- pieterdotbe (4/5): Avoid if you can. Nice building but no (really no) service - This is the only 5-star hotel in the area. I’ve been here several times before. In the beginning, you could overlook the low level of service — you have to give people a chance to learn. But now, a few years later… Some examples: at check-in you get your key and that’s it. Find your room yourself. Hotel information? Absent. Information about breakfast, the spa, etc.? Not mentioned. There is a WhatsApp AI app that always replies “it will be passed on and housekeeping will help you,” but nothing actually happens. The spa is “so well” maintained that all the soap dispensers have been squeezed completely empty. When going for breakfast, please check if they’re still serving eggs. Just because they let you in doesn’t mean the kitchen will still be willing to fry one. Also check if there’s soap before you shower. Ordering coffee at breakfast easily takes 10 minutes. You get the feeling that all staff are friendly but very inexperienced student workers. And when you arrive: the reception is at the back on the right — in case, like many others, you can’t find it. The people at the door only help guests with short skirts; otherwise, they just talk to each other. This hotel is best compared to a TV show where people have to manage a 5-star hotel for the first time. Lots of good intentions. Lots of “sorry.” But honestly, it’s just painful. Book something cheaper nearby and spend the money you save outside the hotel.

Room was cleaned on Sunday at 4pm there is no door to the toilet which is not good at all. Only 1 towel per Person in the bathroom and no Soap. - E4379XRroberts (4/5): Not Even Remotely a 5-Star Hotel in Terms of Service - We stayed at this hotel for more than a week at a special, heavily-discounted group rate. Still, the value simply was not there. Physically the hotel, at least arguably, deserves its supposed 5-star status. It’s modern, attractive and generally clean. Unfortunately, that’s where the good news ends. In terms of service, the place doesn’t measure up even to 3-star standards. While there are a few staffers there who would like to take proper care of their hotel guests, they are clearly poorly managed, overworked, overstressed and they have no systems in place to make sure that problems get solved. If you ask the employees why problems never seem to get solved, some of them will tell you about this in detail, sotto voce. For example, we checked into a room where the air conditioning was flat-out not working. The following morning we reported the problem and were promised that the problem would be fixed by the time we returned to the hotel in the evening. When we arrived back the problem was not fixed, no attempt to fix it had been made (“We were too busy today”) and were told that no other rooms were available so we would have to accept an extremely hot room (close to 80 degrees Fahrenheit) until the following day. The second day we were again promised that the repair would be made but, once again, nothing happened. When we returned to the hotel we were simply told that the system was working properly, contrary to what I was telling them. Only when I insisted that an employee physically come to the room to see that the room was hotter than a Finnish sauna and the A/C didn’t blow any air at all did they acknowledge the problem. Still, they claimed that there were no other rooms available that night and we would, once again, for the third night in a row, have to try to sleep in an extremely hot room. When I suggested that perhaps some kind of discount or other compensation might be in order under these circumstances, I was told, in so many words, that I would be ice skating in Hades before management would agree to anything like that. The best I could get is an agreement to put us in a different room the following day. This promise they finally honored. However, not checking the invoice carefully at checkout time sometimes has its consequences. The new room, though on the surface identical to the old one, apparently was in a different price category, and we discovered later that we were charged quite a bit more for the new room than for the old one. It would have been polite, not to mention ethical, for the hotel to mention this at the time rather than wait for us to notice it (or not) on the final invoice. This is not the kind of thing one expects from a so-called 5-star hotel. Incidentally, the 45 euro/day parking fee is ridiculous. There is free parking across the street between the hotel and the casino. The breakfast is not terrible but definitely not 5-star level, either. I could go on, but you probably get the idea: If you value service and value-for-money, stay far away…

- Jana (8/5): - Sehr schönes Hotel. Wir lieben das Ambient im La Reserve Im Restaurant La Rigue kann man hervorragend essen aber der Service war beim letzten Besuch nicht gut. Obwohl wir erst Ostermontag angereist sind, wo der meiste Trubel vorbei und das Restaurant am Ostermontagabend relativ leer war , lies der Service sehr zu wünschen übrig. Da stimmt Preis /Leistung leider nicht .Schön war der Tag auf der Terrasse mit DJ.Sehr lobenswert zu erwähnen der Service und die Freundlichkeit von Estefania ,die uns meist an Bar bedient. Für uns dort bis her die netteste Servicekraft . !

- Dr-Z89 (8/5): Clearly one of the top hotels in Belgium. Recommend a visit. Be very wary of the dangerous steps to the pool. - Super location with great views on the pond. Beautifully redone with luxury touches. Excellent restaurant with a marvelous grand room. Ok fitness room, somewhat small for a new luxury hotel. Nice and big rooms with plenty of amenities. Excellent service. Steps t from sauna to pool had no banister and were super slippery, I had a bad fall and mentioned it to the spa attendants. They were aware and it really surprised me they continued to operate it that way without a warning sign and at least some anti slip materials or cover. That was a very big negative for me which would warrant a zero but I didn’t want to give that kind of rating for a hotel that is clearly aiming to be of at least a Four Seasons/ St Regis standard.

- alexandre (6/5): Un expérience mitigée dans un hôtel sublime - D'habitude quand on réserve via hotels.com, notre statut GOLD nous permet d'avoir un petit cadeau de bienvenue ou un surclassement. Mais pas cette fois-ci. Pas de cadeau, ni de message mais on a plutôt été downgradé à notre arrivée. En effet, la chambre 513 se trouve sous le sauna du spa et la chaleur produite est tellement importante que la climatisation de l'hôtel (un peu ancienne) ne pouvait pas refroidir la chambre. Je comprends qu'il ne fasse pas toujours très chaud à Knokke mais c'est justement pour fuir la canicule que nous avons voyagé en Belgique: à la recherche de fraicheur. Nous avons signalé le problème et la direction de l'hôtel a trouvé une solution (3 heures plus tard) et nous a relogé dans une chambre où la climatisation fonctionnait. Apparemment le problème était connu. Dommage qu'on nous ai alloué cette chambre 513 en été. Le reste du séjour s'est bien passé. L'hôtel est superbe et la piscine couverte sur le rooftop est magnifique!

The hotel we chose is ideally situated in the heart of the town, just a short stroll from the beach and right next to the bustling casino. From the moment you pull up to the entrance, you can sense the hotel's exclusivity and luxury. The sight of sleek, high-end cars parked out front and the constant flash of paparazzi cameras capturing every detail adds to the air of sophistication. This hotel is known for its "car paparazzi," a unique feature where photographers with digital cameras gather to snap pictures of all the exotic vehicles that arrive. It's quite a spectacle and definitely adds an element of glamour to the experience. If you're fortunate enough to get a room with a view of the lake, you're in for a treat. The lake view is stunning, with a beautiful fountain in the center that adds to the serene ambiance. Unfortunately, when we booked our stay, the hotel was fully occupied, and the only room available was the handicap-accessible room. However, this turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Due to an issue with the air conditioning in our initial room, we were upgraded to a larger suite. The upgrade was a delightful surprise. The suite was incredibly spacious, offering a much more comfortable stay. The view from our new room was magnificent, overlooking the tranquil pond and featuring a lovely balcony where we could relax and take in the scenery. The added space and enhanced view truly elevated our experience. The hotel's amenities are top-notch. The spa is well-equipped with a soothing steam room and a relaxing sauna, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The pool area is equally impressive, offering a spacious and inviting setting with a picturesque view of the pond. It's an ideal spot to relax and soak up the peaceful surroundings. Dining at the hotel's restaurant was another highlight. The food was exceptional, with a variety of delicious options to choose from. Adding to the dining experience was a live singer who entertained guests, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The breakfast, which was included with our stay, was also very good, offering a wide range of choices to start the day off right. Overall, our stay at this hotel in Knokke-Heist was an excellent experience. The facility is superb, combining luxury, comfort, and outstanding service. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Knokke-Heist. It truly made our trip memorable and enjoyable.

The hotel, recently renovated, should be considered without a doubt 5*. Exceptional decoration, very high quality standards in all aspects, even with our little dog traveling with us You can not miss the great atmosphere at the hotel bar, specially with live music every Friday night The staff were really polite and professional. We will definitively come back whenever we will be close to Knokke

- Daniel (4/5): Improvement necessary - We stayed from the 28.07- 30.07.2022 in La Reserve and are happy to share our thoughts and feedback with the team and also via Google Maps. The hotel is located opposite of the famous grand Casino Knokke on the elizabethlaan close to the Albertstrand. It’s easy to find and the entrance to the underground parking spot is well signposted. Unfortunately we’ve not been informed nor any information about parking fees (which are 28€/d) posted or addressed. This is something we would like to know upfront. Entering the hotel we’ve been welcomed by the receptionist. The checkin was easy and quick. The room (#207) itself had no daylight which creates a gloomy atmosphere. Would be nice to get the Information beforehand. Nothing stated nor pictured on the booking website. After we spotted a bunch of hairs from previous guests in the bathroom, shower and on the heater which we felt disgusted by, the manager on duty gave another room which was clean and nice. The breakfast fee is 35€/p.p which is not a good-price quality ratio what they serve. For instance, the whole English breakfast was cold and not of a quality what you expect from those higher class hotels. Their are much nicer small breakfast places around the corner with are spraying a wonderful Charme e.g. de Kaasfee. The breakfast location inside and outside are nice but it’s very difficult to manoeuvre each other through the narrow aisle with a breakfast plate in your hand. The wellness area with a pool, steam bath, a Sau….

Les rideaux ne sont pas occultants donc réveil à 5 h du matin. Les chambres dans l’ensemble devraient être rafraîchies. Les abords de la piscine et du sauna ne sont pas soignés , les serviettes traînent parterre le sol est mouillé …. Prix exorbitant du petit-déjeuner

Fahrräder konnte man anscheinend auch nicht leihen, obwohl das so angekündigt war und auch in der Hotel Brochüre gelistet ist.

- STEFAAN (10/5): La Réserve - Un hôtel magnifique, du personnel aimable. Dommage que pas de fenêtres donnant à l'extérieure, on avait vue sur la réception. Aussi très difficile de bien gérer la climatisation dans la chambre, il faisait très sec.
- PascalK1973 (8/5): More a business hotel then a holiday hotel - Although the hotel is situated in a tourist hotspot, it actually is a business hotel. The rooms are small but convenient. Our rooms were very clean, in a nice modern style and sound prove. We only used the restaurant for breakfast. The breakfast had a variety of choices, everything was fresh and eggs were made to order. One remark: rush-hour at breakfast: the staff and kitchen could not keep up which lead to a shortage in plates, glasses, juices, wait time to be seated and slow service at the table. Conclusion: in my opinion a little overpriced but a nice business hotel at the seaside of Belgium.
- Ann (4/5): - Bruine plekken op de badjassen, volgens mij niet gestofzuigd, plastieken asbak op het terras, bij de bediening in de lounge bleven lege glazen staan asbak werd niet geledigd.......... En dit alles voor 500 euro voor 1 nachtje.Ben echt wel verschoten. Sorry maar minder dure hotels heb je wel een super service en propere degelijke kamers.

- Patrick (10/5): Belle expérience - Très bel hôtel moderne, bien situé, tous les services d’un établissement haut de gamme. Personnel très professionnel et restaurateur très bien tenu avec une carte courte mais efficace. Petit déjeuner très variés et riche en diversité.
- martinage (6/5): Week-end à la réserve - Hôtel très beau très propre, petit bémol pas de salle de sport bien qu’il est renseigné infrastructures sportives , mais il ne parle que de la piscine. Les chambres cours intérieur sont belles mais très triste aucune vue sur l’extérieur ,impossible d’ouvrir une fenêtre on a l’impression d’être dans une boîte, Très sombre, et à ce prix là…

- Linh (8/5): Comfortable stay. - The hotel decorations is minimum, but the facilities are comfortable. Good swimming pool. Location is quite close to the beach. The view is so-so though.
