• Janelle (8/5): Such a beautiful location to stay - The location was amazing, it was spacious and comfortable The bathroom situation was not wonderful, the shower being over the top of a ridiculously oversized bath and high bath. The fan was so very loud. Also no handheld shower. The bathroom sink was so very low and either the sink is blocked or there is a problem with the way the plumbing was installed. By the time we would have got hot water through to the sink in the morning, it would have overflowed. Had to get the hot water through in shifts between letting the sink drain. The kitchen bench is ridiculously high.

The view, the big comfy king size bed, flatscreen tv , 5 star and to have our little toy poodle with us was the icing on the cake . Highly recommended The well equiped kitchen, the big spa bath, location was so peaceful

• Stephen (8/5): Fairly expensive but a wonderful location - The location is the main attraction of this property. Stunning views from main rooms across sandhills to a rocky shore and crashing waves Unfortunately there was a power outage for most of our stay. This was beyond the control of the owners and we were compensated to some extent for the inconvenience. I'm sure the house would be even better with a functioning shower and lights.

• Leah (9/5): Superb - The view was amazing and the unit very comfortable and spacious. Even in winter it would be good to look out in comfort on the wild southern ocean. There was a sheltered courtyard too. A lovely walking path leads to the beach. Kitchen, spa bath, and BBQ facilities added to our delightful weekend. A small issue was quickly sorted by polite staff. The price....was very high due to it being festival long weekend. This was expected.

• Christopher (3/5): Very poor value for money and bloody disappointing - Amazing views House is very dated, rundown Security is poor, door lock ancient Lounge couch and chair very uncomfortable, old, worn out Didn’t sleep the first night due to the crickets in the house flying jumping in the bedroom on the bed and no we did not leave any doors or windows open during the day For the money we paid $456 per night we expected at least something modern looking and at least well maintained

• Carolyn (6/5): Well laid out unit in good location close to sea but would benefit from improved sofa &bed mattress - Fabulous location in relation to the roaring sea! Good Quiet location All eating/cooking equipment you could need within the accommodation. Lovely soft large towels and face cloths provided. Car journey required for Port Fairy restaurants and shops. Good choice of each. Great location for travelling to surrounding places / towns of interest. The sofa cushions were thin, low and over used making it very uncomfortable. It also Smelt of suncream. The single chair provided was also uncomfortable to sit in. The bed felt hard possibly due to the electric blanket which wasn’t needed in summer. It would have benefitted from a mattress topper to make it feel more comfortable. The air bubbles would not work on the bath spa so only the jets worked - not very relaxing. We would have liked a coffee machine.
• Julie (7/5): Relaxing a great place to unwind listening to the crashing waves whilst you sleep or are in the spa ! - Rooms with a view of the ocean. The spa was fabulous . The record player was a great touch. Loved the automatic blinds that allowed you to block the glare. Only tea and coffee supplied and the coffee was we’ll out of date. Glad we brought our own . We found an empty plastic bottle under the bed too which made me question if the place was throughly cleaned. Everywhere seemed clean . The couch could do with an upgrade .

The ocean is right at your doorstep and the sounds of the rolling ocean are peaceful. The views are breathtaking. Walks along the beach, relax by the fire, have spa whilst looking at the ocean along with a stay in a coat, well equipped cabin. This is our third time and each time we come away feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

• Mathew (8/5): Very good - While we were away, we encountered an unexpected car accident, having to stay two extra nights, the staff (Sandra) and team were extremely accommodating to help us stay in the same villa while the car was being repaired, this made our stay far less stressful. We were incredibly grateful. Highly recommend the hearns exceptional customer service. We have stayed here a number of times, the location is incredible, awesome views from all parts of the villa and nice comfortable spaces regardless of the weather with the added bonus of being pet friendly

Very small things… maybe a sharper knife and some scissors would have been useful. We stayed 3 days and could have benefitted from extra towels.

• Deb (8/5): Excellent except for above - Everything was wonderful except a couple of details below (1) Lounge in photo was leather modern L shape. What was their old lumpy lounge. (2) when going for walk on beach sliding does not lock on outside which meant valuables exposed. (3) Owners dog Rufiki second day on beach followed and stalked daughter who is afraid of unknown dogs.The first time we had to turn back half way the second time hardly started walk at all then she wouldn’t go on beach so had to drive to pea soup so we could enjoy walk on beach which defeated the reason of getting and paying for ocean views. Third day we had found out who the dog belonged to and that it was friendly so daughter was then able to go back down beach without worry of the dog scaring her as much since it stayed by our side the entire walk and back. She was still worried in case it got into a fight with another dog but I told her it must do this everyday and hopefully other dog owners will sought it out. ( Can I please strongly suggest you let people know that the properties dogs name and that it is very friendly and maybe a picture of it so other people don’t get frightened. ( a lot of people are afraid of dogs). It wouldn’t have maybe mattered if it was just going past but it was trying to interact with my daughter and when she told it to go away it started barking at her which freaked her out. )
• Ryan (9/5): We had an amazing long Easter weekend. Although the weather was cool and wet, it did not impact the experience as the vi - The view and location was spectacular with all the amenities one would need. Great property and truly a relaxing haven. The TV needs to be upgraded to a smart tv, also we found the bed to be hard and the gas log fire place was restricted to a low flame so the ambience a fire place could not be enjoyed.

• Slav (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful beach side villa, it was magical to sit on the deck and enjoy the view. A very spacious villa and comfortable bed. The jacuzzi is also very enjoyable as you can see the sea from the bedroom and bathroom. Would love to visit again.

• Jen (10/5): Bliss at the beach - The view and access to the beach. It appeared the cleaning wasn’t quite finished in ours. Not enough towels, no bin liners. A phone call fixed these though.
