Anna (1/5): - Who are those people who leave positive reviews about this place??? I am beyond disappointed with my stay. The most shocking part was at checkout: the staff asked for my phone under the guise of showing me a discount, but instead, they used my device to post a positive review on my behalf without my permission. They tried to "sell" me on a Genius discount I already possessed as a way to distract from what they were doing on my phone. This is a total breach of privacy. Beyond the deceptive management, the property itself is very poorly maintained: The bathroom was rusty, the shower was in horrible condition, and the walls and outlets were visibly dirty. It’s clear no deep cleaning is happening here. The air conditioning was so loud it was impossible to sleep without earplugs. It sounded like industrial machinery. There was someone else's hair inside the toilet when I checked in.

Shahar (1/5): Avoid at all costs! Total discrepancy between photos and reality - Location ! Stay dates: May 8–10, 2026 I traveled with a friend for a two-day trip to Hong Kong, and we booked two separate "Deluxe Single Rooms" at David Lounge. It was a terrible experience from the moment we arrived. False Advertising regarding Room Size: The room was advertised as 13 sqm, but in reality, it was barely 6 sqm. When I saw the receptionist's computer, it even showed photos of rooms that looked smaller than what we received, which was shocking. Substandard Bedding: The clerk acted as if she was "doing us a favor" by providing a double mattress, despite it being our original booking. The mattress itself was only 5–7 cm thick. Functional Failures: The sink faucet was broken and did not work at all. There was no soap, only one roll of toilet paper, and the safe shown in the photos was nowhere to be found. Poor Housekeeping: We were given two small hand-sized towels. On the second day, they only replaced it with one single towel, ignoring the fact that the room was booked for a guest. Tech Issues: One room had a TV without a remote, and the other had a remote with no batteries. Check-out Discrepancy: While Booking.com listed the check-out time as 23:00, the staff demanded we vacate by 12:00 PM. It’s lucky we checked, or we would have been stranded. The Elevator Nightmare: The building (which houses about 9 different "hotels" on the same floor) has only 2 elevators. They are extremely small; the weight alarm goes off after just 3 people enter. We had to wait about 20 minutes every single time we wanted to go up or down. David Lounge is highly misleading. The photos do not represent the actual conditions. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this place to anyone.

Bernalou (5/5): Our stay was okay we just wished the room was a bit bigger enough for our bags and would match their description online. - It is near train stations, bus stations and near lots of the establishments. The room we booked was the deluxe family room. Based on the pictures they uploaded the room did not look the same. It was smaller, we couldn’t even fit our suitcase on the floor and there was no space to move around. The hot shower wasn’t working either. We reported it about 3 times, they said they would fix it but they didn’t. We asked if we could change rooms but they said they were full. The staff was polite but i wish they placed us in the same room we booked online. Their description of the room did not match what they gave us.

Stuart (8/5): Good budget accommodation for central HK. - The location is perfect because you’re central to everything & close to the MTR. The double room was small, but had everything you needed for a comfortable stay, including a/c & a hot powerful shower! They also provide free toilet toiletries & drinking water refills which was a bonus. Sometimes you had to wait a long time for the elevator up to the 16th floor & the entrance to the building tend to get rather busy with people trying to sell you all sorts.

Said it was for 3 people but room was hardly big enough for 1 person Half the room facilities that were listed were actually shared facilities or not available at all . Elevator to building was a shared elevator and often had queues. Mattresses were thin foam Tiniest private bathroom- to shower you had to sit on the toilet. Toilet seat and toilet paper wet all the time due to shower head leaking plus water heater wasnt working so i had cold showers every day, even after reporting it. Комната прямо в сердце Гонконга, около станции автобуса, я ночью села и доехала за 50 мин в аэропорт. Было все отлично для одного транзитного дня: личная комната, горячий душ, холодильник, микроволновка, чайник, кондиционер и вентилятор. И пишут в отзывах, что арендодатель вытягивает положительные отзывы, но так делают все, а здесь они правда стараются помочь, чем и заслуживают этот отзыв. Jerry (1/5): Total SCAM! DO NOT STAY HERE! - Nothing. It's a total scam. Classic bait and switch!! Do NOT listen to the other positive reviews. They are fake reviews. The description and pictures are completely fake and false. They will tell you that these lies are not their fault. They told me that Booking.com made the mistake of these false pictures and description. The rooms are absolutely disgusting. The shower pressure is non-existent. The toilet doesn't flush sometimes. The elevator isn't just slow. It doesn't work properly and is always crowded. You can see this problem from other reviewers. The whole building is just full of scammers and hustlers trying to sell you things. Solo females should definitely avoid this place. David Lounge doesn't actually exist. They try to fool you by using different names. They will make you pay extra tax fee when you check-in and make you pay a 100 hong kong dollars in cash. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!

Maar zijn hiertoe niet in staat door gebrek aan mogelijkheden Drie nachten met een kapotte lekkende herrie makende airco heel slecht geslapen . Hierna kregen we een andere kamer een aantal etages lager in het gebouw . De kamers worden verhuurd , ook de kamers met gebreken , en dan begint het hele verhaal voor de volgende reiziger opnieuw . Keer op keer . Dit is ook te lezen in de recensies. Wij als gezin met vijf hadden de David lounge geboekt , deze bestaat niet . Het zijn allemaal verkapte bedrijfjes . Maakt op zich niet uit , alleen wij hadden een kamer voor 5 nachten voor5 personen geboekt bij booking.com. Deze zijn ook op de hoogte , maar blijven de accomodaties gewoon onder dezelfde voorwaarden aanbieden . Voor een overnachting prima , niet langer
Jakub (7/5): - Świetna lokalizacja, niska cena, miły i pomocny personel. Pokoje są małe, ale wystarczające. Byłem dwa razy w tym hotelu. W jednym z pokoi nie działała klimatyzacja, był za to wiatrak. Nie było tragicznie, ale jednak była to pewna niedogodność. W innym klimatyzacja działała bardzo dobrze.

Izzy (2/5): Very poor - I wouldn’t recommend this for a solo traveller especially as a female, the location itself is great but the location is dodgy, walking into a money laundering centre full of Indians trying to sell you drugs women food and rooms. Was really hard to find the hotel itself and you can be waiting 20 mins at times to get up into the lift. The rooms are cleaned daily and the beds are comfy, charging outlets hit or miss if they work and water pressure is pathetic as of the WiFi, you get what you pay for. The staff are okay, not very specific with there recommendations or advice and the lady took my phone to leave a 10/10 review of my behalf. A lot a lot of complaints were to be had by other travellers here in my stay, overall it was fine if your travelling and don’t mind abit of chaos. But a very low fine

Chloe (10/5): Exceptional - Small but mighty place, amazing price for Hong Kong and totally comfortable. Yes, there was a short wait for the elevators sometimes… but this is HK! It was no big deal and what we expected for such a busy city. Could have provided a better blanket to the rooms rather than just a sheet.

Ana (1/5): DON'T DO THIS - NOTHING First of all, the David Lounge does not exist. There are several hotels under one ownership, and you'll be assigned a random room. When we arrived (after check-in time), they told us our room wasn't ready, and then sent us to a different hotel with no private bathroom and a smaller room. The building is old, has has 16 or 17 floors, and the elevator is small and very slow. You may spend hours in the elevator queue in the evening. If you take the stairs, be prepared for a dreadful experience - unsanitary conditions and a bad smell. And DON'T BOOK HOTELS WITH SAME ADDRESS AS DAVID LOUNGE. They are all the same, maybe - worse.

eduardo (2/5): Fake hotel....os HOSTEL - They tricked me into thinking it was a hotel, but it was actually a hostel. The photo shows a window, but the room doesn't have any windows. The shower is on top of the toilet, so you can barely move and it's cold... the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my life.

May (3/5): Poor - We need to queue for the lift for around 5-10 minutes, depending on the time of day. The lift is small and there are too many passengers. This is the first time we've experienced such an issue. Unbelievable.
