• Suzanne (10/5): A quiet comfortable stay, a lovely breaky and a friendly host. - A very quiet, rustic and rural environment Leon was a polite, friendly and kind host that ensured we were comfortable.He served a lovely fresh continental breakfast, with fruit, yogurt, juices and choices of varied cereals and muesli. Coffee and tea and cookies provided on arrival and also replenished during our stay. The fruit bowl was always full with seasonal fruit for us to have. Travellers can share a large lounge and kitchen, however bedrooms well appointed if you wanted privacy. Good value for money. Nothing was too much trouble for the host and ensured your privacy. Travellers ideally need their own transport as it is a little way from town. We booked the room with an ensuite , however some travellers have to share a bathroom.
• Robyn (9/5): Air BnB - Leon was an extremely pleasant host. Free coffee, tea, cookies & and large fruit bowl supplied for guests. The entire home was spotlessly clean and smelled great. House was warm. The rooms were spacious and the Continental breakfast was a large spread of quality branded choices. High quality bedding, linen & towels. We were offered a free upgrade from our booked shared room with 2 KS beds to an adjoining Q bed for one of us, to avoid sharing. I was travelling with my daughter so we declined, but appreciated the kind gesture. 💕 If l travel that way again, l would definitely book the King bed with ensuite. Away from the other rooms and looked spacious and beautiful. Bit hard to find after dark and quite far from my search area of Ballarat. Water pressure in shower wasn't great. Since learned that is not uncommon in that area.

• Ray (9/5): A surprisingly lovely overnight stay near Ballarat - We stayed in the bedroom with private bathroom for one night. The room was large, clean, tastefully decorated, and the bed comfortable. In addition, we had access to a lovely, shared kitchen/dining area and a large sitting room with outside views. All very nicely equipped and decorated. The homestead is set in lovely grounds well back from the road, so it is very quiet and peaceful. Leon, the owner, met us and showed us the property. He also provided afternoon tea and a lovely breakfast of cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit juice, etc. Nothing really but be aware that the property is in a small country village about 20 minutes' drive from central Ballarat. Facilities in the village seem very, very, limited so you need to travel to buy a meal or alternatively bring your own. You also need to appreciate that the kitchen and lounge may be shared with other guests.

Warm and inviting with fire place in the lounge. Bedrooms superb. I was the only visitor but if fully occupied the shared bathroom and single toilet.

The breakfast includes so many choices, which energize my whole day. The most important thing is the warmth from the host. He introduced Ballarat and its surroundings and shared a lot with me. This place made me feel like staying at home. I definitely will visit here again.

Though these were shared it caused no problems and there was an outside area, but we chose not to use it during this visit.

Wonderful older homestead,nicely furnished, central heating, fire in the lounge room, huge windows to take in the lovely garden and grounds. Breakfast was all set out in the kitchen as if by magic, lovely coffee brewing on the stove,and a perfect host. There was not a thing to dislike, I'd give it 12 out of 10.perfect.

• Kevin (10/5): - Leon the owner is an absolute superstar. So accommodating and can’t do enough. The property itself is beautiful and secluded. Just a short 15 min drive to local amenities and around 25 into Ballarat centre itself. If I’m ever in the area again, this will be the place.
