Guest Reviews
- Mitchell (10/5): - Cozy comfortable nice view we weren't disturbed.
- Joseph (1/5): Terrible Never stay again - No sheets or bedding for futon
Could not call anyone for check in or out
Said sleeps 4 The futon barely fit 1 and was broken down
No TV or radio or clock
Deck was rotten
Spider webs in slider door and it was broke
No bathing soap
- Guest (1/5): Awful - Showed up just before 5p, couldn't find staff anywhere. My husband tried to go to the first manufactured home to knock, slipped and fell on the ramp. They don't answer the phone after 4p. Found a resident that was able to call a staff member because we had no idea where to go. The staff member forgot her key to the office so we were told we'd get a key to the cottage later... Never received one. The doors are just open to the cottages. No TV's. We weren't given any information about wifi or anything else. Everything is broken in the house. Don't waste your money, just go to a hotel.
- Palomino (7/5): - Check in wasn't complicated eventhough I got there after 10pm There was a huge hole in the deck due to dryrot close to the front door
- Wendy (6/5): Location is great, but cottage needs work. - No TV, no smoke alarm, no bedding for pullout bed, which was very uncomfortable, no TP, and the glass siding door does not lock.
Check-in was smooth and the location is great.
- Mark (1/5): Not worth staying at this place. - By water Bed had no linens and just box spring’s and mattress . Mattress and cover were stained and looked like had been slept on like that. Not sure there were pillows and only one blanket. Very strong fish Oder in fridge every time opened it it filled the place . We didn’t stay and just drove off. Couch was dirty. Packed between rv’s. Should have taken pictures but just took the loss and drove off.
- teresa (8/5): Cool view - quite location - Quite older crowd Everything was good
- Blake (4/5): Short and sweet - It was inexpensive It was run down and not taken care of
- Michelle M (8/5): Breathtaking view and excellent staff very helpful - The cottage was good except fishy smell in kitchen, after a while just got used to it. The bay was nice had a great fire in the pit I loved the sunset 🌇 considering price for overnight lodging great valve will be back
- Shannon (8/5): - The cabin was comfortable but was a bit small. Some paint chipping inside but in decent condition. No thermostat control but had a fan and heater provided. Nice partial view of the docks and bay. Road in was a but difficult in need of repair.
- James (10/5): - No Tv in cottage, i believe there was one in the lodge across the street but this was perfect for a quiet evening with spouse for some good quality time together and no distractions or interruptions.
- Lyrita (7/5): It was ok - room was fine, fairly comfortable. supplied with cooking and eating utencels There was no one at the check in, just a phone number. When I called I go no answer just voicemail.
- Jean (1/5): Bad - I waited an hour and a 1/2 to get checked in to my cabin and no one arrived to check me in. Do to that I couldn't stay there I made other arrangements. I will check my credit card to see if they Try to charge me for it.
- Mary (2/5): Avoid this one! - This place has no business being on hotels.com. It is a long-stay trailer park. It has a beautiful location along the river; however, the rest was so bad we didn’t stay. The “hotel” unit was a rundown trailer that had an oily puddle in the middle of the kitchen floor. It smelled of stale cigarette smoke.
- Mikala (3/5): The ghetto if it had a campground - I grew up in the area. It is devastating to see the condition of such a once great campground! I sure hope
Maintenance goes into this. Our bed wasn’t made, laundry left behind, bag of garbage. Left from cleaning.
3 different ladies for check in, asking us to fill out registration for the second time. No communication among staff
Smoke alarm wouldn’t stop beeping due to battery needing replaced.
Concerning that so many spaces seem
To be for long term rental. Looks trashy, run down , unsafe roadways, docks , railings. This place should be checked on by the county
- Caroline (8/5): - Beautiful location on the Nehalen River. Registration booth looks neglected, but the building we stayed in was an entire small house! Very clean. Spacious. Fully stocked kitchen. Very comfortable.
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lawry (1/5): Deplorable conditions. DO NOT RENT. - Absolutely nothing, falsely advertised, and disgusting. Completely infested with ants and they get in to absolutely everything you bring inside with you. In your luggage, in your shoes, crawling on your charger cables, you'll even wake up in the morning with them all over you. We first noticed the ants before we went to bed, in the bedroom window, crawling all over our charger box and cables, didn't know what to do as it was past 10pm and we were not prepared for relocating at that time. Hindsight, we should have slept in my car. It would have been so much better than what we woke up to. DO NOT BRING BABIES OR CHILDREN HERE.
Secondly, the pictures on the listing are NOTHING like the actual rental place, very very very misleading. It also has RVs right up against both sides of the rental. Which the pictures do not show at all. Stay far far far away from this entire RV Park.
Our spring break vacation was ruined by an infestation of millions of ants, that this property owner is very very aware of, but desperate enough to not mention it. This forced us to cut our trip short so we can go home 2 hours away just to get all the ants out of everything we brought into the rental with us.
This place needs to be condemned.
- Maryrae (6/5): - Great view.
- Brooke (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the view! it was cozy and , really nice staff . it was perfect The bed was super squeaky
- Lori (4/5): - If you’re fishing it has plenty of that. The RV sites are so tight you can’t put out your awning or you’ll hit the camper beside you. Parking is tight. The rentable cottage does not have heat they provide little space heater. The futon bed has metal bars that made sitting and sleeping difficult. The bed squeaked and squeaked so bad that every time you rolled over every one knew it.
- Paul (5/5): Very reasonable price and was fine for 1 nights. - Water view was nice Over crowded
- Elisa (10/5): Just what we needed - Ease of check in, friendly staff, beautiful views Everything was great!
- John (7/5): Everything was good just need it new blinds and a TV so we can have something to do and watch - Great location close to the shore Need a new blinds that were broken and a TV with cable
- Thomas (8/5): - Great view and quiet location. Also the cottage was great; excatly what we needed for a short visit to the coast.
- Alexander (8/5): - No swimming pool as picture shows in the website
- Travis (2/5): - There is a serious break down in communication with any of the employees. The number provided was called numerous times with a reply. We went without adequate linens our first night. The fire alarm was chirping all night. It is extremely frustrating not to be able to reach any staff at all.
Many of the amenities listed didnt work including the stove so we couldnt even cook our meals. Again tried several times to speak with a staff and no answer or reply to voice mail. WILL NOT STAY HERE AGAIN
- Nissa (8/5): - I think the amenities description should be updated. Maybe it is different post COVID? We had a great time. The space was great for little weekend getaway.
- Matthew (4/5): Ok if you wanna sleep on the cheap - Liked the price and there was a bed and kitchen No television, and nobody there to check us in for hours
- Rollin (4/5): - Old and in need of much repair
- Ingles (5/5): Passable -
- Hanna (7/5): Good -
- Hanna (8/5): Very good -
- Grant (2/5): - Spa and pool didn’t work, notes asking to bring own linens and limit water, heater didn’t work, broken trim, no TV. Fridge was filthy on the outside. Asked us to clean dishes
- Hanna (8/5): It was peaceful and I loved it - Beautiful sea and everything Nothing
- nicole (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay and the staff were great.
- Jurgen (9/5): Superb - Spacious trailer. Very clean Too many noisy dogs.
- Jana (4/5): - Although the staff/owners were very friendly the property itself was very misleading. The trailer that was listed as a cottage needed a lot of repairs. There was an area in the kitchen that when you stepped on it it sunk in. There was an area by the door where the flooring was coming up. There was a spot on the deck right outside the sliding glass door where it was rotted through creating a hazard that was covered up by a rubber mat. Most of the blinds were damaged and needed replaced. They listed as part of their amenities that there was laundry facilities but neglected to tell you that you needed to pay for your laundry. In the laundry area, there were only 2 working washers and 1 running dryer, however the dryer didn’t dry anything really and we had to hang dry our clothing back at the trailer. The paper that was given to us upon check didn’t communicate the same things that were posted on their buildings. I will say that the view was beautiful and that the residents and all the people staying there were extremely friendly. But overall there is a lot of things that need to repaired there before I would ever consider staying there again let alone recommend somebody staying there.
- Harris (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (5/5): decent but nothing special. - It was overall a good place to stay. Silverware provided plenty of forks but only two spoons.
- Flor (9/5): Superb - The place made me romantic. It's very good I don't like it because it has several holes in the windows, and you have to cover them with something.
- Matthew (10/5): peaceful, tranquil, pleasant. - clean blinds need to be replaced or curtains need to be added for complete privacy, needs wi if available
- Carrie (9/5): Superb -
- Carolyn (8/5): Very good - Loved being so close to the water. There wasn't a TV in our unit.
- Colleen (4/5): Disappointing - This place is run down.... No Paradise was found.... Blackberry bush growing on our deck....No TV... Very poor internet..... Pool full of leaves..... Very expensive place to stay offering very little in return most things
- Norma (7/5): Enjoyed - Good Location In a number of places nails were sticking out
- ROBERT (8/5): - Every part of this stay was excellent, and I will go there again.
- Amy (5/5): it was nice to get away from home, most likely will not return unless it’s improved! - quiet and friendly it was advertised that there’s a pool and hot tub along with a game room and I found the property to not be kid friendly due to lack of activities for kids. the common room had only large puzzles and no games.
- Ronald (10/5): - Was delighted to find it was like a little cabin with a full kitchen. Very nice.
- Joy (6/5): - Situated on Nehalem Bay with awesome views. Very clean inside but could definitely use some minor repairs and outer upkeep. Kitchen/dining are nice. There is about 12 inches of space to move around all sides of queen size bed so a little cramped in the bedroom but otherwise a comfortable bed.
We stayed there as a convenience to visit nearby relatives but for the price we might look elsewhere next time.
Very nice hosts.
- Danielle (2/5): - This place is dirty! Nothing was cleaned from dirty floors and baseboards to cobwebs and dirt on the walls. This is not an exaggeration.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The view, out the front window, was beautiful.
- Jerome (10/5): - Me and my wife loved everything about our stay even the other people thete were nice
- Michelle (4/5): - Everything seemed to have started off quite nice. The woman who checked us in was very friendly and courteous and we appreciated that.
Then, we got to our accommodations & to say the least... we were a bit surprised. The property is advertised as a cabin but it is actually a single wide mobile home. It is a pretty small space with a bedroom, bathroom, living room area & kitchen area. When we first walked in, the place smelled like dead fish. Our first impression of the space is that everything needs a thorough cleaning. A couple examples of this are when we grabbed an extra pillow from the linen closet, the pillow protector had blood and a hair on it. The refrigerator door is covered in rust spots, the walls are dirty and marked and the carpet in the bedroom is disgusting! I told my husband that I would have to get into the mindset of camping because this place is one step above tent camping.
I do have to say that the views out of the windows are breathtaking. Where this place is situated is so beautiful!
I would love to stay here again if I was assured that everything had been cleaned top to bottom.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Wonderful place to take a shower -- if you're homeless.
- PATTYJO (8/5): - It was bay view and you could walk down only a few feet to fish or crab or just relax
- Rosa (2/5): - The pictures on Expedia are nothing like the reality. They had us put towels and sheets in a bag
To be washed, and they never came by and got them. No Tv or a/c. The sliding glass door had no lock. The cabin was much smaller than appeared and run down. Definately not staying here again
