• Neroli (9/5): Will be back - I had booked a walker for my stay in Darwin, the hotel was happy to store it for two days until my arrival. Also Coles Online was delivered to my room and into the fridge. The location was perfect for the Mitchell Street nightclubs and having a one bedroom apartment it was away from the noise of Mitchell Street making it very private. Staff could do with some disability awareness training, telling someone with a walking stick it is not far too walk is not always helpful.

• Robert (8/5): Good location. Good apartment layout. Clean. Small things could be better. - The location was good. The apartment layout was exactly what we required. Everything was clean. We were surprised that the apartment was serviced the first 2 days that we were there - we weren't expecting that - but it wasn't serviced after the first 2 days! None of these were huge problems for us. There was a smell like fish whenever we entered our room - that disappeared whenever the aircon was on but came back when the aircon was off. The fan in the bedroom was not working when arrived - they 'fixed' it but the lowest speed was so slow that it was useless and the next speed was far too fast so we couldn't use the fan at all. The crockery etc was quite sparse - only 1 cup and only 1 drinking glass. None of it matched but that was no big deal for us. It looked like these were sourced from someone who was throwing out unwanted items.

• Chris (9/5): Great place to stay, central to the center of Darwin and transport, most of all great people. - The room was as displayed on the site and very comfortable. we had some issues with the furniture which was corrected as soon as we notified the staff. the best part of the stay was the staff, very friendly and helpful. Across the road to the hotel is a club who moved the music speakers outside and blasted the area on the first 4 nights until 3:00am, the staff were apologetic and had complained to the local authorities but had no control over the venue.

Smokers area right outside rooms, so (again) had to listen to all conversations said smokers were having. Need to at least put a sign advising smokers that they are right beside rooms, or change smoking location to the front of the building. Initially entry to the room was to a strong smell of bleach - I suppose that meant it was clean, but took awhile to get that to go away.

The room smelt moldy, there were only sheets on the bed - no blanket, we checked in at 1am and the nightclub played it’s music til 4am, then the cleaners started vacuuming outside our room at 7am. There were also cockroaches in the room. We only stayed 1 night, with the plan of traveling for a week, then back to Darwin for a week also staying at the Darwin City Hotel. Thankfully, our free cancellation period was still current, so we cancelled. Our friends traveling with us, who also had a bad experience, cancelled too. We found a 3 bed executive apartment and it saved us $800 collectively. If you choose to say here, then request a room as far away from Smith Street as possible.

• Paul (4/5): Dis-appointing - Other than the staff being very friendly and approachable, not much. What didn't go well, Friday & Saturday nights. The street noise was at a very high decibel until 03:00am Saturday night. I had previously stayed a little under 2 weeks - 10th - 13th April in Room 419. Enjoyed my stay so much I rebooked. But this time in Room 418 - Street noise so loud, not only annoying but frustrating because complaining doesn't help the situation. Could noise levels be lowered as a compromise? Will stay again, but on the Odd numbered Room side of the hotel.

I arrived on a saturday and had an early start 5.30am sunday morning, there is a nightclub very close that was loud enough to wake me at 1.00am and keep me waking up every soofften untill aproximately 3.30 - 4.00am. • Andita (5/5): - There’s a very loud bar right in front of the hotel which playing music until 4AM. The double sealed window did not help at all.
