Had to wait 1.5hrs after a 4hr drive, even though we were there after check in time.
1 ply toilet paper was like using public toilets. Not worth what we paid

- Courtenay (8/5): - Great spot to get around city with trams and to MCG. Apartment was clean and tidy. However as it was long wknd there was no restaurants open in the area. Was great to have a Woolies close by. There was no broom in the apartment which was annoying when you had a family for a few days. We had family on different levels and it was very difficult to get between rooms for meals. Understand it was a security being in different levels. But made it hard. I had booked for 5 people 2 adults 3 kids. There was only room to sleep 4. We had to go to reception to ask for another bed, they asked if one kid couldn’t sleep with us. They were very helpful and bought us a rollaway bed which was very much appreciated. But disappointed that I had booked for 5 and could only sleep 4. It they fixed it pretty quickly. Dispute those couple of things apartment was good and grey that there was a tram stop straight out front. Would stay again.

However our apartment hadn't been painted in years, every wall & corner had chipped paint and was dirty. Also the carpet was disgusting, stained everywhere and miles past it's use-by date. Although the apartment was clean, the sad state of the walls and carpets made the place an unpleasant place to stay.

Just be aware that air-conditioning was only in the living area so had to open the doors or windows when weather is warm. However, opening the windows can be a bit noisy at night. Tiilet paper provided was just enough for the stay and we had to ration the last pieces Inspite asking reception on the day before check out, they didn't replenish so the 3 of us had to make sure there was enough the night and morning before check out. Apart from that, it was great.

- Mellissa (6/5): Needs more attention to detail - This is my second stay in these apartments and both apartments could use a really good clean, specifically in the kitchen and bathroom. The locks to the balcony were not working, stains on the couch etc.
On a good note, the bed was comfortable.

It was great to watch the happenings on the harbour from the balcony. The lady at reception was lovely and very helpful. There are plenty of food options and a Woolworths in easy walking distance. Blinds were left up so place was hot when we got there. Worked out 1 of them wasn’t working, so fixed that too. Enjoyed my stay but shouldn’t have to be a handy man 1st to make it comfortable.

- 447jackiem (4/5): Not our greatest experience, stay elsewhere. - I have stayed in around a hundred hotels and apartments all over the world and this was the most unkempt and uncared for place I've ever stayed (apartment 1503?). We booked a 2 bedroom "deluxe apartment", $790 for 2 nights. The apartment had stained/dirty carpets, stained couches, marks all over every wall,dents on the fridge, the laminate floor was trashed, the blinds were frayed and dirty and the sliding door to the balcony 15 floors up could not be locked. Don't give them any of your hard earned money, stay elsewhere.

The 2 bedroom apartment was big enough for the 3 of us. Basic amenities. Good views of the river. Quiet end of the city. Comfy beds, however no extra pillows or blankets should we need them. Kitchen was small and functional. Free parking which was a bonus.
- Craig (6/5): - Location is great. Free hotel parking is fabulous. Reception people are lovely. The 2 bedroom apartment with 2 bathrooms and a balcony was physically terrific and very spacious, BUT, the overall condition of the apartment was quite poor. Stained and dirty sofas, covered with flimsy sofa covers - that revealed a patch work of stains when they fell off. Scuff marks and damage all over the white walls. Stains and marks all over the carpet in the bedrooms. Not bad stains on the carpets, but enough to be "off putting". We had a "deluxe" room, but the apartment did not feel "deluxe". It felt sparse and basic, with an undercurrent of not really being overly clean. The utensils and crockery and pots and pans for the kitchen are far too few, and far too basic. There were no extra pillows or blankets which was disappointing. Trying to park, so you can check in and check out is a nightmare - as there is just no where to park. All spots are taken, unless you drive around in circles and finally find a spot, then walk four or five minutes to reception. Overall... I was quite disappointed. It was not, by any means "unacceptable", but I definitely would not go back.
- wintersson (4/5): Poor choice - What a disappointment this apartment was! Firstly, the pictures on both the Agoda site and Winston web site are grossly misrepresenting what you get. I booked a 'Deluxe' two bedroom with two bathrooms for the three of us and the first thing was the very bad smell in the hallway which permeated into the unit. This was continually there for the two nights we were there. Secondly, the apartment was not of deluxe standard with bedrooms so small there was no furniture in them apart from the bed and two side tables. No room for your luggage nor any draws to put your clothes in so you did everything off the floor. Broken mirror on the wardrobe door made it all look tatty. High ($1000.00) breakage deposit also a letdown as was some signage in the unit being all in Chinese!
There were also some pros which included parking (complicated) and it was handy to the city with a free tram right outside. The receptionist was friendly and gave us the keys and let us park our rental car before check-in time which saved us because we would not have gotten back from our event prior to the reception closing which is 6pm. The Asian lady was hard to understand though with a heavy accent plus wearing a face mask, so it took us some time to figure out where to go. Looks like their market is predominately Asian.
Do not recommend these premises unless you get a great deal.

We were a little let down by the apartment based on photos that we had seen online.
The king bed in one bedroom was 2 singles pushed together and with a child who often gets scared at new places, it wasn't the most comfortable.
The apartment just needed a little TLC - new couch as the one there wasn't that comfortable and was quite stained. Lack of decorating made it feel very clinical.
Bedside tables on both sides would be a great idea too.
Nice location but not sure we would stay again.

Location is very convenient, hop on/off the free tram in front of the apartment, only a short stroll to the city. Woolworths,restaurants and pharmacy are nearby.

Location was great, right in front of the tram stop and very close to the supermarket and cafes.

- Dreamerweaver67 (2/5): Apartments okay, financial side of the transaction is troublesome. - Apartments are big and balcony is great, however the financial side of things is appalling. I have stayed at these apartments two weeks in a row and they do not know what they are doing with their accounts. The deposit / bond authorisations are not being processed correctly and they will not discuss it. The hotel is meant to pick up the authorisations within 9 days otherwise the authorisation lapses. In this case I have had to wait the 9 days and then lodge disputes with my bank and still waiting to get the authorisations cancelled. The hotel is just blaming the bank, mate I work for the bank.

Spacious, clean, comfortable, fully equipped apartment in quiet surroundings, with a beautiful view (21st floor) - free tram to the city right outside the front door. Very friendly reception. Only concern was the carpet in the bedroom was a bit stained - hardly their fault, but I was a bit worried I might be blamed and lose my bond - maybe an apartment condition report could be available.

- Frangipanione (6/5): We will find somewhere else to stay next time! - The apartment was fairly modern and spacious. As everyone else mentioned the carpets in the bedrooms were very dirty & stained. Tram stop at the front was handy. We wouldn't stay again purely because on our second day a staff member let herself into our apartment while I was laying in bed. They didn't even knock. They had a form to sign and just shouted sign! sign! sign. The rest of our stay we did not feel comfortable as we wondered when we were dressing or showering if someone else would just walk straight in. A bracelet also went missing during our stay so it just leaves some doubt and a bad experience.

Clean tea towels but no dish cloth to wash your cups although there was dishwashing liquid. Free parking was a great bonus. Tram stop was within the free tram zone and made getting into the cbd proper very easy. There was no parties in the other rooms. Nice stay for a reasonable price but the apartment needs a refresh.

Private indoor parking lot, all the necessary appliances, the TV with online streaming video service were included in the room rate. That was a really good deal, we couldn’t be happier.

4 of us were staying, took a while to find the place then when we got to our apartment we were in shock.
Dirty floors with long black hair everywhere, dirty bathrooms, one bedroom has blood splatter on the wall.
Damaged walls and broken tiles on the balcony.
We called reception to complain and ask for another room to be told there were no rooms. Instead we were given a vacuum, mop and bucket to clean our selves and a $30 refund.
We would have left had there been any rooms available anywhere.
Recommend AGAINST staying here.

The facilities are well maintained and the apartment was clean and tidy. Parking was straightforward and easy to locate and location is great right across the road from Woolworths! Well done! Look forward to staying again as a base for visits to Melbourne!

Moldy food left in refrigerator and dirty stained bed sheets in second bedroom. Bond was not refunded. After questioning they said they charged me a cleaning fee for a red wine stain on the carpet, I don't even drink!! This establishment has been featured on TV and is well known for stealing customers bonds. Stay far away!!

- M2486VTdebbiem (6/5): Stinky room, dirty floor, walls need a paint - I suppose we got what we paid for, however the pictures make it look so much nicer than it is when you arrive. The pool, spa and gym area were really nice. Parking was free and easy to access although the swipe for the car park is on the opposite side - meaning you have to get out of the car and walk over to it! Unfortunately our apartment had an odd odour - like asian or indian cooking smell that we could not get rid of. The wifi worked great, our view was amazing but the unit needs a paint and there was obvious dirt under the TV unit. To me it just needed a good clean. The girls at check in were lovely. Tram just accross the road and some good eateries around.
- Chan (8/5): Need to improve cleanliness - There were cockroaches in the the apartment. We did not use the dish washing machine as we saw there was food left inside. Dirts left on stoves. Powder detergent residues found in the washing machine. Need to improve. Bathroom flourescent tube did not work properly even we called twice to ask for changing or repair. But nothing was done. Room is spacious. Location is good. 2-bathrooms suit is an added value.

I booked a unit with 'city view', but all I got was a view of the surrounding buildings. Not impressed. I raised this concern to the management, but they said I was supposed to 'advise' them a 'higher floor' upon booking. I found their response appalling. They should've not advertised the lower units as 'city view apartments'. It's very misleading! Anyway. I better off staying at other apartments next time. The bathrooms were also not cleaned properly.

- zurainaab (10/5): Great Price and Easy Access to the Free Tram Zone Area - Winston Apartments Dockland #883 exceeded our expectation in terms of the warm welcome by Christina who helped us during checking, the security where only those with keys can go into the apartment building, the Victoria Station Tram station is located within the Free Tram Zone is just right in front of the apartment, nice Yarra River view facing the balcony, clean apartment, clean bathroom with its amenities, hairdryer included, fresh linen for the beds and clean fresh towels.
They also provide a complete set of kitchen utensils, a box full of coffee, tea, sugar and Nespresso machine for you to enjoy your coffee at the balcony. Iron and ironing board, washing machine, a dryer and dryer rack for you to use, which saves you from bringing in too many clothes during your holiday and gives you extra space in your bag for shopping goodies :-)
If you are staying more than a week, you will receive a 1-day complimentary apartment cleaning. The cleaner was also friendly and my husband even took a photo with his thumbs up for their good job. There is also a small swimming pool with a sauna, a gym, small cinema and karaoke in the apartment building.
The only side back is that the sink in the bathroom was clogged and water was not running down smoothly. Management should look into this for apartment no 1806 at Winston Apartment No. 883.
Going in and out of the apartment is easy as long as you have a key to touch to the security system installed outside of the apartment building. Yes, you have to bring down your rubbish down and please separate the recycle items. But this is not a problem for us.
The place is very windy and we had many nice photos of the area. The apartment is about 950 metres to DOF Docklands by walk or less than 15 mins by tram. About 10 mins to CBD area and Southern Cross Station, 5 mins away to Woolsworth Supermarket and other restaurants and bars around there. So, all in all, we will definitely be staying at Winston Apartments Dockland again.
- Susan (6/5): Could be better! - The stay was okay. I would rate it 4 star. Location wise was very close to free tram zone which makes traveling back and forth to apartment very easy. There’s free parking and a kitchen to prepare your own meal. I always booked a hotel and never stayed in an apartment. It’s a great experience. I would suggest disposable slippers since it’s a hard wood floor. I didn’t give it a 5 star because the place is not too clean. The person did not do a good job cleaning the apartment. There are hairs and cloth on the carpet in both bedrooms and there were garbage under the sofa cushion. He or she should inspect the area before renting.

At check-in, the receptionist clearly outlined how to access our apartment and directions to our designated secure carpark.
Our apartment met our needs and expectations with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and well-appointed kitchen, laundry and apartment facilities.
The location of our apartment was in the building at 883 Collins St and well located to Woolies, BWS, AusPost, Chemist and best of all, the last tram stop for No. 11 and 48 Trams to the CBD.
