There were four us us here for a week and we were out of toilet paper and dishwasher pods by the second full day. We came in on a Monday and we're out of both by Wednesday.

- kathleenmN8581DT (10/5): Perfect April Vacay - My husband and I enjoyed a four night stay at the cottages at the beginning of April. We were welcomed the moment we walked in and given information about the area which included attractions and restaurants. The cottage was adorable. It had a small kitchen, sitting area with a tv, bedroom with a tv, and a large shower. It was the perfect amount of space for the two of us. The best part was enjoying coffee on the deck by the water. Surprisingly we were able to use the heated pool on one of the warmer days! Towels were provided at the pool. There is also a small beach you can sit on and look out at the water. When leaving we made sure the few dishes we used were cleaned and put away. - heathermO989BF (10/5): Perfect Experience - This was our second time staying here and it's such a gem of a place. Cottages are extremely clean and spacious with all the amenities you could need. Front desk employees are so kind and helpful (my boyfriend forgot something in our room and employee Sandy was nice enough to call us and help us get it back). The location is so pretty, quiet, and within walking distance of so many cute shops and just a short drive from the beach. I can't say enough good things about staying here. We’ll be coming back!

- Holeton (10/5): - The view of the bay and causeway were great and the sunset view was beautiful. Great Location..Can basically walk or ride a bike anywhere you wanna go. The staff was very friendly and talkative. The only downside is the cottages are squeezed in and everything is so close together. I visited on the off season so it wasn't so busy, and also parking might get a little tight.

- richardfrommd2021 (10/5): Great winter getaway at Key West Cottages - We just completed a getaway weekend. From the cleanliness of the unit to the friendliness of the staff, our stay was fantastic! We loved the fact we could share a unit with our friends, where we each had a private bedroom and full bathroom. Strong selling point for us! The location was perfect and walkable to many places. Music was piped throughout the property...sweet touch. The pool is beautiful and we were told it is heated and available from April through November. Would like to return to enjoy the 'summer' amenities! Highly recommend.

- Trail46182276480 (4/5): Big disappointment - Definitely not worth what we paid. The pool was nice, but the rooms were extremely small. When I booked on the phone, I was told that I could choose the exact cottage I wanted. I even checked a few days prior to make sure we got the one I asked for. When we arrived, I was told that they don't take specific reservations and you just get what you get. She told me that the other woman on the phone didn't know what she was talking about. We ended up in a tiny cottage with no view. I was really upset and will never go back. There are other nice places on the island with more amenities and better rates.
- LeMieux-Ruibal (5/5): Disappointing overall—overpriced, uncomfortable, and not as advertised. - - The location of Key West Cottages is unbeatable - The cottages are beautiful - The property is nice to walk around - Host offered a free late checkout past the set 10am (a nice gesture, though 10am is quite early by most hotel standards). Too expensive: $300 for 2 nights in the dead of winter feels unjustified. Too demanding: despite premium pricing, guests are expected to wash their own dishes and take out the trash. That’s hostel-level effort at hotel-level rates. Too uncomfortable: beds are extremely hard, and the pillows are flimsy. Basic sleep comfort is not there. Too misleading: advertised as “waterfront with water views,” but the cottage sits on a small canal facing a hotel parking lot. Not quite false advertising... but close.

- dera (10/5): Relaxing - The staff is wonderful. The cottage was clean and we all fit. My only concern was the bathtub was a little high for me to climb in and out. I am 71 years old. I've had knee issues and there was nothing to hang on to when getting in and out of the bathtub.

- VIRGINIA (10/5): FANTASTIC!!! - Everyone at the resort was fabulous! Office staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Cleaning and maintenance crews also very friendly and happy to answer questions, or help. We had a poolside cottage and loved it! Grounds were beautiful, and close enough to walk to many places in town. The cottages were perfect in every way, we'll be back in the Fall!!

- 87bryant (10/5): Amazing - I can’t say enough about this place. I honestly felt like I was in Key West. The cottages were so quaint and beautifully decorated. I can’t wait to go back in summer to check out the pool and beach area. They look like they’ll be perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. Their Christmas decor in the lobby was gorgeous, as well. We arrived a few hours early and were extremely grateful to be permitted to check in early. Check in was simple and the staff was super friendly!

- 283oliviae (10/5): Cozy & perfect year-round - We booked one of the Palm Cottages for a short "mini-moon" following our wedding. It was the perfect choice to relax & unwind and still get that beach-y vibe in October. We were lucky enough to have a unit on the very end so we had a fantastic view of the water on pretty much all sides. Wagons were available to easily bring your belongings to the unit. Bikes were available & complimentary to take for 2-hours at a time to explore the island. The staff were very nice & helpful. Both check-in & check-out were a breeze. All of the places we wanted to visit or try out were no more than 10-minutes or less away. We definitely plan to go back in the future!
- Harry (10/5): We have been in Washington DC visiting our daughter and thought we would take a few days ago South, - We didn’t make it for breakfast, but we did enjoy sitting on the little porch having a cup of coffee in the morning and looking out over the water. We did that again later at night after dinner with a glass of wine at the beach with the fire pit. We’ll be doing it again next year when we come back down through that area. Nothing… I think it’s a great little set up

- EastcoastSisters (10/5): This is a mini resort! Charming!! - Two couples shared a charming waterfront cottage at Key West. The attention to detail of the grounds and cottages was top rate. Special treat was watching Monarch butterflies sucking nectar from lantana plants from our porch chairs. Nestled on the water close to the Chincoteague bridge, key West was easy to find, within walking distance to several restaurants and picture perfect. Cottage and grounds were immaculate. Staff very friendly and helpful. Mini kitchen nicely equipped. We were in an accessible cottage which was close to parking and provided a ramp to cottage door.

- oceanbocian2 (10/5): Our new favorite resort! - We couldn’t have asked for a nicer resort! When our plans changed and we had to stay local, we decided to try Chincoteague Island. These cottages were the PERFECT compromise between feeling like you’re in the Florida Keys, while being on a bay in Virginia! They are absolutely adorable, beyond clean and well kept, quiet, and just incredible! The staff was helpful and friendly, and the vibes were fantastic! We enjoyed the gorgeous pool, the wonderful fire pits on the private beach, and just relaxing on our balcony. It was the perfect location for our babymoon, and we can’t wait to come back next year with our little one! :)
- Shawn (7/5): Won’t be back. - Views were beautiful. Whoever cleans the cottages does not do a good job. There was a bug squished in the fridge. Floors were dirty. Baseboards were never cleaned. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and pink bacteria all over the shower floor. The dressers smelled like cigarette smoke as well as the cabinets with dishes. The couch and pillows were covered in hair. The table had food all over it as well.

- S2230JWjoanneg (10/5): A little slice of heaven - As a past homeowner in Chincoteague we were hesitant to go back and use a rental until we saw Key West Cottages and we were not disappointed ! It was an oasis in the middle of a charming town! From the beautifully decorated cottages, gorgeous views, well managed pool and friendly staff our stay was a 10/10 and my husband and I cannot wait to go back again!
- Missy (10/5): - The cottages are adorable and comfortable. Great view. The staff was great, helpful, friendly. We had a wonderful time and will go back and recommend to friends. The only downside is that you cannot park at any of the cottages, so you have to park at main lobby and get a cart to tow all your stuff to your place. for anyone with a disability or walking issues, that could be problematic unless they will provide assistance, and I think that might be possible. Maneuvering the cart along the deck walk by water was a bit tricky, lol.
