• Charlotte (8/5): Comfortable place for a short stay - Nice room and bathroom, clean. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Renovations made in the hotel from 8.30am (they could have waited check out time). A small fridge would have been nice and the sink is not very practical.

• David (4/5): Okay - The rooms had some charm despite construction work being carried out. Only one male toilet which was a small problem. Forget sleeping on Friday and Saturday nights as there were some astonishingly untalented artists playing far too loudly until far too late both of these nights. Sleep was impossible. Other pubs will warn guests when booking . Had I known, I would have stayed elsewhere.

• Dean (9/5): - Good showers, fluffy towels, comfy beds, good location. I had an assignment to do and was able to work easily using the desk in the room. Having easy access to the pub for food and drinks was good. Front door (at side of pub) was a bit hard to get into with suitcases because it is heavy and narrow.

• Nazi (6/5): - Had a brief stop at the hotel while travelling. It was okay for a short stay—basic accommodation that served its purpose, but nothing particularly noteworthy. It does have a small car park at the back of the building that helps.

Exceptional staff - courteous and professional - from managers to wait staff to cleaners, everyone! Highly recommended as a good quality budget stay. Nothing - very good value for money. Will stay again.

• Eva (8/5): Great stopover location - Everything was nice and clean, even the shared bathroom. Also the restaurant was really nice. Since the hotel is above a pub, it was pretty loud. Nothing some earplugs can’t fix, but a little annoying.

• Mikki11 (10/5): Great place to stay for a night or two! - The shared bathroom was very clean when I first checked in, the bed was very comfy and the room was very clean. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and took the time to explain everything about the room and checking out which I appreciated. Would definitely recommend! Not the hotel or staff’s fault but there were a couple of women staying at the hotel who left the showers and women’s bathroom a mess. The bathroom that was very clean when I first checked in but later on it was covered in water and the tiny bin in the bathroom was overflowing as they had tried to stuff bigger rubbish into it. Wish people were more considerate of shared spaces.

Common bathroom meh. - The location was very good, central, There is competition for parking, so I made sure that i was back at the hotel for 6pm before the bar and restaurant got busy. Really liked the restaurant - they had a different theme each night and I thought the quality of food was great, as was the pricing. Beer only came in small glasses, you could only order a pint if it was Guinness. That was sad because I just wanted a pint, not two trips to the bar and I don't like dark beers. Literally my only "complaint" here. The bedroom door had no way to lock it once you were inside, and it turns out (I had to ask someone to come up and help me out) that the hotel knows they have an issue with it. You have to shut the door hard enough to hear the click so you know it is locked but you have no way to actually check that without opening the door, in which case it isn't locked. This should have been made clear when I checked in. As a solo woman traveler, it is not comfortable to be unsure if someone can just open the door while you are in your room. Did not like the common bathroom, but I should have checked. I assumed "hotel" meant private bathroom. It does not.

• Anaïs (7/5): Très bien ! - Le personnel est très gentil. L'endroit est calme malgré la présence du bar en dessous. Le lit est confortable. Le parking réservé à l'hôtel est trop petit. Il faut se garer sur un parking payant. Il faudrait un système (une affiche à mettre sur le pare-brise par exemple) pour dire que c'est un véhicule qui séjourne à l'hôtel.

Trotz geteiltem Badezimmer hatten wir das Gefühl alleine in der Unterkunft zu sein. Es gibt kostenfreie Parkplätze. Ein super Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis Die Unterkunft ist etwas abseits gelegen. Es bietet sich an, mit einem Auto anzureisen.

• Larissa (8/5): - Small room but the bed was comfortable. Communal showers and toilets were always clean. It wasn’t very busy when we stayed so it was quiet. Parking onsite is free. The restaurant has delicious food.
• Stephanie (7/5): Needs an update - Nice pub, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, good food, overall good value. The rooms have air con and are surprisingly quiet. The accommodation was stylishly renovated some years back. The accommodation won an award for best pub accommodation in 2018 which was probably shortly after the renovations. It needs another upgrade now. The mattress was sagging and the carpet frayed. The bathroom facilities were clean but the chipped tiles let it down. It would also be nice to have a shelf in the shower to put things like key and glasses on.
