- Verified traveler (4/5): - Way overpriced for someones basement that they couldn't even be bothered to remove spiderwebs from. Parking was an issue from the moment we arrived, as they requested we have assigned parking that was already taken by their friend. Was told to contact them immediately if this happens and spent 30 minutes waiting for a reply. The pictures on the website are advertising a better place than what was seen. Request no noise from tenents visiting but expect loud noises from the house above.

- Brendan (2/5): - You have a SCAM running through your site. This place is not legit. I cannot believe Expedia allows this on their site.
- Raven (4/5): - This rental was very misleading in its advertising. The bathroom and kitchen are communal and the property itself just has two bedrooms, one bedroom for yourself and the other one right next to it is for a completely different party of people. The other people who rented the other bedroom during our stay also seemed very confused. The bathroom had nothing to dry your hands with after washing them, no towels, no paper towels, nothing. The communal kitchen was not very clean either, there was one single dish towel on the stove and it was dirty and damp. When we arrived there was an air mattress, when we filled it with air, the middle tufted part of the air mattress was probably 3-4 inches higher and arched than the sides. So when you layed on it it was like laying on a rounded surface that wasn’t stable or comfortable to lay on because you would just fall off of the rounded curved part. The neighborhood was sort of sketchy, lots of people just loitering around often. It was essentially impossible to be quiet because the other renters bedroom is literally right next door. You can hear everything through the walls. Overall it did the job. We needed a place to stay overnight and it worked out, but it was very misleading online when initially booking.
- Akiko (6/5): - The shared bathroom is also provided in the "family style" - toilet, sink, and shower (all one each) are behind a lockable door. This setting created a bit of inconvenience among us. Also, there is no hand- drying systems provided after using toilet and kitcen. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. Very walkable to the light rail.
- Sandra (10/5): - It was a quaint stay for me for four nights. I live in Ocean Shores, WA but here for cancer care for my husband. I have never stayed in a hostel style “hotel”. My room was very adequate in size, Roku. very comfy king bed. Everything on site needed for 1 night or multiple. I had the pleasure of meeting a couple from Australia and an Irishman for Vancouver, BC. It was clean, cozy but would have loved to see the “more private” living quarters in 2nd. The cost was reseaonable for 4-night stay. Fully equipped kitchen but I did take out a mix of both Asian & Mexican food. Close to everything! Thank you, Lee.

- QIUGAO (2/5): 垃圾 卸载Hotel.com - 下单之后 连酒店的具体地址都没有，打电话一直打不通. 好不容易打通了 说要我的拍照我的ID发给她才能给我地址，收到地址后，去了又没有开门的password，接着打电话，又一直打不通，大冬天的硬是让我和女朋友在外面找了一个多小时 又等了半个多小时. 太他妈操蛋了， 还有一条澡巾上面居然还有血印...太垃圾了 ， 还有隐藏的收费，清洁费每人每晚10刀，两个人两晚40刀...太垃圾了

The neighbors yard is a junkyard. You text some lady your ID and she texts you codes and instructions. Everything is so awkward because they know what a scam this is. They have the nerve to charge the same price as hotels for some awkward stay in someone's squeaky wooden house where the roommates talk and watch movies all night. Glad it's over
- Tamara (10/5): The Future of Travel Accommodations - Brighton fit our needs perfectly: No fuss, great price, easy walk to the metro into Seattle and to Sea-Tac Airport and the same easy walk to restaurants and supermarket. This accommodation may be the future of travel. No receptionist, they send you everything including electronic access codes the day before your arrival. The neighborhood seems safe, but mixed housing in various levels of upkeep. But we always sightsee early and get indoors before dark so we seldom have problems. The shared kitchen and bathroom were clean and comfortable! Bedroom was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. All in all, a great stay at a great value and we’d definitely stay there again!!!

The walls and floors are very thin and you can hear everything upstairs and from the room next to you. The cleaning lady came in at 9 or 10 every day even though checkout wasn’t until 11 and cleaned around us. It was very frustrating. Overall, a very poor experience.

Brighton Retreat is on a quiet street but very handy for the light rail into downtown Seattle or out to Sea-Tac Airport. Check-in with codes was useful as we weren't sure when we would arrive. However it was a noisy place to stay and not from other guests being inconsiderate, but from too little sound-proofing for between the rooms/floors.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible, not told about property rules b4 arrival - This place is terrible. Upon arrival, we discovered a list of rules that were not in the rental agreement or clearly posted in the add. No smoking, drugs (including marijuana), no alcohol, no noise. We walked into the bedroom and it was normal. After taking a shower it seemed like there was water under the floor boards. We reported it to the management who disregarded our concerns. We had two drinks while alone in the place and the next morning received a threatening message that they would kick us out, keep our money and fine us. The non-smoking turned into non-smokers only. No alcohol/weed turned into none on the property. We ended up getting a DIFFERENT place for our final night rather than stay at the property. The last day we stayed another boarder had a beer and left it on the counter - we advised the management to avoid them from fining us. Terrible experience altogether. If you're only there literally to sleep and do nothing else (including talking) then it would be fine. Dont bother showering, talking, eating, watching tv or being human.

- Mark (8/5): It worked and price is right. - It was overall nice. Very cool concept of turning bottom of house into a two room Hotel on 1st floor. The only complaint I had was the noise from the 2nd floor above. The ceiling creeks a lot from the movement above.
