Philip (10/5): A very comfortable stay with excellent food. - A lovely hotel in a beautiful village. The room was large, very well prepared with a lovely ensuite bathroom. The food was a high point of the stay, exceptional in its quality and inventiveness- a very good menu. The staff were friendly and very professional and I highly recommend the New Inn. No problems, nothing to dislike.

James (8/5): Beautifully comfortable bed and room - Bed, beautiful. Room size, fabulous. Decor & vibe of hotel, very nice. Tap was faulty but reported so sure it will be fixed. Room was cold as all radiators turned off but soon warmed up once we realised. Continental breakfast could have more choice such as croissants, pan au chocolate etc

Isabella (8/5): Friendly staff, cosy room and pretty location! - Lovely staff and big car park. Our room was in an outhouse so wasn’t loud. The bathroom was a bit run down and the water too ages to heat up. The continental breakfast could’ve been better as it was a big effortless, but the cooked breakfast was fantastic.

No restaurant on Mondays, which wasn’t made clear when advertised, and being in the middle of nowhere, it was a horrible concept to struggle with. However, I got a food delivery, but Booking.Com should have let me know, as I wouldn’t have booked this establishment, knowing it had no food.

Struggled to sleep as it reverberates through the room. No one around at all in the morning to check out. No light in the room apart from ones next to the bed. Makes for an interesting trip across the room when coming back in at night 😁

Dave (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Arrived at a wonderful building. Plenty of car parking space in 2 areas. The friendly staff went over and above during our one night stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was a sensible size with all the usual trimmings: a TV, clean bathroom, tea and coffee facilities, plug sockets, a comfy bed, soaps and towels. We ordered the cooked breakfast and it was hot and tasty. There was a large area in our room where the floor made a lot of creaking noises when stepped on. We could also hear that the room next door had the same issue. A loud humming fan noise from below our room started and stopped throughout the night. These are not complaints or criticisms - they are observations. This place is an old building and I'm sure it will have been altered and extended many times over the years. I have no complaints and I'm more than happy to recommend this hotel..

The language was disgustingly bad. I started life on a building site and it was worse than that. Nothing was done to correct them even when the staff were present. Drunken brain dead people!

Claire (8/5): Great little place to stay, lovely, albeit small Village, very friendly people and would recommend. - Great Limber is a very small village, but had The New Inn and Village Shop as well as lots of lovely country side on your door step. We went there for a specific reason as we were having dog training in nearby Keelby. Keelby is a bigger village / town (but we did not visit, so cannot comment). We did drive out from Great Limber to another couple of villages to have a walk around, which was lovely. The staff were very accommodating and even cooked a couple of sausages for our dog to have whilst we had dinner in the bar area. The human food was excellent and the breakfast was plentiful and worth having to set you up for the day. The locals we met in the bar were extremely welcoming and friendly, including their lovely dogs. All in all, a lovely place to stay. Check the opening hours, especially out of season, it didn't bother us too much, but if you are expecting the bar to be open in the afternoons, it may not be. Nothing to do with the property at all, but it was the first time in a hotel room for our pooch and she struggled to settle.

Dinner was better first time around. - Did not have the breakfast as there was a suppliment (totally understandable) and we wanted to go to the venue a few miles away with the stunning view. My burger and bacon was over cooked. Wifes macaroni and cheese was OK.
Darren (9/5): well worth as stay, great food comfy beds - Had evening meal night of my stay and few beers in the pub, and eggs benedict for breakfast in the morning. both cookded really well and service was great. no issues. room i stayed in , was in the main building, think was the Lewisham! maybe. very nice spacious and comfortable bed, was on teh road side to be honest so little traffic and you didn't notice any noise. very big bathroom with bath only thing wrong that needs improving if you just want a shower, would be to have an attachment on the wall to hold the shower head , and a screen so you don't flood the floor. water was very hot so took so small adjustments to get right. would be great if you just wanted a bath.
Sarah (6/5): Over-priced and underwhelming - I wanted so much to be impressed with this place as I have been in for a drink from time to time and was looking forward to staying overnight, however, I'm afraid I was disappointed. Very much a case of 'over-priced and underwhelming'. The food was poor. I paid almost £20 for a cremated yorkshire pudding, a splash of watery gravy, three slices of shoe-leather beef and some reheated chips, all of which were barely warm. The following morning I spent £12 on a full English, which was pleasant enough and brought to my room, but didn't come with any tea or coffee and was no better than I could make at home. The accommodation was 'fine' but not clean enough for me. I had selected a disabled access room as I believed I would get larger room but was housed on the first floor (good job I don't have any restrictions) in the separate block away from the main Inn. The bin hadn't been emptied from the previous guest's stay and there was debris under the bed. There were clean towels etc. but the tiles in the shower were cracked and dirty and some of the blinds didn't work. The water from the tap was that hot that I couldn't use it and the shower was very difficult to operate. There were hairs in the corner of the bathroom and on the soap dispenser. None of these things were bad enough to cause me to complain there and then, but for the price I paid, I expected more. Definitely not a four star stay. Oh and I didn't get my lie in as someone had been sent to cut the grass right outside my room at 09.00. Might all sound petty but I expected a lot more for the cost of everything. In total spent £204 in less than 48 hours and came away less than impressed. Could be so much better. Cleanliness and quality of food

Fab evening meal in cosy booth, nice breakfast next day in bar. Plenty of free parking. Can't think of anything I didn't like!

Sasha (1/5): Bad - Very Disappointed with this hotel if I’m being honest, we checked in at around 18.30, put our bags in the room shown to us by a lady. Then had a table booked, I had the chicken which was very bland and didn’t taste of anything. My wife had flatbread and chips which again was very tasteless. The dessert was the nicest which was doughnut balls. We later returned back to our room at 21.30 to find out none of the plug sockets was working so I went to reception to tell them this so she followed me to come and check for herself to see they wasn’t working so she said that she’s going to phone the owner to see what it could be. It got to 22.30 we still heard nothing so we had just been waiting in our room with no TV or phones as they was flat.. (you can imagine it wasn’t a nice experience) it got to 23.00 so I went back to reception to ask what was going on the lady said ‘I’m not sure I think it’s a fuse’ then said we can move you to a different room if they don’t work but still didn’t move us when there was just us and another couple staying in the hotel so around 10 rooms available. It got to 23.45 and they started working with no apology or anything. We should have not had to keep chasing this matter which was very unfair, they just wasn’t bothered about sorting the matter and if I’m being honest I don’t think they would of treated us like that if we was a man and woman but it was because we are two young women it felt like we didn’t matter when we are paying customers.
