Yannick (6/5): Good location but thats all - Everything was average. Location is very good, very central. Room quiet big, but cheap flooring, cheap matress, extremely small tv there was mold in shower of room 6, no lift. I was a bit disappointed.
Caroline (10/5): - I like breakfast in the dining room. I have stayed many times, and each room is different. The rooms are gorgeous, with unique furniture and wallpaper. The cathedral is just down the street. The staff are really pleasant and helpful.
patrick (8/5): - Its an older style hotel so the steps creak a lot everyone can hear you move but its okay nothiing bad about it. I like the the area mostly its near the cathedral. The owner went out out of his way after hours to help dispiste me not being good at speaking French. I would stay here again

Lynne (8/5): - We were disappointed the Hotel was unmanned when we arrived early morning meaning we had to lug our luggage around until 5pm over cobbled streets, in the heat of the day, as there was nowhere to store our luggage. However, the Hotel was comfortable despite no air-conditioning. The Hotel is in a convenient location for walking to the Notre Dame Cathedral, eateries and old town by the river. Breakfast was basic but gave us a good start to the day. Initially there was a language barrier as the service team do not speak English but we overcame this by using sign language and kept communication short and precise. Stairs are narrow and steep because the Hotel is very old. It could do with a little maintenance. We didn't let this ruin our stay.

Jane (8/5): - The area is actually somewhat noisy at night with cars and young people on the streets. Wifi was erratic, and hotel room walls are very thin. Otherwise it’s a well kept and well run small hotel with friendly staff. Very clean!

Cet hôtel est très bien situé dans la ville d'Amiens et l'accés aux chambres y est facilité par un digicode qui permet d'y accéder aux heures que l'on souhaite (grande flexibilité de l'accés) ce qui étaoit très important pour moi. L'accueil était parfait ainsi que la chambre et la propreté. Je recommande cet hôtel.

Personnels sympathiques et aux petits soins. Petit-déjeuner (deux formules) copieux. Demander le côté cour si risque d'être gêné par le bruit normal de la ville.

Maurits (2/5): Voortijdig vertrek - Op 18 mei ingecheckt bij hotel Victor Hugo, begane grond maakte een rommelige indruk, receptionist was niet behulpzaam niettegenstaande de vermelding op Hotels.com en gaf alleen de sleutel van de kamer. Zelf de koffers naar 3e etage gedragen ( kamer 8 ) via een smalle trap en zeer smalle gang. Kamer klein en samen met sanitair erg beperkt, wel schoon. Ons inziens was er sprake van een zeer gevaarlijke situatie als er in het oude pand brand zou uitbreken daar de smalle toegangsgang de enige mogelijkheid was om te ontsnappen. Aan de receptionist om een andere kamer gevraagd ev. tegen bijbetaling. Dat was niet mogelijk en daarom zijn wij ondanks dat we al betaald hadden binnen een kwartier na aankomst weer uit het hotel vertrokken en hebben een ander hotel in de buurt gezocht. Wij vinden de lovende recensies die op Hotel.com staan onbegrijpelijk; het interieur van het hotel maakte een rommelige en versleten indruk, de receptionist was nauwelijks behulpzaam, de situatie naar ons idee brandgevaarlijk. Wij raden een verblijf in dit hotel af, in de nabije omgeving hebben wij een in alle opzichten beter hotel gevonden voor ongeveer dezelfde prijs waar wij een prima nacht hebben doorgebracht.

Marie-Noëlle (8/5): Satisfaite du Victor Hugo - Petit hôtel très bien situé au centre ville, proche du beau quartier St Leu avec de très bons restaurants, des bars, de la Cathédrale, des hortillonnages etc etc. depuis cet hôtel tout se fait à pieds. La chambre était propre ainsi que la salle de douche avec WC Escalier un peu vieillot, il y a 3 étages sans ascenseur, il faut juste le savoir. Il vient d'être rénové, donc bien.
Sheryl L (10/5): Good choice for hotel in Amiens - I spent two nights in November. Location of this hotel is good. I walked from the rail station and walked to all the sights I wanted to see including the magnificent Amiens Cathedral, so location was very convenient. No lift but the kind efficient young man at reception carried my bags. The room was big, window opening onto the street. Area quiet, safe. Breakfast was good. Reasonable price for my stay No complaint. I found it a good choice.
Julie (8/5): Adequate place - This is an older hotel but is adequate. There was no one at reception and we could not get in so we had to make an international call. The gentleman answered and provided the door code so we could enter. We stayed in room #10 which is right by the front door and under the stairs so we could hear everyone traipsing up/down the stairs and entering/leaving the building. The bed was older with a v in the middle but it was okay. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from a lively night scene and down the street from the cathedral.

This is a charming little place. A bit outdated, but all you need when staying the night in Amiens. Close to town for restaurants.
