• Dorine (10/5): Too short but sweet - It was such a great stay! The garden is so beautiful and relaxing. I wish I would have stayed here a little longer. I arrived late at Split so it was very convenient to sleep somewhere close to the airport. There are cute bars and lovely beaches very close by. And the owner is so friendly. I highly recommend staying here for a few nights (not just one ;))

• Amanda (6/5): Good. - Close to the airport and the bus station. The private room was nice with air condition, and we also got a towel each. Bathroom and shower was not very clean.

Right next to beautiful beaches (they get pretty busy with locals and vacationers during summer but you can walk further down to find more quiet ones). Supermarket walking distance. Little beach cafe/bar for drinks right next door. Not too far from the airport.

• Jonsson (10/5): Nice, cozy and fully equipped hostel in a peaceful area. - Amazing hostel, really. That kind of hostel you just feel at home in right away. Cozy garden, fully equipped kitchen (also really cozy!), nice rooms, comfortable beds, fan+AC, bathroom ok. Right next to several tiny beaches and one bigger. Not a crowded or busy area at all, but there are a food store, 2 smaller beach bars and 2 restaurants a few minutes away. It's all there, but not too close. Great for longer stays. For those who want some peace and quiet, a chill area and a chill hostel, this is the one i recommend 100%.

• Alexander (9/5): Good and honest place near airport - I'm usually do not stay in common rooms at hostels but that one is almost saved me due my late night flight as there was no available logging near airport with affordable price. I was alone in the room, so in my case it was more hotel, no hostel. The bathing facilities was very clean, the bed is comfy, the neighborhood is quiet - perfect in my situation :) The kitchen in the yard could be better

• Lexi (7/5): Overall a lovely stay :) - I stayed for one night as it was close to the airport. I was made to feel very comfortable, the host was very friendly and even got up very early to drive me to the airport the next morning. The beds were comfortable and it’s in a great location. A waterfront bar/resto close by as well as a large grocery store. It was HOTTT haha no air conditioning but there were multiple fans set up around to room to try and accommodate.

• Sandra (10/5): Perfect little hostel close to the airport - It was clean, I feel like the rooms were spacious enough, and the facilities were great too. I thought my bed was pretty comfortable compared to other hostel beds. My room had a little balcony where I could setup my stuff to dry with clothespins. Also I especially loved the filtered water in the fridge! I wish the shower had a better way of locking. It has a sliding door but I am a private person and would like a full-on lock.

• Dodd (9/5): Generous, friendly, warm staff and cute, comfortable, homey hostel near the beach:) - This place was WONDERFUL, I paid an extra 10 euros and was driven to the airport in the morning by such a sweet host. The facilities were clean, the small guest kitchen is very cute and quirky(but small, not the place for Gordon Ramsey's perhaps;) The beaches were so close and beautiful the garden common space was a great space to hang out. Facilities were clean. I really enjoyed my time here close to the airport, bus stops and supermarkets. Loved that it was a small family feeling type of place. Highly recommend staying a night or two after or before long travel days. Not the fault of the hostel or wonderful staff, but when I travelled in august it was 35 degrees every day. The rooms have many fans (5 in my room alone!) which helps but still makes for warm nights so prepare for this fellow explorers! Also quite far (~40 minutes) from split, but about 10 mins to the airport, which was what I needed but may not be convenient for those expecting to be in the centre of split.

• Verena (8/5): Quirky place in great location to a beach - Unique place with a bit of a hippy vibe. Owner was very nice and chilled. The location is 1 min away from the beach. Not a large beach but enough to spend last day till my flight. Airport is 5 min by car. Super convenient.

The room was clean and quiet, all facilities were great as well. When I was leaving, the host offered to drive me to the airport. All in all - great experience Nothing

I could not enjoy much of the property, since my one night stay was very short. The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. He upgraded me to a private room, when I booked a dorm bed.

• Anne (8/5): Wonderful location, people, place! - Super Kind host, he even offered beach towels for visiting the ocean, which is literally only 1 min walk from the hostel! It has a beautiful kitchen and garden and invites guests to hang out, meet each other and make new friends. I highly recommend staying here for at least a couple of nights. Unfortunately I had to leave very early in the morning, to catch a flight, so I didn't have much time at hostel Oktarin. But I would have loved to stay longer, if I had the chance.

• Anna (6/5): Humble, chill stay in what feels like someone’s bach - A cute house turned hostel on the coast next to beach bars. The staff are very friendly. Even gave us a shower towel. The facilities are not modern, and often dirty. There is no aircon, only fans which was not sufficient in 35 degree heat.

• Amy (10/5): Amazing - The location, oh my goood!!! It is so so so so beautiful here, I wish I had stayed longer. Sunrise is stunning and the beach and water are gorgeous. Beds were super comfy and everything was very clean. Bart was lovely and really helpful, took me to the airport in the morning.

• Vartan (10/5): Best place on the coast - This place is a gem! I felt visiting friends rather staying in a hostel. Met lots of great people and Jeko, the owner, is the best. The beach is 50m away, the airport is in walking distance, the fig three is providing a free breakfast :) The bus stop nearby makes it easy to visit beautiful Trogir and Split. No aircon

• Honey (8/5): Relaxing at home away from home - location is closed to the beach, superb! nice to relax coz the accommodation and vicinity is safe and quiet. with nearby bar (cafe/resto/bakery) i was still charged for a night, at least being considerate to less since it is an unavoidable situation from my side but the situation and knowing I still proceed and stayed according to booked days. at least consider a situation like that to the guest.

• Łukasz (9/5): Superb - The best part of this hostel is that, that you can feel family atmosphere - like in home. House is close to airport - on my opinion this is positive. Small city with small houses is giving unique time to spend outside of city buzz. Beach is very close. For convenience, there is a kitchen with dishes and pots if someone wants to prepare something. City centre is close and has lovely restaurants and views. Rooms and other areas are clean. There could be air conditioning in the rooms, as Croatian days and nights are hot - but also this is positive thing if someone doesn't like air condition.

• Marin (10/5): Exceptional - Hostel Oktarin is a really chill place that offers great peace and comfort. The facilities are clean, wi fi is strong, bed was comfortable, garden is well maintained with a nice hammock if you want to chill out there. If you want to make your own meals there is a small well equipped kitchen at your convenience. Beach is just two minutes away! Željko, the owner,  is really chill and cool guy, well knowledgeable about the area and always ready to help. Thank you for everything and see you sooner or later 🤙!

I felt at home there the second I arrived ❤️ Zeljko (the owner) goes above and beyond for his guests, I have never met a man as kind and genuine as him before. Don't even get me started on the location, because it's just perfect. I never want to leave. Do yourself a favour and visit Hostel Oktarin, you won't regret it! Best experience of my life (also met some amazing people there:) Thank you to Zeljiko and his two boys for everything!
• Dominic (10/5): Close to the airport and the sea. A great place to spend a first night. - Great atmosphere, very relaxed, friendly host. Music room was a cool unexpected addition. The bedrooms have no A/C and are exceptionally warm in summer! :)
• Alexandra (10/5): This is the place to go! - Oktarin is a great place to go for people travelling on their own, or in a group. Although don’t expect a five star hotel - it’s not that type of vibe! Oktarin is very clean and tidy but it’s a chilled vibe. I’d say it’s more of a home from home than a luxurious hotel. The host is amazing! Extremely kind and respectful and accommodating. He also had great transport knowledge for anyone who is looking to explore. The showers were great (towels can be provided too), and the garden space is beautiful. Overall I would 100% recommended and I will definitely be back! There was nothing I didn’t like about the property.

• Biddle (8/5): fantastic place with a beautiful family running it, the only downside was extremely uncomfortable during the night cause - right next to the beach!! down the road is grocery store, the airport, pharmacy no air conditioning, it was so so so hot during the nights. the standing fans don’t reach top bunks & the ceiling fan was on the other side of the room
