Guest Reviews
- david (9/5): Great spot to stay when in Cotopaxi area. Friendly helpful staff and views to die for - Easy to locate, property was beautifully laid out with stunning views of Cotopaxi & other volcanoes. Steam room & sauna available after a long days hiking as well as massage. Rooms were comfortable & quiet. Meals were delicious Nada
- Sumit (8/5): Perfect environment to relax! - Excellent location in the country side, with the view of volcanos. The property also has a sauna, a Vapor room and jacuzzi! Perfect for relaxing after climbing in Ecuador.
- Ana (10/5): Lovely place and staff. - The location, friendly staff and food The room I stayed in was pretty simple, but ok. The other bigger rooms looked really nice.
- Javier (10/5): Excelente para desconectarse y descansar - Paz y tranquilidad
- Mia (8/5): Great stay! - Beautiful property with friendly staff, huge serves of food and comfortable and large bedrooms. Very clean bathrooms. Unfortunately the pool/hot tub wasn’t able to be used but the staff went out of their way to turn the saunas on for us instead.
- Fabiana (10/5): -
- Pedro (7/5): OK Visit at A Fair Price - Fair price. Simple but good breakfast. Property is dated with few amenities. Had to be moved from rooms because the toilet did not flush on the first even after checked by maintenance.
- Diego (10/5): -
- Rojas Gonzalez (9/5): -
- Javier Alejandro F (10/5): -
- Gillian (10/5): - Shower excellent, clean, rural location with awesome view of volcanoes . Staff very friendly and helpful. Heater in room very much needed
- Bree (6/5): Pleasant - It was clean, decent food and very nice staff. It’s in the middle of nowhere and there is nothing near by that is walkable.
- Paula (10/5): Nice stay near Cotopaxi - The room was beautiful, breakfast was nice, location was ideal for our trip to Cotopaxi and staff was excellent!
- Phillips (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amanda (9/5): All went well - Breakfast was good, its a Farm in the country so all spacious áreas, firepit, ping pong table and billar table, we just stayed for one night so didnt get to really enjoy the place, but also saw they have a jacuzzi área. soccer field, parking in general confortable
- Lea (9/5): Comfy stay with beautiful view - Nice staff and very good food. Well mantained common area with jacuzzi. Common living room with a wood-fired oven - very cozy. Only lukewarm water in the shower.
- Cameron (7/5): Comfortable, scenic stay - The views from the property are stunning. The grounds are lovely. There was ongoing construction to one of the buildings while I was there (Feb 2025) and I do not believe the spa services are available. The included breakfast was wonderful. The restaurant has limited hours (8-10 breakfast, 6-8 dinner, not sure about lunch) but the food was good. Dinner was very pricey for the area ($10-$20/per person)
- Emmanuel (7/5): Good value, very basic, rustic, friendly staff - Friendly staff
Restaurant on site
Massage
Good internet Small pillows
Bottled water wasn’t easily available
- Soudabeh (8/5): Very good - Peaceful and nicely decorated The jacuzzi didn't work.
- Tiago (7/5): Nice stay in our way to Banos - Good breakfast (eggs, fruit, juice, coffee, bread, etc...), room is ok, shower is good. Wifi is good too (when available due to power cuts I'd imagine. But during our stay was available 99% of the time). The surroundings are beautiful. There's a restaurant in place in case you are wondering where to have dinner
- Zeke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verners (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Cool place - Beautiful location Remote location
- Sandy (5/5): Passable -
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable. Ideal for one night stay
- Tracey (9/5): Superb - Location and staff, very good. They had a heater which was appreciated as I got soaked visiting Cotapaxi.
Good breakfast
- Andrés (8/5): Very good -
- Manik (10/5): Exceptional - nice combination of breadfast plate not much stuff to support the frount desk. If can speak little English would be grate.
- Deniz (10/5): Nice stay! - Really nice authentic property with friendly staff
- Amita (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was helpful, beautiful view of cotopaxi volcano. Nothing
- Karla (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wing (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Duncan (9/5): Hot tub and sauna were great to have after hiking. Staff helped light a campfire and we were able to meet all the guests - Amazing location with trekking right from the doorstep. 360 views and an extremely relaxing atmosphere. Food was excellent.
- Chris (10/5): Remote and Relaxing - Relaxing atmosphere in a quiet and rural setting with comfortable beds, good wifi, and good food. Our dog loved all the grass to run around on.
- John (7/5): Good -
- Mariia (10/5): Exceptional - Everything is nice, clean and new! Nikolas from staff is friendly and helpful. Territory is nice, well curated, all details made with love! View from windows is great!
- Tmima (9/5): Lovely lodge with a spectacular view - The setting :view to the mountains around and the yard between all the units. The staff was very friendly.
The massage was lovely. It is great to come of a tough hike and have the option of jacuzzi and sauna(extra charge).
The breakfast was delicious.
They had a fireplace going at night.
Our unit had a nice window seat with view. Having hammocks is such a great idea. No hand towel or a towel to step of the shower.. Need hooks for towels or clothes- will be a good idea in bathroom and rooms.
One of the heaters in our unit did not work
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Go-stevens (9/5): Superb -
- Mark (10/5): Quiet, B&B charm, antiques, no drama llamas, great breakfast! - B&B feel with great breakfast. Dinner was also great. Friendly staff made me an off-menu meal at my request, fair price. Pet llamas (won't let you pet them, but you shouldn't anyway) add to charm. Main house's antiques add to B&B charm. Stayed here on day one of two-day Cotopaxi/Quilotoa tour. My tour operator recommended this place and dropped me off and picked me up here. Very quiet, great place to stay if you are visiting Cotopaxi and not returning to Quito for the night. Nothing really. It's not the Hilton, don't stay here if that's what you want.
- Evianne (10/5): Amazing staff and comfortable rooms. - Amazing helpfull staff. Very comfortable and clean room with nice beds and a hot shower. The location is beautiful but there not really anything close to the accomodation. Would definitly stay here again. You have to drive/take a taxi if you want to go somewhere.
- Francisco (8/5): Very good - The environment was good.
Good staff
Good food Everything was until 10 pm
- Myah (9/5): Lovely stay in the shadow of Cotapaxi - Amazing location with beautiful views of mountains all around! We loved the games room and firepit and llamas just outside! Great room (very comfy bed and powerful shower) with lovely decor Paid $10 per person to use the 'spa' however this was just a hot tub and sauna as the steam room was broken/not turned on
- Manhung (10/5): Exceptional - The staff are very friendly. Enjoy SPA very much. Room is clean. Good breakfast.
- Prithu (7/5): Nice for quick stay on way to Cotopaxi - Well maintained property Nothing close to do. Location is secluded. Restaurant is expensive.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (9/5): Beautiful setting - Had a very large comfortable bed, lots of facilities such as spa and games room. Beautiful grounds. Nothing else around so nowhere to buy any snacks or supplies.
Found it expensive for the quality of the room, the shower was not that hot etc.
- Susan (9/5): Lovely site with helpful staff, friendly animals, relaxing jacuzzi, and hearty breakfast. -
- Iris (6/5): If you don't need anything to charge, it's okay but don't expect a spa! - The stuff which speaks only Spanish was really nice and supportive!
Great spot to start your daytrip to cotopaxi We asked to use the whirlpool, but they forgot to turn it on. The spa area needs a renovation it's not really inviting.
We were one out of two booked rooms and if this was the best they have - holy molly! Half of the electric wasn't working, not one power supply in the bathroom, the phone, the light beside the bed was broken,...
The stuff which speaks English was not really interested in doing her job.
- Shivani (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chase (7/5): Excellent place to relax in a rural area - For a place in a tiny town, this hotel is excellent. The rooms are basic - you may need to ask for extra blankets if you're expecting a cold night, but waking up to cows and volcanoes outside your window is pretty magical. The staff were all quite lovely and the entire place was relaxing and felt almost magical. The breakfast is included and very high quality. We did get dinner at the hotel and it was pretty expensive for what it was (though the food was good).
- Agata (9/5): Superb - Boungalows in the mountain with view on volcanos, cold room but the personel helped us to prepare fire in the fireplace. Nice garden with lamas. They also prepared only for us sauna for free. Good simple breafast.
- Robinson (9/5): Superb -
- Theresa (8/5): very pleasant. - very quiet with great views.
- Laurencazza (8/5): Quiet and quaint hotel - Really quiet, good games room, staff in dining room were attentive. Really comfortable room and had plenty of hot water, despite what other reviews say! A bit pricey for the location given it's not near anything.
- Amaury (5/5): Very expensive for the area, beds were ok, shower was cold, breakfast was small portions and nothing special, lunch/ -
- Nils (6/5): Pleasant - Nice nature view. At least there is a hot bath and a sauna. No toilet brush. No hairdryer. No shower foot towel. Many personal things were moved away in our room. The SPA is very old and dirty and the steam bath didn‘t worked at all. The price is way to expensive.
- Ulrich (8/5): Very good - No hot water and SPA on maintenance
- Matt (10/5): Exceptional -
- Juan (8/5): Nice place... but no hot water in some rooms! (?) - The setting is outstanding and the buildings and grounds are quite pretty and well maintained in general (we didn't use the spa, though, so can't comment on that). We've read bad reviews about food but we thought dinner was good and reasonably priced, and breakfast was also OK (not as good as dinner).
If you're up for a 3 to 4h walk, ask about their 12k loop from the hotel: it's an awesome hike around farmland and the views are incredible, highly recommended! As others mention, we also had issues with the hot water (as in it didn't work). We found out it's a known issue in the main house... but for unknown reasons they still lodge you there w/o any warning, even when other rooms are empty (even if more expensive). The staff knows very well about the issue so it's quite strange they just let you find out and then, well, apologise.
- Marcelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Comfortable and nice food area - Cotopaxi in area and food. Rooms were good. Better grounds and bedroom furniture
- Eugene (5/5): Passable - Surrounding No heat, broken bathroom light
- Toledo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (9/5): Kind staff, comfortable rooms and spectacular views. - The bed was amazingly comfortable and came with six layers of blankets - perfect for a cilly night! The views were spectacular - we could see at least three snow capped mountains - including Cotopaxi.
- Debby (8/5): Very good -
- Aguirre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rupert (7/5): Comfortable but bad, expensive food. - The room was clean and comfortable. The shower wasn't very powerful or hugely warm. We didn't have time to look around the grounds, but the parking was great and the place seemed nice. The dinner food is very expensive for Ecuador and incredibly basic for what you pay - think plain boiled pasta with a very basic jarred sauce. Sandwiches were pretty bad. It's the sort of food you make when you're a student. This was the major drawback of the place from our point of view. I would otherwise recommend it.
- Priten (10/5): very pleasant and relaxing - beautiful rooms, lots of space, warm, hot water, pleasant, great wifi location was very far from cotopaxi
- Helen (6/5): Stopover enroute between Cotopaxi and Quilotoa - beautiful setting, good value tasty food for our late lunch uncomfortable bed / linen and room smelt musty
- Irit (10/5): Exceptional - paradise
quaiet
food excelant
the staff treat you with a lot of love
- Jeremy (5/5): Passable - Competent staff and the restaurant is ok.
Very close from the cotopaxi national park. - Rained inside the lodge
- Everything extra is to pay (ex: 1$ a glass of purified water)
- it’s not a « Spa bien-être hotel », a jacuzzi is open one hour a day (not working steam-bath, way not warm enough sauna)
- Chad (10/5): - Tony and Patty, the care takers of the lodge were very accommodating and provided prompt service
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and attentive staff. Beautiful surrounding area, great accommodation and great breakfast!
- Ian (8/5): - Nice country environment.
Friendly staff. Well organized.
- Patricia (8/5): Beautiful setting, comfortable stop. - beautiful location, nice rooms, good service in the restaurant. Spa could be much better. Overall, a very pleasant place to stop.
- Luc (10/5): - Very cossy Nice fois Nice location neer Cotopaxi valcano
- Gideon (10/5): - The Owner/Manager had such such an amazing personality. She went out of her way to accommodate us especially with how busy the hotel was. I believe her name was Angelica and what an angel she was. Out upgraded room was also superb! Spacious and clean. Will definitely stay there if I have the chance again.
- JOAO VITOR (10/5): good place in the mountains - Lugar com boa estrutura, staff muito amigavel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice property that is very well maintained near the Cotopaxi volcano. Food is good and the staff are very helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very well located place to make a trip to Cotopaxi.
