Guest Reviews
- Inan (10/5): - Super
- tijen (2/5): - Terrible dinner service, we had to wait 1 hour to learn that what we asker was not in the menu . We had so good reviews about the breakfast and were presented with an ordinary food, when we said we were disappointed they told us they had forgotten to give us the rest of the food or that they could not serve what is usually on the menu 🙄 very very disappointing overall.
- Kent (8/5): A Three Star Hotel with Five Star Appearance - My wife was quite unhappy that for a hotel that claims it is taking extra pandemic preventive measures, it wasn't so clean. The light switches were filthy and most of the surfaces had not been thoroughly cleaned. This is a three star hotel that looks like a five star and charges five star prices.
The breakfast is fabulous, but on Saturday morning, they seemed unprepared for breakfast service. This may be because they only appeared to have one other room rented that night.
The staff were nice, but not service oriented, but the breakfast waiter and bartender were quite good.
The hotel is in a great location for visiting Gaziantep. They have free valet parking, which is good and there is easy access to your car.
I appreciated that they checked the temperature of everyone entering and the staff wore masks.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The property was very unique and romantic however there was a strong musty smell in the room, the bathroom door did not close properly, and the noise (mainly music coming from the restaurant terrace) was very loud. The food at the hotel restaurant was fantastic, I would definitely eat there again but would not likely stay there again.
- Hilmi (10/5): - The oldest hotel I have ever stayed in. Beautiful building and decor. Best breakfast in Turkey. Helpful staff. Arranged a very good excursion to Sanliurfa. Everything was good.
Özellikle Melike Hanım'a her şey için teşekkür ederiz.
- Footprints80132 (10/5): Service, style, and history - We stayed for three nights and ate at the restaurant too. The service was great, friendly without being intrusive, the food was excellent, and the wine list extensive.
The room was beautiful and extremely comfortable, while the courtyard was out of this world.
The history of the hotel makes it a unique place to stay and I can’t wait to go back.
- Osman (10/5): 16th Century Beauty - Perfect food and wine, perfect personal service and amazing rooms with mystical beauty.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Super Location, sehr schöne Zimmer. - Mitten im Zentrum, alle super freundlich. Die Zimmer sind absoulut Wahnsinn:-)
- nogayhan75 (10/5): Hisvahan built in 1577 - This is the best historical hotel and restaurant of Gaziantep. Hisvahan was built in 1577. Hotel has 10 spacious and well decorated rooms and a big restaurant. We were there for a big family meeting. The Chef Ali Bedri made a good presentation for us. He described how they prepare and cook seasonal local food. It was an unforgettable experience for us. Thank you so much... 👍👌🙏😊❤
- smiltte (10/5): Jewel of Gaziantep - We just recently came back from our trip in Gaziantep where we have stayed in one of a kind Hisvahan hotel. And without any hesitations I can say that it's one of the best boutique hotels in Turkey. We are hotel owners ourselves so we always try to choose something special and are quite picky about the details. Hisvahan exceeded our expectation in every way: the food was delicious, service polite and helpful, the breakfast nicely served and with a lot of variety, and the ambiance of the courtyard...mmm that was the best part. After a day of strolling busy streets of the old town it was a heavenly delight to have a cup of turkish coffee in a peaceful, beautifully decorated hotel's courtyard. With a lot of affection and love, this old, historical kervan saray was turned into a nicely preserved hotel and restaurant. Good job! We will definitely come back into this fascinating place just to immerse ourselves again into its magical atmosphere...
