  This is a family self catering cottage that sleeps up to 6 people in 2 bedrooms. The Norfolk Suite has a double bed while the Suffolk Suite has a super king-size and and up to 2 singles. The beds are the same Mattison Monarch 1400 that is used in the hotel and there are two private bathrooms upstairs and an extra bathroom downstairs. There is a fully fitted kitchen and a large lounge dining room with a 4K Smart TV. The cottage has a private fenced garden. Riverside Cottage is located in the hotel grounds behind the hotel and it can accommodate pets, upon request. A breakfast can be booked for GBP 10.00 per person. The cottage has free WiFi.

• Rosalind (7/5): Our overall impression was good, but this was mainly due to the excellent reception staff. - Reception/restaurant staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Ellie, in particular, was lovely. Breakfast was great with a fabulous choice of fresh fruit! We were in the annexe - it was a bit annoying to have to go back and forth to the main building across the road. When we arrived there were a few ants in our bathroom. A member of staff did get us some ant powder, but maintenance didn’t turn up to seal the gaps during our 2-night stay. The bed was rather uncomfortable which was a shame as that makes all the difference to a good, restful stay. Also, we were expecting housekeeping to be done and it wasn’t. Some towels were left in our room from previous guests and we were hoping they would be removed! (However the complimentary biscuits were topped up!)

They kindly switched my room to one on the river side, which I recommend as quieter but also lovely views of the river and surrounding nature. Very kind staff and great breakfast. • Robert (9/5): Exceeded expectations - Exceeded expectations, only needed a relatively cheap bed for the night, I was arriving late and leaving early, so no food involved. Hotel was in a lovely riverside location, my room and bathroom were warm, roomy and very comfortable. I slept really well and everthing was a minimum of fuss. Would use again if in that area. Very Little, maybe the signage for the carpark and reception could be better.

It was very clean, a great shower, tea/ coffee facilities in the room and a comfortable bed. Large towels and hand towels available. A warm welcome when we arrived and a nutritious breakfast was served, overlooking the River Ouse. There is a lovely riverside walk near the hotel as well which I really enjoyed after breakfast. I could hear guests in the neighbouring room. I thought duvet and throw on the bed were too light. Maybe have another duvet available!

When we turned up we was sent up the road to the accommodation (maybe the actual hotel was only for specific people) and when we drove in it looked a bit of a mess..walls fallen down and held up with wood,makeshift marquee with junk under it.then we had to walk through someone's garden to get to our room.the room was hot and there was no fan to use and I fell over getting into the shower because it was so slippery.but it was clean and comfortable.

The hotel is in a lovely setting by the river although our room was in an old house in an unusual setting across the river. The room was good with tea/coffe making facilities which is always a nice touch and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. The room could have benefitted from some sort of insulation between the upstairs and downstairs rooms. We were on the ground floor and could hear everything from the room above. Not helped by the people above moving about from about 5.30am!

Looks as if has been recently landscaped outside to take advantage of the beautiful setting it is in. The staff were amazing and could not go out of their way more to give us excellent service. We grabbed a late lunch on arrival - Nachos and was absolutely amazing !! others ordered the same once they saw ours. Breakfast was amazing Full English and was included in our rate. We will 100% stay here again when next visiting family in Brandon - keen to see the progress of the landscaping at the far extremes of the rear garden on the river, and if weather permits spend an afternoon there with the kids and have a few riverside beers!

The room was good and clean Inside the draws had not been cleaned with dirt and hair. The hair dryer was dirty and had a sticky substance on it.

• Rebecca (8/5): Recently refurbished annex is relaxed and lovely. - The owner went above and beyond to ensure I arrived safely, even talking me in for the last couple of minutes of my journey, and standing outside the entrance to the carpark. He ensured I knew where everything was and asked if I'd like breakfast although I'd booked on a room only rate. The room had recently been refurbished and was bright, clean, comfortable and had everything I needed. It was right on the road, so traffic did rumble past, and I kept the shutters closed for privacy. The floors were a laminate wood, which obviously makes them easy to clean, but I did wake up abruptly around midnight when my upstairs neighbours returned to their room clattering like a herd of elephants on their laminate floor.. I was visiting a school in Brandon, so needed to be close for an early start, this was the perfect location for me. The Annex is in a lovely mature garden, making it secluded and relaxed. Highly recommended. My only niggle was that there was no one on reception when I checked out. I rang the desk bell and waited, I could see two or three other keys had just been left on the counter, I had paid in advance, so with no bill to pay I gave up and did the same as the other rooms. I worked on a hotel reception for years, so I know what an important touch-point this is for guests to give feedback to the hotel. I just wanted to let them know I'd had a lovely stay, and I left a bit sad that I couldn't.

Breakfast was excellent, a good selection, well cooked and in a perfect, relaxed setting. Location, with views over the Little Ouse was excellent. Sockets either side of bed (very useful for over night mobile phone charging). There's always room for improvement, these two point are very minor and did not detract from our stay. Laundry supplies where visible from landing, in a room that should have had it's door closed. Ensuite inside door handle, worked ok, but, return spring broken. WiFi difficult to connect / slow (may just a bad day?) Did not seek assistance, as mobile data was fine.

• Robert (2/5): Disappointing. - Room was clean. Bathroom facilities were good. Staff were friendly. I stayed in the Cambridge room in the annexe. I did not sleep well at all. It is next to the road and every time a van, truck or bus went by the whole room shook including my bed. Add to the fact that it was so loud whenever anyone else entered the building I was waking every 30 minutes with a spike of adrenaline. That room should not be used as a hotel room. Not good enough.

• Hitendra (9/5): Channel 4 "4 in a Bed winner" :) - Good stay at the hotel. The owners were very friendly and made the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was a good quality and plentiful. Really enjoyed staying there and would go back. I noticed that they had a plaque in the breakfast room showing that they won Channel 4's "4 in a Bed". Given my experience, I understand why they would have won and think they should advertise that in the listings. Would benefit from a better wifi connection as i had to turn off the camera to save bandwidth when taking an early morning Teams meeting, but the connected smart TV made up for that.

• Terry (9/5): Lovely clean hotel, lovely location staff very nice - Lovely location next to the river next to a pub and good parking The room that we had was for four people and I would say the room was a little bit too small for four people. We had three people in the room and it was a little bit cramped and not much storage space for four people or in our case three

• Kristin (8/5): The staff was Amazing, they made the sta feel like home! The staff was exceptional - The location was beautiful and peaceful. Best part was feeling so welcomed by the staff. My only complaint would be the room size and the bed was a little hard on my hips.

• Gail (9/5): - Lovely hotel, we stayed in the annex which is dog friendly, lovely clean cosy room. The walk next to the hotel along the little Ouse is lovely full of wildlife our dog enjoyed it too. Check-in time, would've liked it earlier

Fantastic location for me geocaching in the area. I would certainly return if I am in the area again. Nothing all my expectations were met.
