recommend this place. The bed was a bit hard for both me and my husband.
A bit sad we couldn't se the castle due to low season but understandable since it is a private residence aswell.

- Davide (10/5): - Esperienza eccezionale.

- zoe (10/5): Wonderfully relaxing, unique, picturesque, a lovely stay - Beautiful views, friendly and helpful staff, unique experience, great nights sleep in a very comfy bed, great food and wine. It was still warm and would have been nice to have gone in the pool. A large mirror in the room would be good.
- christiana (9/5): Experiência válida! Cenário lindo - Clima bucólico , atendimento Parte interna do castelo não estava disponivel para visitação
- Claudia (8/5): -
- Luca Koller (9/5): -
- Christophe (10/5): -
- Eleonora Claudia (9/5): - Perfect location in well preserved castle. The staff was amazingly kind, creating a really welcoming atmosphere. Room very beautifully decorated. We had a very good dinner at the restaurant, where they serve their own wine. The wine is also available in the room, at the same price of the shop. The only less than perfect element is the light in the dining room….too bright and white, really at odds with the overall cosy atmosphere!
- Emma (10/5): A historic stay. - Amazing location. Wonderful historic buildings and gardens. Excellent service
- Marie-Louise (1/5): it was like they were open, but had no experience in running a hotel - Breakfast was simple, italian breakfast. Some freshly made eggs, otherwise cake, jams etc Staff, cleaning (our room was dirty), aircon didnt work. On the last day did they manage to replace it with the aircon unit they had in their office. there where general confusion as to the staff. the pool cleaning material was in the pool until we asked if we could use it, the 'pool bar' was supposed to be open, but they were 'sold out' of everything. they are renonating new apartments, and the noise and dust from the renovation was unacceptable
- Mark (9/5): Excellent stay - A beautiful old castle with lots of character. The rooms are comfortable, and the on-site restaurant is excellent — great food and atmosphere. No shower, just on huge bath
- Giacomo (10/5): -
- Miguel Garza 98 (10/5): Lovely place - Awesome stay, great activities to do at the castle, great food, awesome room. Mosquitoes
- Ephraim (7/5): -
- Parastoe (10/5): Amazing stay, best kick off of a holiday!! - The view and service and food! The historian guide
- Solomon (10/5): Warm stuff , great location quiet nature clean and very near Turin, Excelent food - Warm stuff , great location quiet nature clean and very near Turin,
Excelent food
No poder tomar café con leche, solo había café.
- IAN (9/5): Great escape - Nice escape, not busy or touristic, perfect to relax by the pool and countryside. Swimming pool is nice, staff cordial and good wine and food.
Room was confortable and AC was working well.
I recommend to read other comments to avoid disappointments. The cost of late check out was 80 euros, a bit too much. Also, it did not offer many free activities, spa or a social gathering space.
- Adrien (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wladimir (10/5): Perfection - Amazing location Everything was perfect
- Jennifer (10/5): - A unique stay on castle grounds. Staff was so friendly and accommodating, they opened the restaurant just for us! And the food was amazing.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (1/5): A hotel that does not work in a beautiful castle. - This is a beautiful private castle/residence with a wonderful vineyard surrounding it. Sadly the hotel operation is a distant third. The owners need the income of the hotel to pay for the upkeep of the castle but you feel like you are there “on sufference” and there is not sufficient investment in the running of the hotel itself. No air conditioning as it is “broken”. Had to move rooms three times. No wifi in the room. No laundry service. Mosquitoes really really bad. No spray or anti mozzie provided. No towels for the pool, you have to get your own from reception where no body is there. No food or drink by the pool. No common area. We had a building site outside our room and men digging up the pavement outside our room at 8:00 am.
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tearsa (2/5): - We left...already paid for but we left. We were in Italy for 2 weeks and this wine was the worst we'd ever tasted (we tried a bottle from the room, bought different one in their shop, and tried another with dinner and all of them were bad). Wine shop said you need to open for a WEEK? WTH?? And NO Shower?? Who offers a room without a shower? The 'dining room' had folding metal chairs that hurt our backs and the food was unimaginative to say the least. Spinach, spinach, potato. Very French, not Italian. Construction outside our window. Pool covered/closed and the garden completely overgrown. Can't even go in the castle so what was the point?! Augh.
- Nuutti (8/5): Very good - Pool & pateo area were closed :-(…
- Traveler (10/5): Exceptional - Tucked away in the rolling hills of Piemonte, we discovered a hidden gem that felt like stepping into a dream—Castello di Gabiano. From the moment we arrived, the majestic castle perched atop the landscape took our breath away. Surrounded by vineyards and kissed by centuries of history, this place stirred something deep in our souls. It felt like time slowed down, allowing us to savor a peace we didn’t even realize we were missing.
The castle, dating back to the 12th century, is not just a place to stay—it’s an experience. Our room was named Tre Orlogi, just like one of the wines produced from the surrounding vineyards. It was spacious, elegantly styled, and offered stunning views that greeted us every morning. We also brought home a bottle of Bareja, a sparkling Chardonnay, and of course, the Tre Orlogi—each sip a reminder of our time there.
Mornings began with breakfast in the most charming building, where large windows framed the picturesque hills like living paintings. The service throughout our stay was warm and genuine—friendly without being intrusive, and always ready to help.
We wandered through the beautifully kept park and got delightfully lost in the labyrinth. It felt like a page out of a fairytale. The guided tour of the castle added layers of depth to our visit, bringing its rich history to life.
We stayed for two nights, but it was not nearly enough. Castello di Gabiano is not just a place to rest—it’s a place to feel, reflect, and connect. We left with full hearts, great wine, and a longing to return. Would be great to add automatic lights at the parking and in front of the reception. And also on the stairs.
- Laurence (8/5): Everything perfect except the restaurant (don't eat) - Everything is perfect, you'll feel like in the Middle Ages, the atmosphere is very special and the room is especially well designed. The staff is amazingly professionnal and polite, we loved the Moïra and Nadia's service. Thank you again ! The castle is incredible, the labyrinth and the garden are unique. You'll hear the birds and you can go walking. There are also wine tastings and visits of the castle. The food is really really bad. We couldn't eat. We often go to Italy, we're used to its gastronomy, and it's a shame to serve industrial products at the restaurant. Pasta was too cooked, the meat was horrible (also was the sauce). The breakfast is incredibly poor (industrial cheese (danish cheese) and industrial orange juice). It's such a disappointment, please make some changes.
- Jones (10/5): Beautiful place, lovely staff & great food - Stayed 2 nights for our honeymoon & had a wonderful time. The staff was all great- so friendly & accommodating, the location is beautiful & the food was amazing. Definitely recommend the wine tasting as well. Nothing- it was perfect
- Marshak (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (9/5): Gorgeous room within a 700 year old building (next to a 1000 year old castle) and the perfect dinner and amazing hostess - Beautiful decor and style especially the lovely deep bath tub, dinner was delicious, hotel was full of history Bed only had one sheet and a v thin blanket. No duvet and the night felt cold. Better to be given a choice
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (9/5): Great stay but need to communicate with your guests about departure times - Beautiful property! We needed to leave early in the morning and we were not told the gate was closed until 9am!
- Lovett (9/5): Superb - Everything Nothing
- Giulia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Harden (8/5): We absolutely loved our stay! The room, food, wine, and staff were all amazing! - We arrived later than expected due to travel challenges and the host had a picnic waiting for us in our beautiful room. The breakfast was delicious and the restaurant was fantastic! The grounds are breathtaking! We would have liked to learn more about the properties history and to have gotten to tour the castle. They had one tour on Saturday and we were leaving early in the morning.
- Jacky (6/5): Go there in spring, not in winter - If you like the darkness of a casttle on a rainy day it will be your day! The location is fine and the castle impressive. The rooms are in a separate house, near to the very cosy and good restaurant We arrived in extreme rain and had to unload the car near the house where we had our suite. The room was nice but the heating was broken that day. They tried to restart it but without success. We asked to move to a warm and other room which they accepted and we had a very large appartment above the reception. Problem solved but the expected charming and romantic room was replaced by a very large and perfect appartment but no longer romantic or cosy.
The staff apologized for this inconveniant and they did what they could to help
- Jennifer (10/5): - We are so glad we stayed at Castello di Gabiano. The property grounds are wonderful to roam around to all the different areas, including a labyrinth.
The room was very clean, updated and comfortable. Check-in was so friendly and helpful too.
We had breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant, which was also terrific.
So exciting to be so close and image the history of the castle!
- Bertha (9/5): Superb - The views from the restaurant are great, and the castle is beautiful to see. It was very quiet. The swimming pool is very nice. They were still building the spa, so in front of one of our accommodation the view was not nice.
- HARUT (10/5): - Amazing place
- Mark (9/5): Superb - there was virtually no internet connection in our room. We had to go out to the terrace to get any connection at all. See above. we were right above the work area. The tractor and work machines were quite loud and very close.
