Guest Reviews
- Stephen (10/5): - My wife and I had a great stay at the Oasis Bed and Breakfast. The owners were so friendly and accommodating — they really made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a nice, relaxing feel to it.
In the morning, they had a breakfast sandwich ready that was absolutely delicious. You can tell they put care into everything they do.
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again the next time we’re in the area.
- Geoff (8/5): - Room decor
- Christopher (10/5): - It felt very comfortable, cozy, great breakfast and Jeanne made us feel at home and like family. We can’t wait to stay there again! I highly recommend!
- Michael (10/5): - This is a wonderful place to stay. It is quaint, interesting, and enjoyable to visit. The room was well decorated in a country theme. There is a nice communal lounge with Coffee and room to hang out. We enjoyed a glass of wine on the wraparound porch upon arrival
- Darlene (10/5): We highly recommend - We found the Oasis to be very inviting. Upon arrival hou enter by way of a large, beautiful wrap around porch where we sat for hours just relaxing and visiting with other guests. Our room had a jacuzzi tub that I enjoyed while watching a movie. My husband relaxed in the comfortable bed. The room was clean, attractively decorated, and relaxing. Our breakfast was so delicious and filling. We will definitely return.
- JoAnn (10/5): - Made us feel like family! So nice!

Bed was really comfortable too..
- Michelle (10/5): - Dave and Jeanne are the best hosts you can imagine. Plus, Jeanne is a great chef! Oasis is an oasis!
- DAVID (10/5): - The property was lovely . We stayed in the ‘Germany room’ which was perfect. The room was tastefully decorated with numerous authentic knickknacks from Germany . The stay included a homemade breakfast which was delicious . The owner , Jeanne , greeted us upon our arrival and made us feel so welcome . If we are back in this area we will certainly stay here again .
- Kristina (10/5): - I would absolutely stay here again! Our hosts were warm and inviting. Everything on site surpassed my expectations including the breakfast that was provided. These hosts have thought of everything. We had such a wonderful stay!
- David (8/5): - The room was too full of collectables. There was no room for us to put our things down. All the flat surfaces were covered with their stuff.
Otherwise, the place was quite enjoyable and the owners were very nice and accommodating.
- Dana (10/5): - We had a wonderful experience. Jean and her husband are excellent hosts!
- Jodie (10/5): - This place is true to its name. We were taken away to another part of the world without getting on a boat or plane. We loved it so much we booked it again. It is a little slice of heaven. Thank you so much!!
- Susan (10/5): - A unique feature of this home were photos taken by the owners and artifacts picked up during their travels around the world.
The upstairs lounge area was great. The wraparound porch was charming and the food excellent. The rooms were very comfortable and we had everything we needed.
The hosts were gracious. This was a great place to stay.
- Glenn (10/5): - Fantastic!
Friendly!
Fun!
Amazing stay!
Don’t miss this getaway!!
- David H. (10/5): So fun and friendly - Cozy attic room that had everything, including lots of quiet. Breakfast was delicious. Can’t wait until next time.
- rjr0810 (8/5): Comfortable place with lovely proprietors - My time at the Oasis was comfortable due not just to the room (unique theme and comfortable bed), property (loved the tiger lilies) and food (tasty and unique breakfasts) but also because of the lovely owners (Dave and Jeanne). I do agree with a previous review that said that there was too much stuff but that is a nit and actually makes the place feel lived in (a good thing). Springville itself does not have much on offer so you will have to drive to whatever activities you want to do beyond relaxing at the inn.
Overall I highly recommend a stay here.
- Evelyn35NY (10/5): Absolutely fantastic stay - We stayed at the Oasis B&B last weekend for a getaway without kids/white water rafting adventure at Zoar Valley. Let me tell you...my husband and I have stayed at bed and breakfasts all over the world, and this one, just an hour from our home, was our favorite. Jeanne and Dave are the absolute perfect hosts. They really know how to make someone feel welcome. The inn is decorated beautifully and is so cozy. We stayed in the Africa room, which was just awesome. They provide free beer/wine, and it was great coming back from white water rafting, pouring a glass of wine, and getting in the hot tub in the back yard.
The breakfasts were INCREDIBLE. Jeanne really is a gourmet chef. The first morning, I devoured the first course, not realizing there was going to be an even larger second course, but it was so good I had to eat the entire thing. The next morning, our breakfast was just as delicious, with nothing the same from the previous morning.
We loved talking to Jeanne and Dave and had a great hour and a half-long conversation on Sunday morning. They are incredibly funny and interesting and have some amazing stories.
This B&B, off the beaten path in Springville, NY, is an absolute gem. Do yourself a favor and go there for a couple of days. You will be happy you did!
- kblb0725 (10/5): Fabulous Experience and Stay - I grew up in the area and was back in town to help my parents move. I've driven by many times but never visited. We chose the Oasis wanting more than just a bed to sleep on. We were pleasantly surprised at what was offered. We stayed in the Germany room, which was perfect for the two of us. The common area allowed us to watch Women's Fifa final while enjoying some complimentary snacks and a glass of wine. The common area also had coffee and tea for the next morning. Breakfast was served outside on the porch both days with a variety of items, such as the decadent Oasis bomb and started my day off on the right foot! Our hosts ~ I can't say enough about Jeanne and Dave ~ they were lovely, down to earth and a couple that we really enjoyed connecting with. They really go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Our only disappointment would be not having an excuse to stay there again, with having family in the area. We will however be stopping in to say hello next time. Thank you Jeanne and Dave, you both do an amazing job and your BnB shows your love for it!
- 298larrye (6/5): Disappointed! - The host are very friendly. UNIQUE but way to much stuff. The breakfast was good and varied.
They say if you want fresh towels to place yours on the floor. We came back late at night and there they were, still on the floor!
There is a Keurig coffee maker for guests on the second floor. I hope you like hazelnut as thats all they had for three days.
They say help yourself to the cookies under glass. There were no cookies.
There is carpet on the bathroom floor! How gross is that.
- Malerino (10/5): Perfect B&B - + Very nice host tried his best to make our stay relaxing and convenient. The breakfasts vary from day to day and contain of a sufficient amount of options. The apartment was large clean and cozy with good shower and large comfortable beds. The house is located in green quiet suburbs - perfect for a good nap.
- The place is located a bit far from the city - you might need to take a taxi to go anywhere. However, it has it's advantages (see above).
- Parme1 (10/5): Well done - Travelled here to pickup a puppy from a breeder that lived around the corner. First of all the place is beautiful. The owners were very welcoming. The room we had was very spacious(Mexico room)with the three of us,our daughter had the large futon in the living area and we had the king bedroom.
Very well appointed and decorated according to the country as all the rooms are. It had its own refrigerator and coffee maker.
Not to mention a gas log stove for some ambiance. It was also had A/C. Now the collection of vintage vinyl records were a surprise as well as the player to play them. Our 15 year old daughter had fun listening and finding all our favorite artists,
Police,Journey,Pink Floyd etc... Breakfast in the morning was great as well as the coffee. Jeanne and Dave are very accommodating even cooking something for our fussy daughter for breakfast. If we have the chance to come back and stay longer we would be here.
Awesome
- nahummeller (10/5): Excellent B&B at great price - Very unique place to visit, amazing rooms . The complimentary items were a really nice bonus , The food was excellent, amazing hosts, highly recommended. I look forward to another visit. Great price for a great place.
- 445beckyf (10/5): Outstanding! - The hosts went out of their way to help us with arranging accomidations. The rooms were warm and comfortable and the bed was to die for, it was so comfortable we would fall asleep almost the minute we laid down. The food was excellent, gormet and different every day of our 6 day stay. To say we enjoyed ourselves would be an understatement
They also went out of their way to give us help with dinning or where to find things. Never having been to New York before , they made our trip so much more enjoyable. Can't say
enough to recommend them!
- mjarbore (10/5): highly recommended - I never sleep super well, but the hosts, food, service and room were all outstanding! Very unique place to visit. This was my 2nd visit, and I look forward to another visit for my wife and I. The complimentary items were a really nice bonus also, along with the hot tub (in an outdoor gazebo) with robes, towels and slippers provided were fantastic.
- 174budg (10/5): Hostess with the most-est - We had a team of people working in Springville a few years back with 2 shifts a day. For several months in a row there was hot breakfast ready for each person working regardless of their shift. Jeanne and Dave went above and beyond our expectations in so many ways. They actually held birthday parties for 2 of our guys who had to work on their birthday. They treated us like family and every person on our team has nothing but fond memories.
- Misszaius (10/5): Cute quiet BnB - I loved my stay here. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and as someone who's had spine surgery that is super important to me. The themed rooms were cute- we stayed in the Germany one with all the steins. The hot tubs were a nice bonus and the covered deck really was lovely to have breakfast on every morning. Breakfast was amazing; something new and fresh every day. And we got tea and fresh pastries outside the door every morning for a wake up snack. I would love to stay here again, and try out more of the rooms.
- JAMAICAvisor (10/5): TRAVEL ABROAD IN YOUR ROOM! - Love the "themed" rooms. Breakfast was a delight with daily fresh fruit/juice and scones. Hosts were exceptionally accommodating. The "grand porch" serves as the summer breakfast dinning area and as a socializing area for guests. When visiting the Buffalo area, a great place to stay.
- mbroadhurst (10/5): A gem - I stayed at this B&B with my girlfriend this weekend, and we were charmed. From the warm reception of Roxanne, the owners' adorable dog, to the self-serve coffee, tea, wine and beer bar at the top of the stairs, to the outdoor hot tub, this place is just comfortable all around. There's a huge wraparound porch with lots of seating, and Jeanne (the proprietor) prepared us a delicious frittata with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus in the morning. We'll definitely want to stay there again next time we're in the Springville area.
- MKC1952 (10/5): One of the best B&Bs anywhere - If people knew how great it was to stay at The Oasis in little Springville, NY, I'm afraid we wouldn't be able to book a (geographically-themed) room there again ourselves ...
- CoxieGirl (10/5): Fabulous B&B - We just returned from a trip to Springville where we spent two nights at the Oasis B&B. What a treat! Our group had three rooms, which were all very clean, well-appointed and so interesting....not your average hotel fare, that's for sure. As for the rest of the place, there's a really lovely, huge wrap around porch with tables and chairs (owners encourage you to use these things), beautiful grounds, two 2-person hot tubs, yard activities and games, complementary snacks and drinks...they really thought of everything. And then the breakfasts: wow, fabulous, again, not your average fare. No question the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Thanks to the Ellis' for such a nice experience!
