Guest Reviews
- Richard (10/5): - It was a relaxing one
- maria (4/5): - It was a last minute booking and we could not book with the sands hotel. We were disappointed that there were no towels provided, no soap in the bathroom. It was not a very comfortable stay. For the price we paid , it was not worth it. You have to pay the resort fees upon arrival. The room was rusty , it was run down and not well maintained. It is Ironic that when they do a sales pitch for the new block of flats they are building , they will say they have a team to maintain your unit. No other choice but to eat here as there are no nearby restaurants. Rent a towel in the pool area for P80 a day to be returned by 10pm. Basically, I will never return here again! I regret wasting my money here!
- Evelyn (4/5): - I like around the area but the condo itself needs updating, water seems unsafe to use as it yellowish and feel unclean to use in the shower. We stayed 2nights and one night we came back with insects having a marathon. Kettle is tripping so cannot boil water to use.. pillow case was clean but pillow foam was dirty.
But we are mostly out and enjoyed the outdoors
- mary elaine (10/5): - Very nice
- Brian (2/5): - Terrible! If I could give it zero stars I would have. Very poor customer service. After only 2 days I was sorry that I booked for 2 weeks. No laundry facilities at all. 2 restaurants with limited selection, over priced and not very good food. Noisy, right across from construction site. Internet and power outages. Small beach. Charged extra for everything even a ride to and from the front gate from our room. Bed mattress looked like they butchered a small animal on it and did not change our room or mattress. I would add the picture of it but I am being family friendly here. Outside the facility there were very limited selections if you want to cook your own meals or shop. The water coming out of the taps had a foul smell. They never offered to clean the room, we had to call them. Don’t even bother asking them to shorten your trip even if you’re willing to pay a penalty. They will charge you full price no matter how compromising you’re willing to be.
- Divino (8/5): - This place had cool facilities, but they're due for a facelift. On the bright side, the staff was ridiculously friendly, their customer service was top-notch, the food was crazy delicious, and the shuttle service was always on the money.
- Angeli Joy (10/5): - My family and i had a great stay.
- Emmanuel (8/5): - Great place to stay. facilities are easily accessible. There is a shuttle which is very frequent until 10pm. The beach is walkable distance as well as the country club with the infinity pool. The host has been in touch promptly and provided necessary information about the stay and what is provided for and what is available in the resort. Contact details provided and the place has a receptionist who has been very helpful during our stay and very friendly and approachable
- Richard (10/5): A Family Time - It was a short tour with the family
- Richard (10/5): A Day with the Family - It was a family thing
- Helena (8/5): - Very nice surroundings and wonderful orivate beach and ckean water
Good restaurants abd clean apartment. Good spirts facilities. I liked it 👍
- Randy (10/5): Wedding stay - Enjoyed my stay here! Thank you!!
- David (6/5): - It's just a average place. The private beach is nothing to be WOW 'ed over, 6pm they close it.. The free beach is a WHOLE lot better. Overall I'd not do it again.
- Walter (10/5): - Pico Loro is an excellent Hotel with efficient helpful staff. We stayed at the Pico Country club and it was Lovely.
- Angel (6/5): - Amenities like their pools are excellent.very relaxing place. Room for 8 is just a studio type. Room is clean except that there’s small pests in the kitchen.
- Richard (10/5): - It was a refreshing area fir a needed vacation
- Richard (10/5): - It was a quiet place for the whole family to enjoy
- Alfredo (10/5): Unwinding of the week - Attendants are kind and accommodating.
- Rizza (10/5): - My Family had a great time in this property.
- Konstantinos (2/5): - we arrived at 6 in the afternoon and waited at the gate for 1 hour for them to find the reservations, then to our surprise we found ourselves in an rbnb room (no one informed us about it) locked, we waited 1 hour for them to contact the representative and unlock the door .I asked to meet the manager but he never showed up. At 8.30 in the evening they sent me an e-mail that my room is 303A and rules that I had to accept as well as that they didn't offer towels and toiletries. (I think I should have been informed before for these and not after I paid)Also from your side you forwarded an e-mail that more or less threatened me that if I don't accept what they are giving me I will be sanctioned. I had the room booked for two days and I left at one. I would like you, Expedia, to apologize on the matter and also to take steps to remedy the injustices that have caused me and my family trouble
- Estrella Mabaet (6/5): - Check-in was very difficult and took a long time.
- Brian (10/5): - Excellent!!!
- felicidad (2/5): A terrible stay in Pico de Loro - The condo unit was clean but water was not sufficient in the bathroom. There was no wifi which was devastating considering that I did not have local phone. We relied so much on internet use to communicate with family. TV was made available after a day of complaining. These are the reasons why we checked out early. Food was expensive and not good, esp the breakfast.
- Lourdes (8/5): - I think the Guest Entrance fee per person is too much for the few available amenities in the Resort. The condominium is nice but the bed linens smelled bad.
- Mylene (2/5): - What a nightmare! I booked a condo-hotel last minute for a group of 8 and paid a good amount of money for it, only to be charged again for a separate entrance fee which was quite a lot! The unit did not have any towels, not even soap and shampoo! The internet provided was the prepaid-type and it sucked! The elevator was broken. The place needs work and there is a fee for any amenity that you want to use. I highly DO NOT recommend this place!
- Bebelyn (10/5): - The pool is great. The condo is affordable. Members and staff are approachable. Really good place for vacation.
- Lili Ann (10/5): - The beach and the pool foods ate excellent too i will comeback again next vacation and this time more days 😂
- Pascal (4/5): Poor - Additional cost of 1300PHP per person.
No wifi in the room.
Local food.
- Mary Prell (8/5): Beach break - On the while we had a great four day break it was only the pathetic “security” at the Coral Beach Club that drove us crazy.
Our landlord had to endorse every visit before we could order food or drink.
- Fely (6/5): - The property
was good and the whole place was very good as well.
The only thing was, we meet the contact person at the lobby for us to pay the entrance fee but we didn't get any receipt at all.
Then we need to pay a deposit and tax which I noticed the receipt was not even an official one.
I would suggest to ask the customer in the main reception to pay everything in their rather than installment. Thank you
- Kevin (4/5): Don’t waste your time or Pesos - Check in took well over 1 hr! Staff did not see to care. Also had a group of 14, with hidden fees of $285, for resort fees!?!? Room was sufficiently allocated, however had a bad ant problem. Staff was immediately made aware of it,but once again...no service to be had at this resort! Another good deal was, we not allowed to use a lot of the resort facilities with our color of wrist band??? I must say the bed was comfortable. But I highly do not recommend this property.
- Cely (10/5): Relaxing Stay - Enjoyable and Relaxing Experience
- Roger (2/5): Absolute rubbish - Totally misleading advertisement. The room is old and tatty, No stove top cooking facility (as advertised) no storage space, one wardrobe being locked, one being full. The daily cleaning serivice that was advertised, was not available, and left myself nd my partner with one damp hand towel between us. The advetised fees are for accommodation only and do not include use of the recreational fascilities, pool access, beach towels etc which are all charged extra. The Hotel and apartments are not administered by the same organisation. Pico De Loro will not and did not assist in attempting to resolve any of the issues, and simply refer to the building owner, who was equally unhelpful. This led to the unfortunate decision to forfeit the booking fee for two nights, and check out early to find alternate accommodate.
Definitely not recommended. Absolute rubbish.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The condo is so filthy and smells terrible. Most of the furnitures are broken. The door to the balcony won’t lock. The towels they provided looks dirty. No hot water in the shower.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Full enjoyment are for members only, non members will just expend too much but are prohibited with to a lot of things
- Gerly Anne (10/5): - Perfect for family getaways or large group of people/friends
- Venicia (8/5): Fun and amazing - We're having so much fun.
- Disappointed:( (6/5): - Did not have wifi and a balcony. It was posted that there was wifi and balcony in expedia. Since the rental price of the property is very high, my expectation was very high.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - no cable channels, only local channels
no wifi in the room
- Lucci (10/5): - The property has a wide variety of activities which caters all ages. The sceneries were splendid, especially the man-made lake. The landscaping is well-done. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
- ShineKiss (6/5): - i think they need to improve the rooms and cleanliness of the rooms...but overall we all enjoy the facilities (beach & swimming pools) ...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location
- Riza (2/5): Don’t do IT, book the Hotel instead. - Dirty toilet, smelly bathroom (didn’t clean well, you can smell the urine on the floor), dirty sheets (you can tell, they just sprayed the sheets to smell like it was changed!), No TOWELS, or tissue! Terrible terrible. Just book the hotel instead. Also, had to pay $25 per person.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The condo unit was clean and cozy, and we had a fun and relaxing stay.
- PIA (8/5): - We liked that it had a very functional small kitchen so were able to cook our breakfast and eat at the balcony. The AC was good, wifi, and cable. There was a nice rack in the balcony for drying clothes.
The bathroom was clean but maybe a ventillator can be placed so that molds don't build up. Also some of the tile grouting are gone and housing molds.
- Verified traveler (6/5): self service accommodation - All services are self service.
- Justine (4/5): - When we arrived, I was so embarrassed when they asked for additional 800 pesos per person for the pool and beach daw. Samantalang before kami dumating cinonfirm ko kung dun sa binayaran naming 4,099 na room ay included nba yung pool and beach, sabi nila oo. Tapos pagdating dun siningil kami nung Ernie Tuazon. Then meron pa, siningil din kami ng 350 para sa cleaning fee ng room. Nakakaloka!! Dito lang ako nakakita ng may fee pa ang paglinis. Yung place is so relaxing and super ganda. Sana next time upon booking isama nyo na yung sinisingil nyo dun na 800 and 350 para hndi na nagugulat yung guest nyo. Tapos wala pa kayong bnigay na receipt. Kaloka!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Property assigned (Miranda 409) was maintained poor, lack of cleanliness, poor quality bed spreads, wet blankets, no toiletries (no soap, no toilet tissue paper etc), no towels. After repeated request they have changed our accommodation next day to Carola 303, which is satisfactory.
Accommodation is not worth of price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Greater together - Amazing and great way to spend your vacation with family
- Joselina (10/5): expensive - from the start of booking June is under lean season which is 1,200 pesos each ang kids is 400 pesos! when booked already i was about to pay peak season fee which is the rate of December, adult fee is 1300 pesos and kids is 500 pesos ! then for me not having a local celphone they just email me. which i cannot received while travelling because i have no wifi! it is very hard to connect to the caretaker!
the member itself makes money they said you add 200 pesos each to use the beachclub facility! thinking we cannot used it for 1 week just that day because we have to comeback to manila
it is so strict while charging you many unexpected fees!
