Guest Reviews
- Jacqueline (10/5): Perfect for our requirements. Lynne is a fabulous host . Thank you. - What a fabulous destination. The Somerton room for 3 nights was perfect for us. The garden is amazing as is the house. What a perfect host Lynne was. Breakfast was amazing. We had an amazing stay if you want a luxurious B&B We loved almost everything. The shower could have been more powerful, however we were happy overall.
- Roger (8/5): Fascinating and comfortable place to stay - Not the widest choice of food for breakfast but we ordered it the night before and it was very pleasant.
Four poster bed was excellent. Staff were delightful as was the 96 year old owner who we had a chat with. he has a fascinating story to tell. perhaps a wider choice of food for breakfast but that's being picky!
- Robyn (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very friendly, the room was spacious with a lovely view of the garden & well set up. Easy parking & a delicious breakfast made by Heidi.
The property was also within easy walking distance of the town & restaurants. There were no problems.
- Anonymous (10/5): Comfortable friendly staff and will be returning soon. - Breakfast was well cooked and plenty of choice.
Bed and room very comfortable .
The staff and owner were very friendly. Nothing that I can think of .
- Andrew (10/5): A memorable weekend in an idyllic setting. - The location was delightful, a beautiful house set in a mature and well tended garden.
The rooms were of a very good size, delightfully decorated and with extremely comfortable beds.
Breakfast was first rate and served in most attractive conservatory. There was nothing that could be improved.

- Sarah-jane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Colin (9/5): Superb - Lynch country house is in a beautiful location and a short walk to Somerton. There are lots of pubs and restaurants in walking distance. The breakfast was very tasty and the staff and owner very friendly. There were some cobwebs in our en suite and some dust on the furniture.
- David (10/5): We are heading back at our first opportunity - Wonderful staff; lovely room and spectacular grounds. Just beautiful and restful. Nothing.
- Anonymous (10/5): A historic house not to be missed which offered unbelievable value - The house was beautiful and in lovely gardens. The location was right in the heart of the historic market town of Somerset in a very quiet location. The staff were excellent, very informative of the house and general location. Nothing
- Sheena (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful and a feeling of a bygone age but with modern advantages.
The village is very close and well worth a visit. The only thing I didn't like was having such a short time there.

- Sheena (10/5): As a single traveller I was made to feel very welcome and comfortable. - The house is beautiful, grand but with a homely family feel and somehow an air of past gentility, I only wish I had found it sooner on my numerous trips to Devon and Cornwall. I just wished I had booked a longer stay.
- Andrew (10/5): Quite simply, a delight! - The house is in a quiet location and surrounded with a beautiful garden.
The interior of the house is quintessentially English and is comfortably and tastefully furnished. Perhaps a wider breakfast menu - more vegetarian options, wider selection of yogurts, and marmalade.
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional - Delicious breakfast. Very comfortable stay. Quiet & peaceful.
- Alice (9/5): A very enjoyable and satisfying stay. - Everything - the room, the amenities, breakfast, friendly owner and staff. We have stayed there before and have returned to it during this trip as well and will do so again if future trips brig that way.

- Jane (10/5): Idyllic. - We each drove 3+ hours to reach Somerton, but once there we didn't drive until we left. We were made extremely welcome by our hosts. Fabulous garden, great food, extremely comfortable beds, and a five minute stroll to the centre of the town.

Would be happy to stay here again; I also imagine that in the summer the grounds are brilliant for having a drink ooutside Some of the decor was a bit old school but it's a matter of personal taste, did not affect stay and experience whatsoever

I loved the gorgeous house set in beautiful grounds and wish I had more time to explore. I loved the comfy bed and the big bathroom with fluffy towels. The breakfast was absolutely superb and Lynn the housekeeper was absolutely lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she helped me out with a wardrobe malfunction which had me in a panic! :D I also had a very interesting chat with the owner over breakfast The only thing that would have been helpful would have been an iron in the room but it was explained in the file and Lynn helped me out anyway.
- Frank (9/5): Perfect, will definitely stay again. - Clean, comfortable, superb breakfast, Lynne was very friendly and helpful as was Heidi who served our breakfast, wished we could have stayed longer as I’m sure Roy the owner, would have had many more stories to share over breakfast.
