Guest Reviews
- Darren (10/5): We would highly recommend everyone to stay at Casa De Torre whether it is for one night or a week. It would be amazing - We cannot say enough nice things about this property. The building is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are amazing and there’s a lovely swimming pool. The hosts were super and could not have been nicer and more accommodating. They took us into town for Supper and dropped us off and then came back and picked us up when we were ready. The breakfast was delicious and the booked us a taxi to take us back to the trail in the morning. There is nothing that we did not like about this property. It was perfect!
- Iwona (10/5): Polecam! - Piękne miejsce, czysto, bardzo wygodne łóżka.
- Sophie (10/5): I highly recommend this place - I loved everything. It was a cozy and dreamy place. Beautiful room. The staff were super nice.

- Judith (10/5): Lucky to find this beautiful casa - If you are lucky, you will find yourself at Casa da Torre and experience the magic of staying in a historic casa that has been beautifully renovated for guests. Casa da Torre is a beautiful stone enclave, part of which dates to the 1600s or even to the era of the Vikings. The guest rooms are like glowing stone sanctuaries for guests, many of whom are peregrinos. Breakfast is lovely and personalized. Ramona goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are comfortable and supported in their camino quest. Staying at Casa da Torre feels like being part of a warm family.

Nada.
- Fernanda Paula Sousa Jesus (10/5): Maravilhosa. :) Voltaremos!

Espero poder volver.
- Sharon (10/5): Beautifully restored historic manor house with exquisite guest services. Hope you can stay here!! - This is probably among the loveliest accommodations I've experienced anywhere in the world. We were perigrinos traveling by foot & this wonderful 17th century restored manor house is NOT particularly close to the Camino route per se - however, Ramona (the owner) will pick you up & give you transport to the manor house & even into Padron for dinner! Ramona, her staff & family couldn't have been more gracious. The wonderful old stone walls of each room ooze history & character; it has been authentically, graciously restored throughout. The grounds are stunning. After an abundant & delicious full breakfast Isabel drove us back to our Camino route the next morning. Hope you have a chance to stay here!! This property exponentially exceeded my expectations. All was perfect!
- Patti (9/5): Traditional finca. Had to get a taxi from Padron as was doing the Camino - Beautiful Finca property. Lovely pool and amazing breakfast.
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional - We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Casa da Torre and felt very welcomed and at home from the moment we arrived. The property is delightfully rural and the interior is a well thought out mixture of old and new, so it retains its character whilst being modern.
As lots of others have mentioned, the breakfast is a definite highlight and not to be missed. Service is so friendly and we felt like a part of a community with the other guests who were there. It was particularly hot during our stay so we enjoyed some time in the garden pool area which is beautiful. When we went out to explore the local area, we used the routes given to us when we arrived as a basis for our day's plan and as a result, saw places we otherwise would have missed. We really enjoyed this as it was a bit of a mystery tour each time. Usually I plan an itinerary so I always know what's next, but with the routes, we just went with the flow. It was great - we did a couple in the car but also a walking one from the house. I recommend giving them a try.
Anyway, to summarise, we loved everything about our stay. We recommend Casa da Torre very highly and would love to return one day.
- Darren (9/5): A comfortable stay in a unique property - Very comfortable and clean room. The staff and owner were wonderful, sharing information about the history of the place. Breakfast was delicious. It was a little out of our way (walking Camino) and the property itself was unique and a little rundown.
- Robin (10/5): Our stay was extremely restful and a delightful. - It was tranquil and delightful
- Juliet (10/5): Staying here was amazing experience in rural idyll! - Beautiful ancient finca with charming pool & warm staff!
Amazing breakfast with homemade chocolate cake, chesecake, fresh OJ , jamon cheese etc just fabulous!
Thank you for organising local restaurant and helping with our transport! Loved it all!
- Peter (10/5): outstanding - a place full of history from the time of the Vikings
Ramona, our host outstanding
This is the place to know the roots of Galicia
- Jack (9/5): Superb - Stunning room and great breakfast.
- Ildiko (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic and kind host. Beautiful location. After walking whole day we didn’t expect to find such a beautiful oase .
We were kindly welcomed , supported, taken care of. It was a relaxing and healing atmosphere with a beautiful garden. We are still thankful for the kindness.
The breakfast is very rich, I have seen there were products also gluten free products.
- David (10/5): True gem of a place that we discovered while on the Camino - Excellent accommodation in very tastefully and impressively restored / maintained country manor dating all the way back to 17th century. Ramona was such a great and incredibly attentive host, gave us a lift to Padron and back on Sunday night when most local restaurants close early so that we could have a dinner. Breakfast was excellent too, a lot of variety and great home-made cakes (including the famous Santiago one). It's a bit off the Camino but well worth the small detour we made to get there - can thoroughly recommend it to any pilgrim!
- Judith (10/5): A wonderful stay in an exceptional accommodation. - The central section of the property where our room was was built in the 16th century. It was originally a tower with a warning fire to let people know that the Vikings were invading. It has been stunningly renovated by Ramona over the years. Her knowledge of the history is very interesting to hear. Our room was outstanding. Breakfast was delicious with Ramona making a GF bread plus a Santiago cake, both of which I was able to enjoy. (I am coeliac). We caught a taxi in heavy rain from the Camino then a taxi back the following morning. (€5)
- Mariin (10/5): Super nice place - A lovely cottage behind the fences, where we felt at home in Galicia. A paradise garden with fruit around the house. The landlady was very kind and the breakfast was a rich choice.
- Henry (8/5): intriguing - character
- Gino (10/5): Most Personalized in Every Detail - So impressive inside and outside as well as personalized meal preparation!
- Diana (10/5): a friend and I were walking the Camino Portuguese and found this pension, a little bit off the beaten path - so quaint, and well cared for and beautiful. the hosts felt like family, they were so warm. I felt like I wanted to move in. it was a little distance from the Camino, however the hosts were so accommodating regarding this by generously giving us rides
- Michael (7/5): Great location to visit Santiago (25 mins away by car) and also coast to the west (15 mins by car) - Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, clean apartment. Lovely gardens! The apartment whilst very clean felt a bit basic and not as welcoming/warm as it could have done with just a few more homely tweaks added and there. The lighting inside the apartment was also a little off.
- Claudia (10/5): Fantastic stay at renovated and charming country house ideally located in Galicia to reach everything quickly! A dream! - Our stay at Casa da Torre was absolutely fantastic! The location is ideal to reach all points of interest quickly by rental car (Santiago de Compostela, Rias Baixas, etc), the staff is very friendly. They are always up for a chat and gave us great recommendations of where to eat and excursions to do, which was more than helpful. The accommodation itself is a charmingly renovated cottage house, with all brand new instalations in the bedrooms, decorared modernly and very comfortable. And the breakfast…a dream! All home made and grown in their own garden. We saw them late in the evening baking apple cake from their own apples in the garden which we tried for breakfast the next morning, an absolute delight! We will return for sure when back in Galicia! Thank you very much! Claudia & Alejandro Nothing to complain about.
- Janice (10/5): we had an excellent stay. Ramona and staff amazing—very helpful and considerate - beautiful setting and excellent staff
- Ronald (10/5): the friendly staff, the beautiful accommodations, and comfortable surroundings have give us reason to return soon and st - everything … and the staff were so accommodating with a special request
