Natascha (10/5): Super Unterkunft, toller Meerblick! - Ein super Hotel! Lage ist sehr gut, direkt am Meer, am Stadtrand ausserhalb des Trubels, Supermärkte in der Nähe und mit einem Mietwagen hat man von da aus sehr schnell die Besten Hikes erreicht. Es gibt einen eigenen Parkplatz direkt am Hotel. Parkplatzsuche ist damit kein Problem. Unser Appartement war in einem sehr guten Zustand und echt schön gestaltet (siehe Fotos). Frühstück wird bereits am Vortag bereitgestellt, sodass man frühstücken kann, wann immer man möchte (super praktisch für langschläfer wie uns!). Der Besitzer Rui ist ein sehr angenehmer, cooler Kerl! Sehr freundlich, lustig, hilfsbereit und engagiert. Die Hauskatze ist ne super liebe (und hübsche)... und sehr verschmust! :) Das Lokal ist derzeit leider wegen Renovierungsarbeiten geschlossen. Mit einem Mietwagen und der ausreichend eingerichteten Küche ist das aber kein Problem. FAZIT: Wir würden uns hier jederzeit wieder einbuchen. ;)

Jasmin (8/5): Klasse Aussicht - Die Lage und Aussicht waren klasse. Der Check-in hat gut geklappt. Das Frühstück war lecker und für uns vollkommen ausreichend. Am besten fanden wir die kleinen Küchlein dazu. Parkplatz direkt vor der Tür - super. Fahrstuhl vorhanden. Uns haben Trockentücher gefehlt und das Kochfeld hat leider ewig gebraucht um heiß zu werden.

Tiago (9/5): Perfect Stay - Our stay at this hotel was great. Everything was very good, the Staff (Rui) was very helpful, the breakfast was also very good. We had the sea view from our apartment and it was a delight waking up in the morning having that view. We will come back and we recommend this place.

jeanne (8/5): Fantastic view of the ocean. Large room, helpful staff. - Wonderful view of the ocean from the room. Felt like you were on a boat! could hear the crashing waves. Really special. Room was large with big windows and had a kitchenette. Helpful staff -- there to greet you and show you around the room. Easy checkout. Large space for parking. Nice breakfast provided the night before left conveniently right in your fridg - mix of yoghurts, breads, meats/cheese, juice. A few tips but really, nothing major -- Ideally could use more light in the bathroom, a nightstand next to the bed and a winner would be a toaster in the kitchen :). I'd remove the shelving on the walls as it's not functional and is in the way. The chairs could use some spot cleaning. The cleaning supplies that were used caused a strong odor -- I vented the apartment with the great windows and let the sea air come in but something less noticeable would be better. The turn into the driveway needs some care given that you need to watch for those leaving
Francisco (5/5): Dececionante: acabei por não ficar alojado - É verdade que o Hotel Azul Pastel tem vista de mar, mas, sendo o Faial uma ilha, quase todos os alojamentos a têm. A localização não é propriamente central: fica a cerca de 2,4 km da Horta, o que obriga a carro para praticamente tudo. O que realmente me levou a não permanecer foi o serviço. O pequeno-almoço anunciado no Booking nada tem a ver com o que se entende por “pequeno-almoço incluído”. Na prática, é deixado no quarto na tarde do dia anterior, quando alguém passa para limpar, e consiste apenas em pão (que no dia seguinte está tudo menos fresco) e dois croissants. No meu caso, o “pequeno-almoço para duas pessoas” resumia-se a quatro fatias de queijo, duas de fiambre e duas de presunto e isto para o dia seguinte. Não há qualquer frescura, variedade ou atenção ao hóspede. Decidi, por isso, não ficar as quatro noites reservadas. Preferi perder o valor pago e mudar-me para um hotel de quatro estrelas em frente à marina, com melhor serviço e, ironicamente, mais barato.

Mirjam (6/5): Bestimmt schon bessere Zeiten gehabt - Fußläufig nach Horta erreichbar, Parkplatz vorhanden hervorzuheben ist der wohl selbst gebackene Kuchen, der jeden Tag bereit gestellt wurde. Als erstes sah ich die Betten und konnte nicht fassen, dass die Decke keinen Bettüberzug hatte. Sie lag auf einem Laken. Also Decke beiseite. Die Couch und Stühle sind mit Flecken übersät. Zum Glück hatte ich die Flugzeugdecke mit. Die Couch war wirklich eklig.! Es gibt keine Schränke um den Koffer auszupacken. Nur 5 Bügel und 1 Regal mit 2 Fächern. Die Fenster schmutzig, keine Vorhänge. Mussten immer Rollo unten lassen, da das Zimmer so ungünstig lag, dass Jeder vorbei lief, praktisch durch unser Zimmer lief. Ich hatte das Hotel gewählt, um einmal auf der Rundreise Fruhstück dabei zu haben. Ja ist dabei. Wird, inklusive Brötchen, den Tag vorher ins Zimmer bzw. in den Kühlschrank getan. Marmelade, Butter, Honig, Käse und Wurst. Ein Youghurt., ein Obstteil, 2 Eier, Espressomaschinen vorhanden. Es wird mit Küche beworben. Ausstattung sehr mangelhaft. Die Pfanne war so klein und zerkratzt, da hat das Rührei sich geweigert gebraten zu werden. Nudeln und Tomatensauce geht. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht und würden das Hotel nicht noch einmal wählen

Firmino (9/5): - No geral gostei de tudo Expresso o meu desagrado relativamente ao pequeno-almoço deixado no quarto no último dia da estadia, que não se apresentou completo. A situação deveu-se, segundo percebi, ao facto de no dia anterior não terem sido consumidos todos os waffles e fruta incluídos no pequeno-almoço. No entanto, esses alimentos estavam reservados para serem consumidos ao final da tarde, e não imediatamente. Ainda assim, a sua ausência no pequeno-almoço seguinte foi notória e deixou uma impressão negativa. Considero esta atitude pouco cuidadosa e algo mesquinha, principalmente tendo em conta que se tratavam de alimentos incluídos previamente no serviço contratado. Agradeço que revejam este tipo de procedimento, de forma a garantir uma melhor experiência para os hóspedes no futuro.

La vue sur l'océan depuis l'appartement est bien jolie, malgré la route et quelques câbles. Vu la taille de l'île de Faïal, tout est à proximité. Myken (10/5): Views and Breakfast! - Our family of 5 stayed in 3 separate units, The apartment had so much light and a gorgeous view of the ocean. Breakfast was included and delivered to our room the night before so we were able to eat it whenever we woke up. We wish we had more time and could have stayed longer. We had a rental car and the approach from the street was hard to see the driveway which was very steep. There is nothing the property could have done but maybe the city could put in a mirror on the street so you could see if anyone else was coming down out of the driveway.

Susana (8/5): The host was very nice and available to help out when needed. - Great apartment by the sea equipped with all you need for a stay, perfect for travelers who enjoy their autonomy. The breakfast concept was really interesting, being delivered to your room the afternoon before and the host was very king to get free lactose milk for us. During our stay there was an issue with the hot water so we weren’t able to take a hot shower both nights. Not critical, but after a long day out it would have been nice to take a warm shower.

We also liked the breakfast concept - you could have it at the time convenient for you, depending on whether if you plan to sleep longer or need to wake up early to see the sunrise. We visited it out of the season so there were some ongoing renovations inside, but the owner was very kind to adjust the schedule of it so that we could rest as planned :)

Robbert (10/5): Beautiful stay - Nice apartments located near Horta. The apartment that we had was very spacious, had its own kitchen and a good view over the ocean. Rui (The host) welcomed us, showed us around and also gave us some great tips for places to visit around the island and for places to eat. Breakfast is left in the room the day before, but with the toaster that is available, the bread was still fine to eat. Private parking to the side of the house also has enough space for all guests cars.

I Guess the girl who gave us the keys is named Tatiana and she was super nice and kind. I guess the distance from the center its a little bit significante because of the short offer of taxis (at least during my stay )

Kenneth (9/5): An enjoyable stay - The room was spacious and quite well stocked. You had to unlock the door to get out of the room and also out of the building at night. This could be a safety hazard in the event of a fire as even if you have the key it is an extra step before you can get out. The breakfast was well provided for. However as it was provided in the room the day before, sometimes the bread was not all that fresh.

Jorge (8/5): Lovely quiet place with great views - The room was extremely spacious and it was possible to cook something if necessary. When I booked it I thought it was only a room but they were all small apartments with kitchenettes. The hotel is situated by a quiet road and has fantastic views to the sea. There is a snack-bar downstairs where you can have burgers or other quick bites. There's a car parking and it's fast to drive to Horta. A nice place to stay near Horta. I would have liked to have breakfast downstairs in the snack-bar with fresh bread, with service, instead of getting it in the room the evening before.
Lynda (10/5): - The actual rooms are exactly what you see in the photos and the views from the superior apartment are out of this world …. We wish we had have stayed longer! Comfortable furnishings and incredible space. Our introduction to the Azores could not have been better! Thanks to the team !!
Stefania (9/5): Surrounded by nature and the sea - I loved the large windows that let the island enter into the flat and made it very bright with beautiful views! The manager was very kind meeting our requests for gluten-free bread. Daily cleaning, generous breakfast, parking, quiet despite the pub below, very good value for money. I recommend. Samantha (9/5): This property is beautiful and unique compared to most, very spacious with beautiful views from your room. Great locatio - The ocean facing view was beautiful to wake up to and allowed for a lot of natural light. Windows opened up if you wanted to listen to the ocean. Breakfast included was more than enough, and was replenished daily with juice, milk, bread, meats, cheese, cake, and coffee. The property was conveniently located just outside of the town of Horta, in between the airport and ferry port. There is a restaurant just below the property that was always busy with locals which was a good sign, although I didn’t dine there. You also didn’t hear the noise from the restaurant in your room which was great. The majority of rooms seem to be two twin beds pushed together which was not ideal as I was traveling with my partner but it was the only room available to book, even though we didn’t see any other guests staying there at the time. Host was not very responsive or around for check-in or check-out, but was okay we had what we needed.

Andrej (9/5): Superb - Great value for money. A lot of space and a stunning view of the ocean. The owner is a very nice guy with a healthy dose of humor. Cleaning was done in a very good way. The breakfast was put in your room at the end of the day, so you could do the breakfast whenever you wanted. Tip: don't skip the cakes that the mother of the owner makes. We loved them, took them with us on hikes. Would have been nice to have a bit bigger terrace / outside area directly with the room.
Sebastian (10/5): Great place to explore Faial island! - Great view over the ocean. Walking to the center of Horta takes about 20-30 Min. Nice bar/restaurant on the ground floor. Parking spaces available!

Douglas (10/5): Great stay in Horta - Excellent hotel for a stay in Horta. A bit off the town but convenient to get on the road for your activities. There is a good restaurant on site, probably the only option in the island for a good hamburger and a cold beer (you may say “really? A hamburger in the Azores?” Yes… after a few days of sea food, you will be craving for one). All items for breakfast were left for us to prepare in the very spacious sea front room and we felt home. It was da delightful experience.
Dawn (9/5): Superb - The check-in was easy, the staff was friendly. The ocean views from the all rooms of our spacious flat were exceptional. There was a restaurant on-site which was great when open. The staff stocked delicious food items in our kitchen each day for breakfast, and we had a coffee maker. The table in the kitchen was great to work on. The beds were comfortable, and there was heating which came in handy as it was chilly during our rainy winter stay. There were cubicles to place our clothes in, hangers, benches, a comfortable couch, and additional chairs. We really enjoyed it, and would definitely stay again if we return to Horta. We had a lovely lunch at the hotel restaurant the day we checked in, but after that, it closed down. It was off season, but we didn't realize it would be completely closed. Since we didn't have a car, we needed to walk into town to get food. Not a real bother, but we were looking forward to a meal or having drinks on-site outside of our room, as it was such a glorious location.

Anna (8/5): Very good - location was perfect, views from windows 🥰 kitchen was well equipped, breakfast was also good. The owner of aparthotel is very friendly and helpful, Thank you a lot for everything! cleanliness in the apartment 🙁 windows are dirty, furniture with dirty spots, the shower had dirty glass and mold, bed sheets and blankets were damp and not perfectly clean, dust on surfaces. However the kitchen was clean!
Max_1971 (8/5): Very good - Large flat with the conforts as you can see in the site's pictures. Good breakfast. Under the flat there is a gastropub where you can eat burgher or salad. The ocean is in front of you. The owner is very helpfull. 15 minute walk to center. In general, the cleaning of the apartment could be more accurate, especially that of the floor and the bathroom.
