- Jenny (10/5): It is a wonderful location in an iconic street. I love it here and so do my dogs. Will be back 100% - The location is wonderful, and it has a lovely relaxing vibe which makes it easier to settle in and chill. I just love this house and always will be back to "Beauvais". It is a happy, wonderful property which makes me never want to leave. Air conditioning that is a split. The heating situation is dreadful if you do not want to light a fire and purchase firewood. It needs a split system in the lounge area. It was freezing and boiling hot in a matter of two days. The couches are horribly uncomfortable also. It needs new outdoor furniture as it is dangerous and rickety but the rest of the location is marvellous. Only being more critical because I have been there 4 times and will be back, still love it.
- Neil (6/5): Pleasant - Location and play room The bedrooms, hall and lounge needed a good clean, in particular a dust and a good vacuum everywhere, curtains need some tlc, and some general maintenance would be good. Electrical connections behind the tv unit unsafe.
- Ganesh (9/5): Beautiful Contemporary Victorian Home At A Great Location - The house is from Victorian era, and has beautiful architecture. The rooms are massive, and living area is quite big as well. The kitchen has utensils, cups and plates. The architecture of the home is such that families get together and are not siloed in different corners of the house.
There were games and a table tennis setup, which was great for kids and adults alike in the family.
The location of the property is very close to shops, so it's walkable distance to restaurants and the local IGA. Griffiths Island is also at walkable distance.
The hosts were gracious enough to extend our checkout by an hour, thus accommodating our last-minute changes. Only one toilet for the entire house of 4 bedrooms, is very inconvenient if two families are staying.
The property had parking at the back, but on the grass. So guests have to be careful not to use the grass for parking when it rains, else it may damage the grass.
It would have been good if cling wrap and aluminum wraps in the kitchen.
- Lisa (8/5): Character and location to put experience into your holiday! - Absolutely stunning old house with an exceptional garden. Character in every corner. Close to Main Street. Lots of room to hang out and for kids to play. I would have liked some outdoor drying options for laundry and swimmers. Also only one toilet is a bit short if you’re staying many. Little bit musky in some of the not yet renovated rooms.
- Amanda (4/5): A nice old house, close to town, well stocked kitchen & comfortable beds, but not well presented & a little over - Big, well stocked kitchen, great games room, comfortable beds, close to town. Quite shabby & very dusty. Overpriced compared to equivalent properties.
