Have stayed a few times in the past years. It is different than the chain hotels. Limited amenities but having a mini kitchen helps. There isn’t a pool but we have other options for that.

When I checked out today, 3/13/2026, at 11 AM the office was locked and I had to use the key drop. I also didn't care for a key to the room instead of a traditional key card used by most hotels. No maid service. My bad since they didn't say they provide it daily.

There is nothing I didn’t like about it!

- Kathleen (10/5): LOVE this hotel and will definitely be back! - Our room was spacious and QUIET! Loved the king sized bed and the kitchenette was perfect for our needs. Hotel is across the street from the river's edge with adirondack chairs, umbrellas and it's own private pier. Watched the sun rise from the pier with the dolphins churning up breakfast. The best amenity is the outdoor tiki bar/deck/grill area for guests to use. What a great place to enjoy the company of friends and family for a few cocktails or a cookout! No pool, but we wouldn't have used it anyway - boating and riverfront dining is much more entertaining! A hook or two over the bathroom door to hang towels - that's about it!!
- Jennifer (10/5): Marvelous - Steps away from the intercostal, you can’t beat the location. The neighborhood is very charming, nestled around older Florida homes and great restaurants. If you like to walk around, there is park nearby as well as a boardwalk. ( unfortunately it was a blistering 105 F with heat index so I couldn’t get the full experience) The room is very clean and there is a terrace where you can eat or just “ chill” a bit. I highly recommend this place!! Can’t think of anything. All good

Onze kamer was feitelijk een appartement met een aparte zithoek en een keukentje met magnetron, koelkast, glazen, borden en bestek. Het bed was erg ruim en sliep goed. Dankzij de plafondventilatoren hoeft de airconditioning (typisch Amerikaans met veel geluid) ‘s nachts niet per se aan te blijven. Het bereik van de wifi was niet overal in de kamer even goed.

The view was ok of river and had nice eating spot for two in front living area. With one bathroom and very small area, 2 adults/ 2 kids challenge for space/comfort Closets have nice storage and rooms with ceilings fans to keep them circulating. good location near boardwalk and close proximity to restaurants at night. safe and clean. Just needs some rennovations to modernize.The space was semi-clean but need to add dishawasher -dont want to wash dishes on vacation or get penalized. no room service during stay. probably not bookk again.

It was spacious, the grounds were charming and location was nice because it wasn't right on top of the noisy areas of the main streets. We were happy to have a larger refrigerator, the small kitchenette and living space to just relax. I have to admit that the bed wasn't very comfortable and I'd love to have more blankets. Additionally the air conditioner may need some servicing/ filter cleaning which I totally understand but it did create a bit of odor.

- Joseph (10/5): - Between the two main roads in Sebastian you get a nice quiet street where you can sit outside and unwind, while at the same time being in easy walking distance from all there is to see and do in Sebastian. The rooms are spacious and clean and well appointed for a relaxing stay. They have a private pier where guests can fish, sip coffee while watching a sunrise, or watch dolphins chasing a meal. Kayaks and bicycles are available for guests to use too. There is a tiki deck with a gas grill for guests to use with a pretty koi pond next to it . The grounds are well kept. Staff: primarily it's the owner, Kyle, doing everything he can to make your stay enjoyable. He does it all: desk clerk, room cleaner, maintenance man and more. We stayed for 10 nights and the only bad thing was that our vacation was over and it was time to go back to the daily grind. While we were there, we were thoroughly relaxed, felt safe and comfortable the whole time. Davis House Inn will be our go-to vacation accommodations in Sebastian from now on. We love it there.

Facility isn’t fancy but has all the character of the area. Our room was extremely clean and quiet. With a very comfortable bed. They provide bikes to ride on the waterfront which has a large and lighted sidewalk. Their dock and small beach area provides a great place to relax and view all that nature provides. We didn’t use their BBQ area but it looked very inviting. We wil go back. The toilet and tub/shower area is small/tight. However, the adjoining sink with dressing area is roomy.

- Emma (10/5): Amazing stay! - We booked for a friend’s wedding that was in the area, and getting to the hotel a little later than planned was worried we were not going to be able to check in. However, Kyle was already on it. We checked into our beautiful king room and was blown away with how pretty it was. It was stocked with everything we needed, plus some. The best part was, we could walk everywhere we needed to from this location as well. If we’re visiting the area, we will definitely be booking here again.

The furnishings are dated but everything was very clean. The location/view was also nice as we were across the street from the Indian River. There are many restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The furnishings are dated. The TV in the bedroom was exceptionally small and the one in the main sitting area wasn't much bigger.

The kitchen amenities were great with coffee, cream, and sugar available. The dining table came in handy too as i had some sewing to do! Of course the ironing board got used for that too! Didn’t get much use out of the couch and living room tv but it was a welcome touch! There was also a smaller tv by the bed which was great for unwinding and watching game shows! My only critics are that the bed was very firm, which started to affect my sleep on the second night. Also the bathroom was a bit cramped with the door opening into the shower and toilet. Overall a lovely stay local spot to stay! 15/10 recommend for a costal getaway!

- Brian (10/5): An excellent stay with a private dock right in front of the hotel - Large rooms! My wife and I came to wait out some weather on our kayak-sailing trip. We had originally been considering another nearby hotel, and were weighing the advantages and disadvantages of the two. Davis House certainly looked like the nicest option in town, but it was 1 mile walking with the kayak. We reserved it anyway, only to find that they have a private beach with dock (and kayak dock) right in front of the hotel! It was amazing! Of course, as other reviewers said, the stay was wonderful. Quiet, comfortable, and you can tell that the owner has a lot of attention to detail in the little amenities in the room. The cleaning staff was friendly and happy - all signs of a well run organization. We couldn’t be happier. We even had an issue with the Wi-Fi due to the inclement weather, and Kyle brought us a cellular based router to use in the room to bypass the issue. 10 out of 10 for sure. I uploaded a photo so you can see how close the hotel is to the landing beach. I wish I had known this in advance because I would have reserved here without hesitation! Completely satisfied.

- C3653RVjeffr (2/5): Horrible. The owner, Kyle, is extremely rude - Horrible customer service. On Priceline it boasts 24hr front office which APPARENTLY is NOT the case. Arrived late, around 11pm and office was locked. Called the number and Kyle, the property owner said he'd come down there "right away". 30 minutes later he arrived and greeted us and the nice couple sitting outside their room with an insanely sour attitude like he was a 7 yr old child who was being forced to do chores when he didn't want to. As he proceeded to check us in, we asked why there would be a 3.5% charge for a debit card when online it said there would only be a charge when using credit and he slammed our card on the counter and told us to leave because he wasn't going to deal with this at this hr. We apologized that we were checking in so late but we're informed by Priceline that the desk was open 24hrs and showed him a picture of the booking where it said that, he took a picture of the site, snatched the card back and continued to belittle us for asking a question about the booking telling us we were wrong. I've never felt such disrespect by the OWNER of an establishment simply for being there. NEVER again will we come back to a place that treats us that horribly for merely trying to check into our room. Captain Hirams is right down the street and is an infinitely better choice to stay. Thanks KYLE for all the "hospitality" you offered. What a nice human being you are.
- raindust74 (2/5): Treated very badly by owner - Booked this hotel due to reviews about friendly staff and was very disappointed. Booked on Priceline, which stated there was a 24 hour office. We arrived around 11pm after driving 1.5 hours to get here. Office was closed, doorbell was broken. My boyfriend had to call the number on the front door for service. We were greeted by a very rude man who said he was the owner. He did not even attempt to hide his displeasure at our late arrival, stating, “if you read the website, you’d see the office closes at 5 pm” and then pushed my debit card back to me on the counter when I questioned the 3.5% additional charge on my DEBIT card…. When the website clearly stated the charge was on CREDIT CARDS. He literally told me “I’m not dealing with this so late, take a hike” I stood there not knowing what to do and then proceeded to show him where it said directly on the website that the office was open 24 hours. He took a picture of my screen with such a bad and rude attitude. I understand if he believed the website said something different than what he thought it did, but how is that a guests fault? A guest that just paid $434 non refundable to stay at his property? If we hadn’t just driven an hour and a half to get here we would have stayed at best western or the much nicer hotel, Captain Hiram’s, just a couple blocks down. This owner was so aggressive and non welcoming towards us. We work full time and were trying to enjoy a very rare date night and this rude man treated us very poorly. DO NOT STAY HERE if you want to be treated well. Or at least expect to be treated as if you’re a jerk when you arrive late in a Friday night for check in. HORRIBLE experience. I felt awful the rest of the night.
