• Cheryl (9/5): Went during Iris weekend. It was lovely. Barbie, at front desk, was delightful. Cleaning lady was ch - I'm diabetic and could not find protein. But coffee and cream was fab! The air fan in the room was loud and kept me awake at times.
• Shonagh (6/5): Beautiful facility; services seem to be lacking - The building itself is spectacular; a member of the Historic Hotels of America group. I chose this hotel based on 2 things. I was driving between 2 cities and (a) this was a good place to stop overnight. While it cost more than I normally spend, I was happy to see that (b) the breakfasts were excellent as I don't stop for lunch when travelling. Sadly, excellent breakfasts no longer exist. They are not only out-sourced to a connected third-party cafe, they are only subsidized. I got a credit of $7 toward breakfast. As a latte was $6, the cost of the egg mcmuffin sandwhich was mine to cover. In addition, the cafe has a religious theme - all the artwork and the music was in the name of our Lord. Which I found to be totally inappropriate. While the facility is impressive, the cost for what goes with it anymore is not.

I was traveling alone and felt completely safe throughout my stay. I also enjoyed a delicious dinner and drinks at Brumley's — such a great way to end the day! No real complaints but a full-length mirror would have been nice

• Mark (7/5): Worth a visit but not Sun or Mon - Charming old hotel with large, comfortable rooms, excellent bathroom facilities. Great bar and bartenders. The highlight was dinner--the bartender recommended the lamb chops and they were superb. The coffee shop for Monday breakfast was quite good. Sunday "breakfast" buffet was a collection of wrapped muffins which I didn't try. Restaurant was closed Sunday and Monday and the options near the hotel were slim. Staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable about the area.

Breakfast credit was helpful; Catalyst Coffee was friendly and fine. We will be back. Our first room was drear and overlooked lobby - not acceptable. Molly at the front desk changed us to a much nicer room and we are grateful! Need to be careful in future to book a good room.

Better than any continental breakfast at other hotels. My one suggestion would be to tell guests that on Sunday's they put out juice and muffins for the guests.
