• Đỗ (8/5): Overall, a clean and convenient stay - Good location - very close to public transport and surrounded by great local restaurants. It is right next to Lungshan Temple, which is great for sightseeing, but it can be noisy at night and early in the morning due to the temple chanting. A huge thank you to the housekeeping team: our room was cleaned perfectly every day, and we really appreciated the daily towel and bedding changes. A few things to note: the room is quite small (hard to open two suitcases), and there is no on-site laundry, so we had to use a nearby laundromat. Also, some front desk staff have limited English, though they are friendly.

• Lisa (10/5): Great place in great location - Location was awesome. You are a block from the subway, there is a yummy night market nearby and a ton of interesting buildings and tourist spots close as well. I had visited the area before but so much more there than I thought, and I was glad to be a "local" to or three days! Yet ... my room was so quiet! I was as worried about noise when I booked but even on the 3rd floor, it was quiet. Comfy bed, a spot to put my clothes, and an elevator! One of my happy lodging surprises

• 家瑜 (8/5): 我平常不會注意要那麼多事，但這些我忽略不了 - 在龍山寺正後方，非常好找，拜拜完可以直接入住，附近還有夜市能逛，地下街連通捷運跟龍山寺，所以也不用曬太陽或淋雨，只有出來的那小段路是戶外的。 1.朝外的窗戶建議改氣密窗，晚上22後還能聽到公車等車輛行駛的聲音，誰懂？ 2.一次性拖鞋，我拿第一雙的時候看起來像有拆封痕跡，但鞋子看起來沒穿過。 3.毛巾沒洗乾淨，女生月經都有沾過毛巾吧？ 就是那種有沾到，拿去洗但沒洗乾淨的樣子。

Train station close by. the view from the hotel room. reasonable price. very unique hotel, super cute tiny elevator. the shower wasn't working properly, was tricky to take a shower, the water doesn't really come out well.

• Stefani (9/5): Superb - I had a great experience at Monka Hotel. Great location right next to the Longshan Temple and the MRT station with lots of great places to eat in the area. The staff was very friendly and responsive, the room was very clean and although a little bit small it was very comfortable and had all the amenities needed. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Taipei.
• Weronika (5/5): The location is very good, but the size of the room and above all the mould do not work in its favour - The location is very good. We could see the temple from our window. Close to one of the night markets. You have to walk a bit to the centre. The room we had booked was tiny and still not the smallest of the rooms the hotel offers. There is no place to put suitcases/backpacks. The wardrobe is made up of 4 hangers. Worst of all, there was mould in the room, both visually and by smell. And not just a little bit, but normally large mould stains on the walls.

• Blake (8/5): - Very great staff helping make my late arrival work. Comfortable bed and nice bath. Only problem was broken fridge but it’s a minor issue. I would recommend tourists stay here. One of the biggest tourist spots is less than a minute walk.

• Taylor (9/5): Enjoyable stay. - Location was good. Was close to MRT station. Didn't explore the nearby area too much, but the temple seemed neat. Room (and hotel overall) were a bit smaller than expected, and the bathroom was very cramped, but for two people it was fine.

• Joseph (4/5): Might be ok if you dont need internet and are traveling with only a backpack - Nice location near to Longshan Temple and MRT. Bathroom is quite nice, and shower water pressure is great. The room is very small. If you have luggage (like we did) you will need to step over it to get around. There’s just enough floor space to open it. The elevator is also extremely small. Again, if you have luggage, you will need to make multiple trips to get your luggage up to the room. I believe it is meant to carry one person at a time - if you’re claustrophobic you will struggle. The size of the room is specified in the description, but the pictures do not quite capture how small it is. WiFi also does not reach the room. We sat next to the door to get a more consistent signal. Overall, we were disappointed and did not think it was worth the price.

• alice (8/5): - 客室も外観もおしゃれで、部屋は狭いですが過ごしやすいように工夫されていました。 清潔感もありますが、シャワーブースの端っこの汚れが少し気になります。 また、シャワーヘッドがとても使いにくく、持つとクルクル回り、高い位置のフックにかけようとしたらフックの一部が簡単に取れました。このあたりのメンテナンスをもう少し頑張ってもらえると更に良いかと思います。 他の方の口コミにもありますが、エレベーターが見たことないくらい狭いです。スーツケース１つとリュックを背負った人１人でいっぱいです。これはどうしようもないので、複数人で泊まる方は順番に使うしかないですね。ただ、客室数が少ないのか、宿泊客が少ないのか、エレベーターがいっぱいで乗れないということはありませんでしたので、一人で泊まる分には不便は有りません。 夜市にも駅にも龍山寺にも近く、とても便利に過ごせました。周辺にはホームレスと思われる方も多いエリアですが、観光客も多いので特に怖いとも思いませんでした。

• Judith (9/5): Superb - Excellent location next to main temple. Shared ownership with Longshan inn next door. We stayed one night here and the others in the Longshan inn. This was made very easy by staff.
• Duygu (8/5): Good but a litte pricey - The location, it’s small but compact room with everything you need. The view out of the window, when you take your morning coffee in bed is unique. The communication, i had to write them on facebook ( as in find their page online and write) so that they give me information about self check in as i was arriving late and the reception was not open after 10 pm. In the end worked out without any problems.

Aside from friendly staff and the tourist attraction Longshan Temple is next to the hotel, the hotel location is convenient to shop for food and it is within walking distance to public transportations. I would give it 5 stars for property facility if the hotel’s internet speed was faster and have a safe for travellers to lock up their valuables.

Training necessary! -room is so small that there is almost no space for unfolding a single small suitcase. Some rack or similar design hack would be helpful.

Lots of dining options during the day as well. 200m away from Longshan station and 1 station away from Ximen station. Only downside was the size of the room but you’ll be fine if you’re traveling solo or as a couple.

• Svenja (10/5): Perfect first time in Taipei - Our stay was really nice. In a perfect location, next to the temple and the MRT. The staff at the hotel was lovely and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms and especially the bed were super comfy. Great showers and a heated toilet.

• Yee (7/5): Guy receptionist friendly, clean but small not worth $ - Clean and the guy at the reception was very helpful and polite. Very small. The girl receptionist was rude and really should not be working in customer service. We arrived and she was yelling at an old lady (not hotel guest) in front of the hotel about something. Then there was no greeting no friendliness. The room was clean but very very small - the sink was right by the front door and then the bed! Smallest room I’ve ever stayed in, for aud $400 a night! Not worth it in my view.
