• James (10/5): Top notch cottage in the quaintest village - The view and location were absolutely amazing. Excellent facilities. Everything we needed. Very cozy. That we didn’t stay longer.
• ANNAMARIA (8/5): - Posizione, cottage tutto per noi con tutto a disposizione, dal microonde alle spezie nella credenza! Se venisse ristrutturato sarebbe potenzialmente un gioiellino!
• LESECQ (5/5): Vétuste et manque de propreté - L'emplacement très pratique pour se rendre sur l'île de Skye en voiture, juste en face du château Eileen. À notre arrivée il y avait une serviette sale posée dans le salon. Des insectes étaient présents dans la cuisine et la salle de bain. Des toiles de poussière étaient présentes dans la cuisine près des armoires et l'intérieur de certaines armoires était sale. Nous avons entendu des bruits de rongeurs sur le toit au moment de nous coucher. La maison à besoin d'un bon rafraîchissement au niveau des peintures (murs, radiateurs) ainsi qu'un nettoyage en profondeur.

• Lisa (10/5): We had a lovely relaxing weekend a lovely evening walk round Dorian’s along the loch side, visited the stunning Eilean D - Cosy, clean and inviting cottage with a beautiful view of the castle from the front door.It was the perfect base to go exploring the area and the Dornie Hotel right next door for a lovely meal.

• Jodie (9/5): Incredibly equipped and awesome location! - Amazingly equipped, incredible bathroom and shower, location was perfect for exploring surrounding areas and Skye, though wished we had stayed more local and explored more there. Lovely touches throughout. Really great pub next door too which has amazing food!
• gaynor (8/5): Home from home in lovely Dornie - The cottage is next door to a pub that serves really nice food and you dont have to walk far from the door to see Elian Donan Castle. The cottage is well equipped and felt like a home from home. Large TV (hubby loved this) and a large very nice bathroom and a decent kitchen. It was clean and the bedrooms were decorated nicely with bright bedding. Plenty of wardrobe/drawer space. Dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer were bonuses. The only thing I didnt like, being an older lady is that the bathroom is downstairs so if you need to go to the toilet in the night, you have to go down and come back up the stairs. The woodwork needs a lick of paint and the stairwell needs painting too. It appears there is an attic/storage area up another small staircase but there was a bit of chipboard rested over that. I think if you had younger children it might unsettle them.
• Fabienne (8/5): - Die Wohnung war sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Das Schloss direkt vor der Haustür und die Nähe zur Isle of Skye war auch ein Plus. Wir haben sehr von der Landschaft und der Umgebung genossen. :-) Vielleicht wären ein paar Wassergläser mehr sinnvoll. Wir haben als Familie viel Wasser aus Weingläsern getrunken. :-) Aber das ist wirklich jammern auf hohem Niveau. ;-)
• Chiara (9/5): Soggiorno di una notte a Dornie - Soggiorno di una notte come tappa nel nostro tour scozzese. Posizione fantastica a due passi da Eilean Donan e a pochi minuti dal ponte per Skye. Personale gentile e disponibile nelle comunicazioni. la casa disponeva di tutti i comfort e necessità. Di fianco si trova un pub, The Clachan, dove abbiamo passato una splendida serata con ottimo cibo (non economico, ma in linea con il resto delle Highlands) e musica dal vivo.

• Michael (8/5): Könnte mit kleinen Änderungen viel besser sein - Gute Lage in der unmittelbaren Nähe von Eilean Donan Castle. Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus. Sehr geräumig, große Küche, moderne Dusche. Kein Duschgel und Schampoo - das einzige Mal von den 8 B&B und Apartments die wir auf unserer Schottland Reise hatten. Ebenso kein Zucker in der Küche. Dafür eine Menge halber Packungen an Linsen, Nudeln, Gewürzen - wahrscheinlich von früheren Gästen. Der alte Küchenschrank (mit den halben Lebensmitteln) war innen nicht sauber. Eine Klopapier-Rolle pro Übernachtung (bei 5 Personen).
• Ada (8/5): Casa spaziosa ma con qualche pecca - La casa è molto grande ed è fornita di tutto. Ha un grande bagno con una bella doccia spaziosa e si possono utilizzare anche la lavatrice e l'asciugatrice. Inoltre è vicinissima al castello di Eilean Donan il quale si può raggiungere a piedi. Quando siamo arrivati abbiano trovato sulla porta una folta ragnatela che non è stato un bel biglietto da visita. Alcuni spazi non erano pulitissimi e al piano di sotto c'era un cattivo odore. Infine, proprio a fianco della casa c'è un pub che è aperto fino alle 00.30, e si sente molto rumore.
• robert (4/5): it could and should have been better maintained. - Good location, good rooms and comfy beds. Quite a lot! first impression disappointing with rotten railings and a greasy BBQ dominating the porch. patio chairs were dirty and rusty and no table for us to eat outside. We arrived on a hot day. No windows open and beds not aired. Not as clean as it should have been. Damp dirty sugar in the tin and tea bag tin not cleaned. The impression was of a very basic clean from someone with no interest in the property. a cottage which had seen better days. Lots of quirky equipment and over a dozen knives but no carving knife and fork for the joint of venison and NO BOTTLE OPENER

• Jan (9/5): Truly excellent place to stay close to the Eilean Donan castle - This place is truly amazing and we loved our stay here. You're basically right next to the Eilean Donan castle (5min walk) and have several other places to visit near-by. The house is very comfortable and spacious, we wished we could have taken the kitchen and bath home with us :) The dish washer didn't work.

• James (9/5): Fabulous cottage in a great location - Great, comfortable cottage in an ideal location, just 5 minutes walk from Eilean Donan Castle. Nice pub right next door too. No shop in the village, so its difficult to get groceries if you've not got transport. Some nights, the patrons leaving the pub after closing time can be a bit rowdy and loud.

The view, the host, the location, the beds upstair, the kitchen, the price and the incredible bathroom The bed at the ground level (sofa, in the living room) is too soft and doesn't fit for adults, and even difficult to sleep in for children.
• Patricia (8/5): Would stay again, but come stocked with supplies. - No breakfast. Great location. Very clean and spacious. Good kitchen. Super bathroom, but downstairs. Double bed needed more blankets or additional duvet option. The stairs are winding and one needs to be careful using the bathroom at night. No good supermarket nearby on the main road from Edinburgh.

My only regret was that I didn't book longer! - Extremely convenient, beautiful, stunning, exceptional, clean, and most of all, perfect! We absolutely loved this cottage in every way! I journey to Dornie every year from the US, and hope to stay every year in this amazing cottage. Nothing, it was perfect!

• David (8/5): Relaxing family holiday in very pleasant homely accommodation. - Great location between the Clachan & Dornie Hotel. Very good shower & kitchen facilities. Heating controls easy to use & was needed as weather was unseasonably cold. Spacious bedrooms & comfortable beds. Large TV & decent wi-fi coverage. No complaints - very trivial but the exterior of the property looking a bit dated in terms of the decking & garden area / paving covered in weeds.

You can also take a short walk through town and under or across the road to visit Eilean Donan.

• Ronald (7/5): of Skye, Plockton and Eilean Donan Castle. - It was fun staying in the small village, the riverbank and proximity to the castle were great. It was nice to have an entire cottage to ourselves, a lot more space than a hotel room and wonderful to get some washing done! Parking was awkward. There were constantly other cars parked out front of the cottage, we were never able to get our car in there. One evening we came home around 8 pm and there was no parking anywhere in the entire village near the cottage. Having the bedrooms upstairs and bathroom downstairs was also tricky, when needing to spend a penny in the middle of night. The Netflix didn’t work, couldn’t access that. There was several red diffuses placed around the house that crowded overpowering perfume smell. We had to put them all in a cupboard because it made me sneeze and cough.

• Shawn (10/5): I didn't want to leave! - Spectacular location! Parked right in front for easy loading/unloading, cottage was lovely, and we wanted for nothing. This is our favorite place so far on this trip, and we would definitely come back! There is a fairly narrow spiral staircase up to the bedrooms, but it is carpeted. The very nice bathroom is on the ground floor.

• Sarah (8/5): It was a lovely week in a great place - wish we could have stayed longer - Location, size, close parking, the bath! It was well appointed and comfortable, well looked after, and there was a helpful folder about how to use appliances, etc. The bathroom is amazing! The only bathroom being downstairs was a bit weird, and the noise from the pub next door disturbed us on a couple of nights during our week’s stay, but we did often go to bed early.

• Kim (9/5): Dwarfed by nature and rested in comfort - The cottage was well equipped, comfortable and spacious. Dornie is a great base for walking in the area and visiting Skye. At the moment the lively pub next door doesn't serve food on a Monday or Tuesday but a Fish supper is available Monday evening from a mobile van. The Kintail Lodge is a good place for food. Perhaps a pint of milk but other than that everything was great.

However, the property owner did not communicate via HomeAway nor did she apply the check-out times of the HomeAway website. Very difficult to get in touch and only communication via e-mails that kept ending up in my spam filter. Somewhat confusing.

• Paul (10/5): - Eilean Donan View is a lovely spacious cottage with great views out over the Loch Alsh. The cottage is very homely and comfortable with everything that you could every need. It is a 2 minute walk to Eilean Donan castle which is a must see attraction when visiting the highlands, it also has a really nice pub next door which serves some really good food and drink. I really enjoyed my stay at the cottage and will definitely be going back again.
