- Thomas (10/5): Exceptionnel et authentique - Un ryokan exceptionnel et un accueil hors du commun. Leur petit déjeuner et leur dîner sont incroyables. Faits avec des ingrédients locaux. Une cuisine exceptionnelle et traditionnelle qui vaut totalement la peine d’être goûtée. Les chambres sont incroyables et leur onsen avec l’eau de source chaude est juste génial aussi. Je n’ai pas assez de mots pour décrire la qualité de l’expérience. Je recommande très clairement. Nos hôtes et la qualité de vie vont nous manquer.

Nous avons une grande habitude des ryokans mais celui ci est tout ce qu'on aime : tenu par une famille très aimable et toujours prête à aider (et qui parle anglais sans pb), la cuisine est remarquable, faite avec des produits locaux de saisons et particulièrement recherchée et savoureuse . Franchement une de nos meilleures expériences ! Ps : et la salle de ping pong est fun ! Rien

- Stephan (10/5): - - Waren super freundlichen und haben sich auch die Zeit genommen mit mir ein wenig Japanisch (eher limitieret) zu Quatschen. - Onsen war super - Geräumiges Zimmer - Habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt - Abendessen war super, eifach nur empfehlenswert. - Wenn man mit dem Bus anreist muss um ca. 16:20 am Bahnhof sein, um das Checkin nicht zu verpassen. - Busverbindungen zum Bahnhof und weiter zum Dewa Sanzan passen nicht überein und man muss rund ne Stunde am Bahnhof warten.

Le couple qui tient ce ryokan est adorable, nous avons pu passer un très bon moment ainsi qu’utiliser le onsen privé qui est très agréable. Je recommande cet établissement les yeux fermés !

- Joanne (10/5): Our stay here was short but interesting and enjoyable. - There is no elevator so I was happy but embarrassed when the girl who checked us in carried all our suitcases (4 trips w heavy luggage!) up to our second floor room for us. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent and the sake tasting was exceptional. They gave us their largest room which was much appreciated. The WiFi signal in the room was weak.

- Nathan (10/5): A hidden gem nestled in the hills of Tsuruoka. - Of all the hotels and ryokans I stayed at during my two weeks traveling Japan, the night at Tsukasaya Ryokan was by far my favorite. Mrs. Shoji personally came out and greeted me at my taxi. From that moment onward, I felt as if I was receiving an experience personalized just for me. After showing me to my room, Mrs. Shoji informed me of several local attractions (parks, shrines, temples, etc.) that were lovely to visit prior to returning for dinner. Every moment of the stay felt thoughtfully crafted and authentic. The food was delicious, containing many dishes that I had never before experienced. The onsen, while small and enclosed, was at just the right temperature and left my skin feeling the best it has in years. The design of the structure was charming and authentic (as best that a foreigner like myself can judge). The staff were friendly and accommodating. My only regret is not having someone with whom to share this magical experience.

The onsen water is not too cold or too warm. The breakfast is also very enjoyable. The ryokan owners are kind. This is a nice experience.
- Andreas (10/5): Exceptional - The delicious meals are prepared with fresh and very local products. Some you can only find in Shonai area. There is also a great selection of Nihon-shu. The ryokan offers tasting sets from 3-10 different sake.
- Verified traveler (8/5): よい旅館 - 料理は美味しかったように思う。野菜がとくにおいしかった。周辺は温泉宿がいくつもあり、趣がある。しかし、水族館や海など、他の山形県のみどころからは離れているので、一泊二日だと、温泉と料理だけを楽しむ旅行になってしまうことは、人によっては難点かもしれない。

- KIYOTAKA (8/5): ゆったりとした温泉旅館 - 若いご夫婦による経営で活気を感じる旅館でした。 温泉旅館が並ぶ場所で、すぐ横に公衆温泉もあり、旅館のお風呂だけでなく、楽しめますし、ゆったりとするには、良いと思います。 夕ご飯は、鶴岡駅周辺の割烹うなぎ屋さんに行き、地場の魚を堪能しましたし、その中で岩ガキは、大きく、プリプリして、最高でした。
