The staff member we interacted with was pleasant and helpful. Cleanliness in the shared bathroom, two were modern whereas one needed upgraded. Mouldy bins and stains.

There were some young ladz (other guests in the room next door) who made quite a bit of noise all night but this was not the fault of the staff at the hotel. Overall, a great experience apart from the LADZ.

Aisha (1/5): Good but could be better. There should be better support for guest. - The location is great, close to landmark shops. The telephone number written in room note doesn’t work in the building. The internet connection was poor. The cleanliness of bed and bed sheet does not look clean. The walls, wardrobe, and fan were dusty. The toilet window doesn’t open,there is no steam extraction. The staff were not nice enough to allow us to keep luggage at reception for few hours to walk around the city even though we were willing to pay. Also, there is no clarity while booking to show it’s a shared toilet. The shared toilet doesn’t have gender separation, that’s uncalled for. That’s an hostel not hotel.

Colin (1/5): Worse hotel I've ever stayed in. - The bed. To noisy. With the floor boards squeaking Evey time someone comes in and out. You can hear other people in their rooms through the walls and people in and out all night. Would 100% not recommend this place.

Kit (1/5): A terrible experience. - We had a terrible experience that lasted only a couple of hours before we felt like we had no choice but to check out and find a different hotel. We were surprised with the room; it was lacking curtains and there were hairs left all the over bed and on the water bottles. The room next to us were having very loud sex and it sounded like it was different guests over the two hours that we bothered to stay for, leading us to suspect that they may be a sex worker. I am disappointed and left feeing deeply uncomfortable and unsafe. When this was raised with the company, we only received an apology that seemed to us to be written by AI.

Pauline (4/5): Friendly but information lost in translation and didn't appreciate other guests music and chatter - The restaurant downstairs is beautiful and the menu is excellent Signposting is poor. It's not clear where to enter to go to the hotel. You have to go to the restaurant and wait for someone to be free to book you in. There's no formal reception area. The staff member was very friendly but his English was not clear, so it was difficult to communicate clearly with him. The rooms have thin walls so it's possible to hear the guests music and conversation in neighbouring rooms. The blind in the room was broken, so people could see into the room from the busy street below. The room was not advertised as having a shared bathroom. I could have found an ensuite room close by for a similar price. Parking opposite the hotel overnight is free, but despite asking by email and in person, this information was not conveyed. Otherwise the room and shared bathroom was clean. The hotel is in a good location.

Marcia (10/5): A HIDDEN JEWEL IN NO - Everything! I was expecting the room to be disappointing but I couldn't believe the high standard. The complimentary tea, coffee, water by the bed was a nice touch. The fan was a God send in this weather. The window opened fully (usually they are covered over in paint) for fresh air & the blinds moved freely up & down without collapsing to the floor. There was also a clean towel on the bed in case you needed one. The bathroom was surprisingly clean considering it was shared. The close proximity to the bus/coach station & town centre is all within walkable distance. I could go on.....will book again. Suggestions - (1) May be a mini fridge in the room to keep drinks, etc bought from outside cool.(2) Not sure if 'no lift access' is mentioned on 'Bookings.com'.

Karen (7/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient - Check in was quick and straightforward. There is no reception desk or area so you ring the door bell and are checked in by the restaurant staff where you are provided a key card for the main entrance and your room door. When checking out you simply leave the key card in a post box on the door. The room was comfortable and clean although some parts were a little tired such as the chair. There were tea and coffee making facilities including snack bars and bottles of water, a TV, a fan and the WIFI worked well. I had a room with an en-suite bathroom which was clean with decent towels. Basic toiletries were also provided which was a nice touch for a budget hotel. The bed was comfy and even though some of the other hotel guests were very noisy overall I slept well. The hotel is in a convenient location close to the centre (15 minute walk) with a large supermarket a block away which was very handy. It is on a busy road but overnight it was surprisingly quiet especially as the room windows are not double glazed. The price was acceptable for an en-suite room especially given I booked very last minute. The details did say there was a hairdryer in the room although I couldn't find one. There was a bedside lamp but there didn't seem to be a plug socket nearby to plug it into.

Merely a shower and toilet roll share with males (being a single female I asked to be moved) the ensuite was fine, however the bathroom and bedroom had no curtains and bathroom no blind!! Leaving a nice shadow for all to see just off a very busy main road. I left at 3am as I didn't feel safe.
