The hostess was my favorite, from check-in to check-out. She was easy to talk with and made our stay that much better. If we ever travel down those ways again, we will definitely rebook with Central Park Motor Inn. N/A

There is limited choice of accommodation in town, which is why I ended up selecting this motel Bed was on the soft side, and as only a thin mattress protector, the electric blanket wires made it somewhat uncomfortable.

- Sean (2/5): Bad experience - Bath and comfortable bed, but not the peeling wallpaper and dated bathroom. Bad experience at restaurant. Ordered meal at 6.20pm before the only 2 other tables, one with 3 and a table for one. At 7.20 the other tables were served and I asked where was ours and the waitress said ours took longer because our food took the longest to cook...we had ordered chicken skewers and pan fried fish an hour before. I said we were going and she said OK I will cancel your order so it hadn't even been started !! I informed the manager who said they had been very busy 🤷♀️ and did not even offer an apology, worst experience ever and we never leave bad reviews

After finding out we were travelling with a dog, we were allocated a unit that best suited having a dog with us. The water from the tap but nothing the motel can do about that.

My number 1 place to stay in Taumarunui now - Check in was a breeze, reception was so friendly, welcoming and easy to have a convo with. The room was perfect, spacious, warm and VERY CLEAN. I’ve stayed in 5 star hotels that’s aren’t as clean as this place. Didn’t appreciate the intoxicated ones next door coming back at 1am shouting and laughing like nobody else was around. The bed was very soft I almost fell off. Still no complaints though. Ild prefer that over a rock solid bed. Can’t please everybody

- Nicoala (6/5): - I would like to see an updated site, that show options for which room you are booking, many of the rooms have same price but the advertised room, varies from what is lead to believe is what you're paying for. Actual Pics of all the rooms is essential for me. I travel for visits there and would like my $400+ to be of accommodating to my young babies despite it only being booked for 2 travellers, my children are not staying but bookings need to be specific @ this price. Otherwise overall I prefer this MotorInn over (if it were an option on their part) staying with family as I am from Taumarunui.

( rm 12 ) these rooms were in front of the motel which was very noisy from trucks going past through out the night. don't book these. The rooms not facing the main road are more inviting and clean
