• Janis (10/5): Enjoyable overnight stay - Clean, well equipped room in a very convenient location. Very friendly and helpful staff and great food in the restaurant. The heating was on in our room and even when we switched the radiator off, it didn't cool down quickly enough. The fan did help though.

• Lynne Smith 33 (9/5): Great hotel, lovely staff, will definitely go back - The outside area is beautiful with lots of seating and an outside bar. You can eat on the terrace or in the restaurant (booking recommended) the food was delicious. We were lucky, the weather was glorious for late April and it was lovely sitting in the sunshine enjoying the great surroundings. Bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. The room was warm (the heating hadn't been turned off) due to the unusually hot weather, the room didn't really cool down. Chalet type accommodation means you might be disturbed by customers chatting loudly as they go to breakfast as they pass your room.

• Lesley (8/5): Lovely hotel with beautiful room. - The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The room was quite small, in the eaves and had slopping ceilings - we both banged our heads a few times. It was busy at breakfast so we had to queue a little bit only because it’s such a popular place.

• Gregory (10/5): Excellent from check in the lady who checked me in was very pleasant and extremely helpful. - Everything was amazing from check in till departure, special mention to the check in lady who was very pleasant and very helpful, a real credit to the hotel. Nothing everything was excellent from the service to the standards of the rooms.

No one was at reception on arrival. The bathroom was very cold. Although windows were closed the towel radiator did not make it warm enough.

• Phillipa (8/5): A great brief stay in a friendly hotel which was convenient for our needs. We would stay again. - Great breakfast. Very clean. Comfy bed. Friendly and helpful staff who gave a warm welcome. Needed rugs or carpets by bed as floor wooden and cold in the winter.
• Ian (9/5): A great welcome at the end of a long, hard day. - I arrived 20 minutes after the kitchen was supposed to have closed. Had very little to eat all day to be told that the kitchen was still open and they cooked an absolutely lovely meal which I really appreciated. Not a lot.

The room was comfortable and ensuite had lots of extra special touches.really high quality linen and towels, high quality refreshments. Lack of public transport links, but that's not the hotel's fault.

I thought we had booked one small and one larger room but they both appeared to be rather small. the room was rather over heated.

• Christine (8/5): The Good aspects as described above were very good but the bad aspects as above … very bad - The location … the overall look… the interior of the rooms… the restaurant. 1)The set up for breakfast . Due to the resident wedding party who decended at same time and all together… of which we were not advised/warned… it was mayhem and everything ran out inc plates and cutlery etc and the waitress/manager/maitre d’ was very harassed and unhelpful to non wedding guests. 2) The location and difficulty of accessing our room. Not in a courtyard room as expected and shown in online photos but up a very difficult to navigate spiral staircase and through a lounge where a bridal party had evidently got ready and left everything everywhere including personal belongings & their Mc Donald’s leftovers and litter. Furniture moved & left everywhere and creating various trip hazards. We did ask for a different room or at least to have mess cleared up but ended up doing it ourselves.

• Kevin (2/5): Inept management. - The receptionist was friendly. That's it. The rooms were too hot. The drains stunk. The bed was uncomfortable. The management had no idea after their multiple mistakes, and then left the morning receptionist to deal with me.

Un endroit chaleureux qui rend les déplacements professionnels plus agréables. La porte donnant a l’extérieur ne fermait pas bien.

It was lovely to have a sitting room away from ones bedroom, a `pub`on site with reasonable charges. The restaurant charges were a bit expensive for my taste.
