- Anne (10/5): - What a fabulous experience, Marta and Iker were great host of their lovely guesthouse in a peaceful part of town. The grounds and rooms were wonderful. We were treated to a tea in their gardens upon arrival, a nice touch. We opted to stay in for a home made dinner and we are glad we did, one of the best meals and experience of our vacation. Breakfast was great. Marta and Iker were the best! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Hospitality plus!! - Lovingly styled, quality products from the bedding to bathroom amenities and delightful communal spaces both inside and outside. The hosts are absolute gems and the delicious continental breakfast with home made jams, eggs also cooked to your liking just topped off an A Grade stay. Nothing. We loved our stay and only wish we had stayed longer

The location is absolutely beautiful in between the hills, the house itself is stunning and well taken care of. Everything is spotless clean and the hospitality offered by Iker and Martha was sublime. The food they made was amazing and they even helped me arrange a surprise gift for my partner.

The house itself has been beautifully renovated, and the rooms are decorated with great care, maintaining the old style yet offering all the modern conveniences. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh rolls, homemade jam, and lemonade. A place to return to!

- Richard (10/5): - Marta and Ikar were the most perfect and accommodating hosts for this historic and scenic B&B hotel. As owner/operators they made sure we were comfortable and catered too. Local jams and honey and and extra personal touches made this stay worthwhile. Slightly remote but close enough for a 15 minute drive into Tondela. We would definitely stay here again.

Em torno, há bastante atividades a fazer: praias fluviais, vistas, trilhos e museu etc. A cama é muito confortável (não é de molas -adoramos isso). O pequeno almoço é muito bem servido (obrigada Marta pela gentileza de nos servir a limonada sem açúcar..rsrs). Além dos anfitriões, há 2 cães muito amigáveis no alojamento. The place is so nice we asked to stay longer, it is calm, has a lot of shade for hot days and things to do around. Absolute gem, best place we stayed during our 2 week trip in Portugal.

A grand old, but modernized, home, Marta and Iker have created a welcoming, pleasant and restful place to explore and rejuvenate while on a tour of Portugal. Whether hiking mountain trails or just reading a book and listening to your playlist, this is the place. Breakfast is great. As an extra special item Iker is a chef and cooks up exquisite dinners. There are some good restaurants in the area too. This is a place where you can see and experience the real Portugal. Didn't dislike anything!

Marta und Iker sind freundlich und zuvorkommend, man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und will gar nicht mehr gehen. Das Haus ist perfekt renoviert und dekoriert und könnte glatt für einen Schöner-Wohnen-Artikel posieren. Jedes Detail scheint mühelos perfekt zu passen und auch unser Zimmer war liebevoll ausgestattet - das Bad war großzügig und modern - alles war einwandfrei in Schuss und tadellos sauber. Zur Begrüßung gab es Kaffee und Kuchen im großen Garten, das Frühstück wurde im Wohn-Essbereich serviert - frisch gepresster Orangensaft, hausgemachte Marmeladen, Semmeln, Rührei, Wurst und Käse - einfach nur lecker. Nur schade, dass wir nicht länger bleiben konnten ...

The garden was very well maintained and loads of cozy seating areas are created all across, our favourite being the hammocks. It was always nice to be joined by the dogs Dexter and Dylan.

Everything inside and outside the house is impeccably clean and well managed. We enjoyed the calmness of the garden and the privacy and peace that this place provides. The breakfast is really good, big variety and Marta's pastry is just so good. And like a cherry on top of the cake, we've had a dinner made by Ikar. It was a great experience, absolutely delicious. Casa do Cabeço is a unique place. Everything was perfect. If I could give 11 out of 10, I would.

- Blythe (10/5): Magical - Iker and Marta welcomed us into their B&B and truly made us feel at home. They are kind and generous and provide an incomparable experience. So much so you feel welcomed as if you were family. Their property is truly a once in a lifetime experience. It was secluded and quiet and truly felt like an oasis in the country. The step gardens provide private enclaves where you can relax and enjoy the Portuguese countryside. The home is very well decorated and the beds and pillows are some of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Added bonus were Dylan and Dexter, the Irish and Scottish Setters, respectively, who snuggle up to you as if you were family. Nothing, we loved it so much we shortened our stay in Porto to spend more time here.

The room was very spacious and wonderfully designed, the breakfast amazing, and we stayed an extra night partly to enjoy a home cooked meal, made by the London trained chef and one of our hosts, Iker. Marta, did her share with homemade jams and delicious baked goods. Give yourself a gift and stay in this home. They seemed like good friends after our all-too-short two night stay.

Breakfast each morning was a delicious collection of fresh breads, handmade jams, local cheeses, fresh fruits, Greek yogurt, and an excellent ppt of French press coffee.
