Guest Reviews
- Graeme (10/5): Great value for money in a comfortable, warm and friendly environment - Clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to Main Street. It was frosty weather and the nurses home was lovely and warm throughout. Kitchen well equipped. Shared bathrooms spotlessly clean. Nothing
- Guest (9/5): -
- Pia (8/5): Nostalgic and sweet place - Beatiful old house, great and friendly staff, very large family room! Good supporting services (laundry) Facilities were a bit dated and bed a bit ”bouncy” but all in all a nice place
- Lynne (10/5): Always a great stop over, but next time we’ll stay a few days and explore the local bike trails. - Clean, warm and welcoming
- Vanessa (10/5): - Everything was fantastic. Very comfy and quiet. Going back to the car the next morning, we saw two Weka..an incredible sight. The tree across the road has some history and the plaque gave insight into the history. Highly recommended N/a
- Cath (10/5): Superb - Convenient, great staff, great value
- Charmayne (7/5): -
- Stacey (10/5): - Beautiful old building
- Nick (8/5): - The cleanliness of the place. And the location. The staff were superb.

- Cinda (4/5): We enjoyed it apart from the bits I've listed. We would most likely stay here again. - Nice roomy area, quiet and clean. Cosy and warm, good serene decor for a nice relaxing stay. The office lady on Sunday eve was so helpful and cheerful, made us feel so welcome. It was hard to do dishes with no dish brush provided.
To be honest the bed was too small for a couple.😆
No flannels or shower gel or shampoo provided which we thought is normal now for places to provide.
In the morning before book out cutoff and while we still using the facilities someone walked in, no knock first then no apology or anything before she walked out. Possibly staff...
- Martin (8/5): Always. Good. Looks like the miners are giving them good business. - Hospitality. Clean. Quiet. Accommodating Big kitchen off limits.
- June (Karrie) (7/5): - Queen room in our wing was small, single bed rooms were bigger, I’d have chosen that in preference with prior knowledge. Very comfy though.
- Glenn (10/5): -
- Andrea (5/5): - Location, the idea of the re-use of an old building its an old building, and so its a bit run down, if money was spent on a refurb could be very special, but more like a back packers we thought. Kitchens were pretty tired as were bathrooms, and sharing I would have a mop or floor squidgy
- Laurence (8/5): - Extremely clean. Staff friendly. The shared bathroom was opposite the kitchen which doesn’t have a door on it. People using the kitchen on a night when I was going to the bathroom made me feel vulnerable.
- Stacey (10/5): Best stay in Reefton - Great facilities, clean, chill, beautiful garden.
Loved lying on the manicured lawn. Couldn't book all the days i wanted because its just so popular.
- Karen (10/5): -

- Sharon (10/5): - Loved the history of the building. Was like stepping back into my student nurse training days. Very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff very friendly and helpful. So pleased we came across this property. Nothing to dislike.

- Tony (8/5): -
- Lorraine (8/5): - Clean tidy rooms. Kitchen to prepare food. Shared bathroom but that was ok. Lounge area. TV books to read. Nothing really.
- Carroll (10/5): A great place to stay and very central. Only about 5 - 10 min walk into the CBD. - Facilities all clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed so no trouble sleeping. Other occupants very mindful of keeping noise to a minimum at night. Would stay here again.
- R (9/5): Great place to stay. - It was a cool old building, had facilities to cook, and was super central in Reefton. The fridge in the nearby kitchen did make a really loud sound overnight, but not enough to hinder our sleep.

- Sarah (7/5): Functional and close to town centre. - Nice enough but did feel a bit institutional - not that surprising considering its history! It would probably be better for a large group as the common area is quite large.
- Neil (10/5): Very special place with it's history. Exceptional service from Michelle the manager - The manager, Michelle, was outstanding. Could not have been more helpful or informative

- Karen (9/5): Superb - Staff were really friendly. Happy to chat with us and give recommendations of where to eat. We didn't dine at the accommodation but did hang out in the lounge and played a board game late into the night. No one else was around at all so had the place to ourselves. Bedroom was small but all we needed. Few spiderwebs in the room with daddy long leg spiders hanging out.
- Ray (8/5): the beautiful redwood tree - the setting, the town, the beautiful redwood tree outside, all the staff basic room
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Good location in walking distance to the center of town for bars meals and café dining. Clean comfortable and relaxed accommodation. Just a heads up to bring your own soaps and shampoos. The showers and bathrooms are well maintained but do not include soaps like hotel/ motel accommodation
- Trevor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (8/5): Great place at a reasonable price - Great location. Excellent surrounds
- Cathy (9/5): Lovely old building. Nostalgic for some of us. - Lovely use for an old building. Bedrooms are spacious enough and the bed was comfortable. Lots of hot water. Great garden and outside seating area. If you don't want to cook then can recommend the Brassano pizza place and the Steptoe coffee can sort you out for breakfast. Kitchen was a little small and cutlery a bit random.
- Dave (7/5): very good - ery happy with my 2 night stay. Will be back next year. an ensuite room
- Kerry (6/5): Pleasant -
- Janette (10/5): Will stay again - Great value for money comfy and clean with beautiful view of garden Couldn’t get news on tv. Would have liked instructions to get in to live tv

- Graham (8/5): Very good -
- Chris (10/5): We were pleasantly surprised and delighted with our stay. Will definitely recommend to others. - The place was spotless, nicely laid out and the kitchen well equipped……a pasta sieve would have been useful and I to prefer gas hob to electric.
The shower was a little odd with a small slatted window people could peep through……needs a curtain.
Some people seemed to have food prepared for them but I couldn’t understand how that worked!! See above……shower window was odd!!
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- J (8/5): Stayed before and will stay here again, definitely recommend. - Very clean, comfortable, handy to town, excellent value for money. Good to have such a well equipped clean kitchen available. Beds very comfortable.
- Spooner (8/5): good for what we wanted - ? TV channels didnt work. TV was fine. I believe it was a wifi or aerial reception issue
- Walter (9/5): Superb -
- Kaye (8/5): Very good - Good staff; lovely grounds, spacious apartment
