- Peter (7/5): Centrally located character hotel -
- stephen (9/5): -
- Alan (6/5): Nice place to meet friends but expensive - Location Uneven ,floors
- Brian (8/5): - The fact that we were unable to get food at the hotel at 8.20pm as we were told that the food was finished
- Jayne (8/5): Great hotel with character - A most charming historical building with lots of characters. Plenty of space, lounges, bars, coffee room. Our room was beautiful, a delux room worth paying the extra. Huge double bed well equipped bathroom. We had two large Tv one to watch from the sitting room and one at the end of the bed. Staff were great. Car parking The hotels car park has a very narrow entrance, however there is a public car park at the back.

- Margaret (8/5): -
- Malcolm (9/5): As good as the previous stay. - Excellent breakfast choices and even better lunches. Parking is difficult, especially the entrance to The Feathers.
- Patrick (9/5): Our hub for the RHS Flower Show - All the staff were both, friendly and professional. The food. Everything we had was freshly prepared and cooked. Also a lot of the food was locally sourced.
- Judy (10/5): Most enjoyable - Exceeded expectations in all respects. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, food very good, both dinner and breakfast. Car park very tight especially to enter/exit but nothing could be done about that because it was constructed to suit coaches not modern traffic!
- Timothy (8/5): -
- russell (8/5): -
- Gaynor (10/5): Would return in a heartbeat! - Everything! Location, kerb appeal rooms and staff. Very narrow entrance to car park.

- T5529DOtonym (10/5): First class lunch - Popped into the Feathers for some lunch , our choice on the menu was their beef burger. Absolutely fantastic , tasty and well cooked , not only was the food excellent but the waiting staff were first class, friendly, attentive , couldn’t have asked for more
- Ausonio (9/5): - Good breakfast, historical place, confortable room Not easy to find light switches!
- Helen (7/5): Historic and charming - Very central and charmingly historic. Interesting and comfortable decor. Nice staff. Good food and welcoming public spaces. Bedroom was very attractive with good facilities but hot and airless (in late April) so slept badly. Couldn’t open window - ancient sash onto street. Duvet was too high a tog (10.5 - I saw that because I took it out of the cover and just slept with the cover).
- Terence (9/5): We will definitely return, as the staff and facilities made up for any niggles. - The staff were great from the start. The room was lovely, with a superb en-suite. Food is excellent and good value for money. The location is excellent, really good for sightseeing in the local area. The maintenance needs to be tightened up. I had an ironing board that kept collapsing, due to a bent catch, and the hook on the inside of the bathroom door came off when I hung an after-shower towel on it, as the screws were not held in by rawl-plugs.
- Denise (10/5): -
- 886hughe (8/5): Restaurant Service needs improvement - Had an afternoon tea there. Vegan scone was hard, break in to pieces and inedible. Probably not fresh. Some of the Staff also need to be more attentive to their customers, considering a 10% tip is added to the final bill.
- Christian (8/5): Prestation globale en baisse par rapport au passé - L’emplacement Restauration en baisse
- Shirley (7/5): Good - Location Staircase up to bedroom area. Looks tired
- jessica (10/5): -
- Simon (8/5): It's a beautiful old world hotel and the staff were really friendly. -
- Michael (10/5): I'll be back - The room bathroom and loo was a bit tight ! Felt really well looked after; the staff are clearly enjoying working at The Feathers, it shows; super food and good wine choices for dinner. Slept like a baby
- Tony (8/5): Very comfortable one night stay - Location, very clean friendly staff No lift
- Jackie (9/5): Lovely weekend break in a great location. - Lovely room, very clean with a big bathroom. The room was overlooking the street so it was a little noisy at times but the secondary glazing helped to stop some of it. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice. we ate in the restaurant on our second night and the food was excellent.
Lots of other places to eat and drink round about if you don't want to eat in the hotel every night, there are some lovely old pubs just a few minutes walk away. The bed was a bit hard for our liking but that's just personal choice. The car park is quite small and you have to drive through an old archway which is very narrow so beware if you have a big car, my husband scraped his car! Not complaining about the hotel though as obviously it is a very old property. There is a public car park around the back of the property which you have to pay for but is quite handy.
- Maria (9/5): -
- Janet (10/5): - Friendly helpful staff, lovely comfortable room, great food. Nothing
- wearywollie (10/5): A real English treasure - What an unexpected treasure, it appeared lovely, but from the inside it was a real English inn, a graceful well appointed gem of a hotel. The bedroom was a loving superbly clean and well presented feature, a gorgeous large well furnished room, suitable for passing royalty. Nice friendly staff, even a car park, but don't bring a large AWD as getting in , is a tight breath in, squeeze ! Verdict. these hoteliers know what they are doing, would visist again
- Philip (8/5): - Breakfast cooked to order with a wide choice. Poor to non-existent wifi in the upstairs rooms
- Linda (10/5): Lovely stay but stairs a bit scary handrails very low. Noti suitable for people with mobility proble - Staff were excellent No lift we found the stairs very difficult
- peterfL5914IQ (10/5): Best Christmas - Fantastic Christmas here.
Staff were fantastic and our dog was made very welcome
- danielmT5925HA (10/5): Great hotel. - Amazing service and food. Made to feel welcome and will return! Cooked breakfast and coffee was a highlight!
- Andrew (8/5): I like The Feathers. It is a charming hotel with lots of character and great staff - Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Very nice evening meal. Service was very good, and all the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I was in a front room on the hottest day we’ve had so far this year. It was a standard double and, for me, I found it very warm and difficult to sleep. If I’d gone for a larger room it may have been a more comfortable temperature.
- Sue (9/5): Comfortable stay in a traditional hotel - Loved the vegan options , really good .
Friendly staff , comfy room . Finding car park . Online info gave us the wrong postcode and it was only by chance we eventually found the right one . More info on car park needed on booking. Com

- Tsaiw_13 (10/5): Lovely hotel in Ledbury - What a lovely hotel and perfect for our university get together when everyone was coming from different parts of the country. We had dinner on one of the nights which was really nice. Really friendly staff. You did get the impression they were understaffed as it was busy alot of the time we were there tables in the bar and lobby not being cleared. They did tend to run out of a lot of the wine on the menu too so good idea to stock properly. Would also be an idea to send out a map of how to reach the car park as its not obvious so when they send out the email to check in before arrival thats probably a good time to send it out. A beautifully decorated hotel though with a really nice feel to it.
- Jemma (10/5): -
- Jeremy (10/5): Beautiful room in an olde worlde hotel! - Lovely bar staff…very friendly. Great location in the heart of Ledbury.

- D123456789P (10/5): Very comfortable - Lovely old coach house but we appointed.
We did do dinner and breakfast which were both good.
Prices in the restaurant were as expected these days but very nice
We do plan to return and stay again later in the year to explore the area more as this was a flying visit The car park while free to use with limited spaces has a very tight archway entrance but as long as you are confident, negotiable. There is a public car park very close by if you are less confident
- Adventurer545141 (4/5): Poor food, bad quality cooking - Poor experience, we had breakfast, spinach’s mushroom and tomato, very bland, tasteless and would rather have gone without than eat something to dry and plain, would not recommend
- nwes444 (10/5): Great hotel and coffee lounge - Just here for coffee today ,excellent table service and a super hotel with plenty of space ....have had many good meals here as well.
- Baker (7/5): Good for a short break - Comfortable accommodation. Basic self catering if required in the cottage. The breakfast was good in the restaurant. Very few sockets in the bedroom. Nowhere to plug in a hairdryer near a mirror. The towels are very thin.
- GPJJune2017 (10/5): A great hotel, with amazing service and food. 5* all the way! - A fantastic hotel with amazing food and service!!
We’ve just come back from a long weekend away staying at the feathers and can’t say enough on how impressed we were with the level of service and how amazing the food was, along with it being a lovely hotel steeped in history.
A big thank you to Dan from making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and for being on hand for any advice or help, I have to say the service from you and your staff was truly exceptional 😊
I’m sure we’ll be back to stay with you again later in the year.
Kind regards Greg and Jo.
- L6557DVdarrenl (10/5): Midlands cpl darren annette - Stayed 1 night b/b in superior room was lovely comfy bed fixture fittings lovely had meal in evening lovely too , breakfast was tasty great suface by all staff.
- Susan (10/5): Great weekend meeting friends. Loved it - Lovely staff, gorgeous hotel and restaurant. The breakfast was yummy. The location is perfect with long stay car park close by if needed. We had a great weekend here
- Lang (10/5): - Room Othing
- macaroon40 (4/5): Coffee shop - Time and again the service here is so slow. Not uncommon to wait 15-20mins to be served. On occasions I have given up waiting and gone to counter to order…then told someone will come to the table. Another wait. The staff are generally lovely and run off their feet. Not uncommon to have one poor person taking orders, making orders, bringing out orders and clearing tables.
- David (3/5): Lovely old building - deserves better! - Beautiful building - absolutely stunning. It’s dreadful the way this hotel group takes advantage of these old properties - no management and leaving youngsters without the right experience to try their best. Food was awful - like Fawlty Towers going back and forth.
The young lady in charge was way out of her depth and explained her grinning and smirking during my complaint as part of her training!
- Luke (10/5): -
- lisasmithie (10/5): Lovely Sunday lunch for Mothers Day - Really impressed with the Sunday Lunch Mothers Day menu! We got given a quieter table outside of the main restaurant (which we’d book again) and the service was excellent.
Really nice Sunday lunch, would definitely go back.
- Judy (8/5): Happy with my visit! - Comfortable room,, nice decor and touches. Lovely food, breakfast and dinner. A bit of a hike to get into the shower for my sister-in-law and a lot of stairs to the top floor. Would try for a lower room next time.
- Chris (8/5): Really good, we enjoyed it! - Nice room, lovely breakfast, helpful staff

- Aclub_member_13 (10/5): Hidden gem, great service, staff, food and rooms - This place us a hidden gem. Great atmosphere, lovely rooms and perfect for a relaxing stay and hanging out by the fireside on a Sunday afternoon.
We'll be back!

- terrymG372CL (10/5): Relaxing experience…. - We have just spent a couple of days in the lovely little town of Ledbury. A very pretty place with many beautiful old Black & White buildings, including The Feathers Hotel where we stayed.
It’s a wonderful old place, full of character. The staff were so attentive & caring & couldn’t do enough for us especially, Tom, our receptionist, Tayla & Jess, our restaurant ladies & Carrie from housekeeping.
Everyone was friendly & made us feel so very welcome.
We stayed in a quiet room at the back of the hotel, not an amazing view, but we weren’t there for that, with a huge very comfortable bed & a modern bathroom with a walk-in shower. The floors were all uneven & a bit creaky but it’s a very old hotel & when a lady reaches that sort of age she’s allowed to have a bit of ‘quirkiness’. 🤣🤣
The food was amazing with generous helpings & the restaurant was very relaxing.
There are some lovely little seating areas with log fires making it very cosy if you just wanted to chill out.
We would certainly recommend The Feathers to anyone visiting Ledbury as it’s very central to all the wonderful little shops, cafes & pubs some hidden away down tiny alleyways.
We found a tiny pub, see pics, which was very ‘strange’ & also ate at one of the oldest, The Blue Boar which was full of character & supplied delicious food.
- stephenpW4967WX (10/5): HIGH EXPECTATIONS - Our high expectations were excellent; the hotel, staff, food and position did not disappoint in anyway.
We like the The Coaching Inn Group Hotels; not had a bad one yet.
Everything was perfect in everyway.
Maybe if a timid car driver go for public car park adjoining back of hotel. Hotel car park entrance is rather narrow; definitely don't take the Cadillac!
- Chris (8/5): - Comfortable room. Great breakfast. Very helpful staff. Bar closed by 10.30 when we were told 11.00. Night staff reluctantly served drinks.
- peter (10/5): Can't wait to return - Perfect Can't think of anything
- Glynis (8/5): -
- dahr64 (10/5): A Great Place to Stay - Myself and my husband treated ourselves to a two-night stay at The Feathers Hotel and really couldn't have been happier with our choice. We hadn't been before but check-in was prompt and friendly and the hotel is clearly very popular as a meeting place for couples, friends and families for coffees, lunches, and evening meals. It's furnished very comfortably and attractively yet still retains an olde world charm. Our room (5) was spotless, very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Shower was good and hot. There was a bit of noise inside and out up until about midnight but given that it was a weekend, I think that's to be expected. We slept well and the breakfast was a great start to the day with cooked-to-order hot options and cereals, fruit, croissants, etc at a buffet. We'd definitely return. What also really delighted me is that not one member of staff there referred to us as "guys"!

- Jo (9/5): Lovely place for a short break. - Central location with parking on site Nothing
- Adrian (9/5): -
- christinas886 (10/5): Coffee break! - Don’t expect stuffy old hotel, this is a comfy, relaxed coffee stop with fabulous interiors. Incredible decor, you’ll want to sit for hours. A wonderful way to spend a rainy day
- michaeldU1659OS (10/5): Short break to take it easy with my dear wife. - Wonderful return to the town, where I worked next door back in the 70's. A first class stay. Rooms, dining, bar and cafe were all brilliant. Hats off to everyone, a very enjoyable stay.
- chriseN1350DK (10/5): Lovely Dinner bed and Breakfast weekend - We had a very enjoyable stay, the hotel had a nice atmosphere, the bar seamed to have a friendly buzz at all times of the day, the manager couldn’t do enough for you, the food and service in the restaurant was very good. If you are looking for a hotel that’s done well, “like it used to be” you will be happy with your choice.
- kirsty (9/5): We had a lovely stay with a comfortable room and great food. - A historic Tudor building which has been beautifully decorated throughout, especially the coffee shop area which is very comfortable and cosy. Very comfortable extra wide bed, a good selection of products in the bathroom. Dinner was outstanding and the breakfast was very tasty.
The staffing team were very helpful. The room did get overly warm but fans were there to use.
- Harry (7/5): - Good location, dining room pleasant, breakfast quite good. Found James helpfull Restricted car entrance and cramped car park.
Help with luggage almost none existent
- William (7/5): - Nice hotel good location Room was very warm despite turning radiator off and opening window
- elizabeth (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Fab place to stay with a superb generous breakfast. - Very clean and had a great atmosphere. Water pressure in shower in room 19 was
Poor.
- ROOSKE11 (2/5): Frosty - OK. Saturday afternoon I popped in fior a pint. A gent with black shirt served me. He was very pleasant. I ordered Inches cider and had a bit of loose change so was going to play the £5.90 which it stated in the board. He typed in and said £6 .10. I queeried this and he looked at the board. It was then an obnoxious miserable looking man (he totally looked unhappy in his work) intervened and said "the price is wrong, that was fot a different cider!". It said INCHES CIDER, what I ordered. Had this barbaric burly man had any kindness to him he would have accepted false advertising and charged what his baord said the drink would be. He paid 6.10 and drunk up. Manners should be paramount. I live local and have never this sort of MIS service. He was wearing a white shirt, surely not the bar manager? I am feeding back and shall expect nothing back. You will lose trade with man banging glasses aggressively and looking so darn moody.
- Andrew (10/5): I don’t travel much up, by far, one of the best hotel stays I have ever had! - I booked a comfort double room, and it was much bigger than I expected. Very nicely furnished, and presented. Cleanliness was very good. All the staff I came across were very pleasant, and helpful.
‘Full English’ breakfast was delicious! Nothing. Everything was good.
- Anne (10/5): Excellent and comfortable - The comfortable ambience Nothing I didn’t like but would be helpful to ah e advance notice of where the car park is, as it’s a bit complicated
- Karen (10/5): Relaxing, quiet, comfortable, great food will stay again! - Everything beautiful room great location Nothing it was amazing
- ABC622014 (10/5): Had a great 2 night stay here - My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights. Great room, great service, great food. Perfect postion to visit Ledbury. Will definitely stay here again.
- garywN183AG (4/5): Chewy Bread - Earlier today, we decided to have a light lunch and ordered two soups, accompanied by bread. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing.
Soup Quality
The soup served was notably thick, resembling the consistency of porridge. Additionally, it lacked flavour and was not particularly enjoyable.
Bread Quality and Handling
The bread was partially hard and chewy, which led me to suspect that it had been taken out of the freezer and microwaved. I approached the waitress and requested bread that had not been microwaved. She returned with bread that was hot, which raised the possibility that it was either freshly baked or, more likely, microwaved again from frozen. The latter proved true, as the bread was still very chewy.
Suggestions for Improvement
It would be beneficial for someone to speak with the chef regarding bread preparation, to ensure that microwaving from frozen is avoided in future.

- Carl (10/5): Would definitely like to stay here again it had everything you could want and it was a beautiful period property you cou - This is a beautiful extremely old building with all the original features. It was an absolute delight to walk-through and admire the decor.
The bedrooms are comfortable well equipped and beautifully decorated and dressed in keeping with age of the property No negative feedback about our stay
- Diana (8/5): Very good base to explore an interesting area. Pity we had bad weather - Lovely old inn, well preserved but comfortable . Great food and pleasant staff Bed was too hot, could have done with a thinner quilt
- Kevin (9/5): it was fine - breakfast good
dinner good but could have been excellent
- Adam (9/5): Excellent - Breakfast was lovely, the location was fantastic. Room was a little warm but that's to be expected in the height of summer
