• Ayah (8/5): - Everyone here was kind and helpful. My room was cleaned regularly, and staff checked in on me on a day when I felt under the weather. Breakfast was plentiful, healthy, and yummy. And whether you have a big or small appetite, it will satisfy you. I highly recommend, and would book again if I go back to the city.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Unfreundlich - Der Empfang war unfreundlich und nicht professionell. Es wurde für den Abstellplatz des Autos sofort Geld verlangt. Erst nach mehrmaliger Aufforderung wurde uns das Zimmer gezeigt...... Der Treppenaufgang zum Zimmer ist gruselig- zu Recht wurde hiervon kein Foto veröffentlicht.
• Renaud (10/5): - Excellent accueil d'Ali et son épouse dans cette magnifique villa du début du XXe siècle. Lieu magnifique chargé d'une belle âme. Petit déjeuner au top avec d'excellents produits. Les repas sont aussi très bien cuisinés. Un beau jardin entoure cette villa, ce qui permet de se détendre au calme en pleine ville. Très bon choix pour passer quelques temps dans la capitale tunisienne. Je recommande la "Villa des Palmes" sans retenue.

• JOHN ERIC (6/5): - Outdated and overpriced. The property is very old design and not repainted, the heating is old radiators which are not sufficient for the cold. Shared spaces and close quarters are not good for privacy. This is a bed and breakfast from a nice couple, but not what we needed at the time. The garden is not maintained and consists of outdated handmade funiture. The guest house is a 2 story climb up a spiral staircase to a small room with no substantial heat, TV or ample space. Room service is nonexistent and all food must extra pay for dining with the hosts, also overpriced. We filled out an old fashioned papework, took a bath, and immediately went to the Marigold some 3 blocks away. Quaint, but unnecessary. I did thank the owner Ali for his efforts, but unfortunately it was not modern enough for our desire.

• Owen (10/5): - This was a charming and comfortable place to spend several days in Tunis. It’s old and lovely and the hosts are excellent and incredibly kind and knowledgeable. It is quiet and peaceful and a little quirky with old movie posters and fabulous antiques. Highly recommended and we would happily stay again.
• Elena (10/5): Cosy et spacieux, une vraie évasion - Si vous recherchez de l’authenticité et un accueil personnalisé, vous êtes à la bonne adresse ! Décor, que ce soit dans les parties communes ou dans les chambres, fait voyager, raconte des histoires. Les hôtes sont aux petits soins avec les voyageurs et sont très arrangeants. Personnel gentil et attentionné. On se croit vraiment comme chez soi. Je garde un très bon souvenir de mon séjour, et je n’hésiterai pas à y retourner !

• Verified traveler (8/5): Oasis in a busy town! - Villa Les Palmes is a beautiful, historic and peaceful estate of colonial times. We had a suite with tastefull interior and balconies in two directions. The breakfast was served downstairs in the creativly decorated diningroom with large windows, much light, fresh air and direct exit to the veranda and garden. You can also order dinner and drinks in the evening and enjoy it outside in the tranquil garden. The whole house gives you inspiration with its artistic character. We met the politeful owner couple several times. They gave good service. We had nice conversations together and got interesting inside information about the town and the country. Outside the entrance with trees and a nice garden you find a vibrious crossing with a nearby school, the metro and a small cafe. The old Medina er about 1,5 km away. You can easily get a cheap taxi right in front of the estate. Thank you very much for a relaxing stay!

• Tarek (10/5): - On a passé un très bon séjour, la suite est très agréable et confortable avec un décor très original. Les propriétaires sont accueillants et chaleureux et disponible, madame Ofla cuisine très bien il faut absolument essayer sa cuisines.
• olivier (10/5): Un havre de paix - Dans la chaleur et l'agitation de Tunis, j'ai été surpris et ravi de trouver cette très belle maison. Beaucoup de charme, bien décorée, originale. Des suites magnifiques qui nous font voyager dans le temps. Très bonne literie, propre, calme, tout est fait pour passer une nuit paisible. J'y ai passé un bon moment, serein, avec un hôte très accessible avec qui on peut partager. Merci pour ce bon moment.

• Thomas (4/5): Nur das Bett war gut! - Bei meiner Ankunft nach 23.00 Uhr musste ich zusätzlich € 20.- wegen "Late check in" bezahlen. Die versprochene Rechnungsbestätigung war für den nächsten Morgen versprochen, habe ich aber nicht erhalten. Der angebotene Transfer vom Flughafen ist komplett überteuert. Mit den gelben Taxen kommt man zu einem Bruchteil zum Gästehaus. Um zum Zimmer zu kommen (3 - 4 Zimmer teilen ein WC und Dusche), musste ich das schwere Gepäck alleine 2 Stockwerke hochtragen. Der anscheinend betrunkene Chef des Hauses hat nur die Schlüssel getragen. Ich habe auch keinen Weckdienst benötigt da ich durch den Verkehrslärm sehr früh aufgewacht bin. Das Bett war gut. Sicher nie mehr wieder!!!
• Andrew (4/5): Avoid this place - The property has potential however overall I did not have a successful stay. Upon check in I was advised that the room had a shared bathroom. The owner advised that he had a room with a private bathroom but this was more expensive. He advised me to cancel the original reservation and re-book the en-suite room and he would authorise a refund via Hotels.com for the full cost of the original booking. I did this with great difficulty, as to why this could not have been sorted locally I am still unsure! Anyway Hotels.com emailed to advise the owner had not waived the cancellation fee for the original booking. When I approached him he stated they had not contacted him. I wasted two days of my holiday dealing with this. The owner then said that as the second booking was made using a promotional rate (but still much higher value than the original booking) he wanted me to give him the amount of the promotion back in order for him to agree the refund of the original reservation - basically blackmail. It was clear he had not responded to Hotels.com intentionally and this was part of his game to extract more money from me. Added to this the hotel had no heating on my first night and was not comfortable. The owner spends all of his time chain smoking in the kitchen - yes Kitchen! Meaning the whole place smelled of cigarette smoke. The breakfast was very basic and of poor quality and finally the photos on the website are not recent and not a true reflection. I do not recommend.

• Alexandre Hedi (6/5): - J’ai eu un petit problème avec la climatisation, tomber en panne,l’hebergeur a été réactif et m’a changer de chambre Un petit problème sur le site, le numero de téléphone n’est pas a jour, j’ai dû communiquer par message via le site ! Petit déjeuner impeccable, pour le service et l’acceuil, impeccable rien a dire. La prochaine fois je choisirais une chambre côté jardin car côté avenue Mohamed V c’est beau de bruit de voitures. Merci a la dame qui m’a accueilli .
• Sarah (8/5): - Globalement un très beau séjour à la villa Les Palmes. Le bâtiment, les jardins, la chambre et la salle de bain étaient au top. Le petit déjeuner raffiné et fait maison. Le personnel et l'hôte sont à votre écoute et de très bons conseils. Ayant une voiture de location, j'ai pu prendre une option payante pour garer ma voiture devant la villa (5 euros/jour). Seul léger bémol, nous étions au même étage qu'une autre famille et les portes sont très fines. Nous avons du discuter avec les occupants d'à côté pour le bruit le matin lors de leur passage dans les couloirs. Ils ont été très compréhensifs. La villa est à 15 min de l'aéroport. En taxi ou en voiture de location, vous êtes à côté. Le quartier est calme et peu bruyant. Nous vous recommandons vivement.

• Gregory (10/5): Relaxing stay - Wonderful hotel, super helpful staff, beautiful, quiet rooms and a lovely garden in the back where you can sit and enjoy a coffee. The fresh cooked breakfast is a nice way to start the day. The rooms are very clean, the beds have cozy duvets and plenty of pillows. We were there in the winter and the rooms had heat and were plenty warm. Our room was up 2 floors of stairs, they also have ground level rooms (and stairs are the norm in Tunis). The sitting area outside our room was nice and relaxing, a bit of extra shared space to sit down. And the rooms are quiet, many places in the city can can be loud, or noisy, car honking, dogs barking, etc, but the rooms here are so very quiet, silent even! The bathroom for a room with a private one are huge and clean. The hot water is consistent and warm. We did not speak French or Arabic and the staff was very accommodating and patient, they spoke enough English to make communication possible and straight forward. We would definitely stay here again and recommend the hotel!

He picked me up from the airport, helped me plan the entirety of my stay in Tunis, and even offered to BBQ my last night in Tunis. The breakfasts were very fulling and just as nicely prepared.
