Guest Reviews
- Heaton (8/5): Lovely house in a great location. - Clean, well supplied kitchen, lots of space Shower was ordinary with not a lot of water pressure, had no free WiFi for first few days as they had not updated to WiFi password but this eventually got sorted so should now be o, for future users.
- Lindsay (7/5): Good -
- Les (3/5): Great position, but not value for money - Position is exceptional for this renovated triple fronted brick veneer property 150 metres from Port Fairy’s Eastern Beach, surfing, swimming, bird watching. Pet friendly, comfortable, Poor presentation, low quality coffee machine, wifi router not connected to internet, not properly cleaned prior to arrival, outside shower blocked, no fan in toilet, low water pressure in kitchen.
- Romesh (7/5): Very comfortable, Clean and Very Close to the Beach - It was very clean, Organised, and had all the house requirements The common Toilet did not have Extractor Fan, No Batteries in Remotes, Sink Tap very low water pressure. Milk BBD passed.
No Air Conditioning or Fans to Rooms
- Nathan (9/5): Superb - Being able to bring our dog with us and the proximity to the beach was great
- Robert (4/5): Crazy high price due to Port Fairy Folk festival made me expect more: Set your expectations low. - Location good for Port Fairy Folk Festival and town if you have bicycles which we did. Bit far out if not. Pet friendly which was important to us. Double basin in bathroom useful. Fair amount of space for two families and nice big dining table All a bit shabby round the edges. Dingy economy lighting with mismatched colour globes throughout the house. Wardrobe with no doors and bare shelves, old bent dry-cleaner clothes hangers. The bedside light in bed 2 was not connected to anything, and no socket nearby. I had to wire it up across the room using an extension lead found in bed 1. Only three rolls of toilet paper were supplied for seven people for three days, had to call and ask for more (which was supplied swiftly) Also very warm doonas/duvets and no alternate bedding.
- Margaret (6/5): Good location. - Location. TV aerial was broken and hanging. It flapped dangerously in the wind, therefore NO tv reception - NOT ideal for family, especially when weather inclement. Shower head was huge, but only about 1/3 of outlets provided water - very poor and needs updating! More hooks or railings in the bathroom for towels/ clothes. Neither Kitchen tap (2) provided hot water for washing up. Outdoor setting was covered in moss - could not use, therefore no suitable outdoor seating st all. At almost $300 per day, the above matters need to be repaired/replaced to make tenants’ stays more comfortable and enjoyable.
- Lindsay (8/5): had a lovely stay and would most likely return as the positives outweigh the negatives - location was excellent
newly renovated kitchen was well stocked
good size enclosed yard for our dogs couldn’t get the tv to work
externally the lawn needed mowing and the windows needed a clean and quite a few cobwebs . The outdoor setting was a disaster
- Loreen (5/5): Hearns staff helpful about missing items, keys & cleanliness - Beds comfy & linen clean For a house that’s been renovated ?? needs a lot more work. On the surface clean but needs a full clean. Bedroom windows unable to open, window ledges have years of dirt, house has unpleasant odour, spiders. Needs new shower head. Wi fi advertised but noted in house book not available.
Not value for money. Disappointing.
Photos below are not in order as marked by rooms.
- Cindy (9/5): Superb -
- Ariadne (4/5): Disappointing - Bed was comfortable At $289 a night I would expect the below as a bare minimum
Toiletries in the bathroom
More than two roles of Toilet paper
Doors on the second bedroom Warrdrobes
Dryer for clothes
Pepper grinder
Privacy in first bedroom dining room and lounge which didn’t involve having to keep the blinds shut 24/7
Basics in the fridge, milk, butter.
Mobile phone reception was appalling.
