Guest Reviews
- David (8/5): - Brilliant location for the price. Buffet breakfast is good if you don’t mind the late-ish start (8am) and resultant queue. But can’t beat it for the price and location.
- Julia (10/5): - Such a lovely stay!
- Yin (8/5): - Good value for money for the great location
- Judith (10/5): - Dedicated kitchen for four rooms.
- Kate (10/5): - Great for a good price
- Kathleen (8/5): - Train from Heathrow to Covent Gardens was less than an hour and the walk from Covent Gardens to LSE High Holborn was about 5 minutes in safe area. Good central London location for a 3 day/ 2 night London sightseeing stay.
- Holly (4/5): - In staying at a 2 star property, I was prepared for a bery basic stay. What I was not prepared for was the incredibly poor maintenance and functionality of the property.
There was mold in every shower, the sink in my room was non fruntional, and when they switched my room I thwn had a sink with hot water only... no cold to rinse soap off my hands!
- Marianne (8/5): - Terrible mattress, but fabulous breakfast!
Great area
- Abigail (8/5): - The staff was very accommodating to store my luggage prior to check in. The stay was mostly quiet except for the hall and bathroom doors slamming in my own pod of rooms. Shower is its own enclosed cubicle in the hallway shared with a few other rooms, so its hard to shower and dry off when still standing in the water. Breakfast good.
- Michael (6/5): - Adequate accommodations. Rooms are small, bathroom and shower are shared by several others in the same area. Breakfast was pretty good. Location is excellent. Helpful staff. A busy student accommodation tower.
- Edward (10/5): - Nice, quiet and clean accommodation. Friendly staff and good quality breakfast.
- Jillian (8/5): - Overall a very good stay with areas for improvement. Breakfast included croissants, simple charcuterie, cereal, etc but no hot food options. Rooms are sectioned off with about 5-6 rooms sharing a bathroom and kitchen. I never had an issue running into other people using these facilities when I needed them. It would be nice to have options for women’s only sections, as some of the male guests left these areas unclean after use. The sink in my room was clogged and therefore unusable, and the towels provided had stains on them. But otherwise this was a very good stay. Great location with helpful staff.
- darren (10/5): - The rooms are very basic but are clean..no TV. Fantastic location. The continental breakfast was great.
Staff were very friendly. Will definitely stay again.
- Freya (4/5): - Honestly was a very questionable stay. Bed was not comfortable and shared bathroom was quite dirty. But the moment irritating part of the stay was the incredibly thin walls and getting woken up at 8am but the cleaners having a shouting match that lasted over an hour. Breakfast was quite crap too.
- Julio (6/5): - Most repair the elevators
- Kevin Jia Wei (8/5): - Staff were friendly and helpful, and I appreciate that they were accommodating when I wanted to leave my luggage there upon check out in the morning, as my flight departing from London was much later in the day. There was a reasonable spread for breakfast, which I also appreciate, and the room was clean with lots of closet space and power sockets for multiple devices to be plugged in for charging.
The restroom and shower is shared with all other nearby rooms, which is fine. My only small gripe was that the property uses motion sensors in the shower room but it cannot detect motion once I step into the shower - presumably the sensor is outside the shower. It got really annoying that the lights kept turning off when I was showering and I had to turn off the shower head, step out to move a bit before the lights turn on again, then step back into the shower.
- chiu (10/5): - The room is small but ok for 2 adults. 1 dresser, side table and a sink and 1 regular bed with 2 separate beds. Very clean. 2 Elevators. Soft beds with soft sheets and comforter. Comes with 2 towels per person. Shared kitchen in each section, with shared shower and toilets. The breakfast buffet is amazing. The only hot food is baked beans and oakmeal, but they do have a self prepared mini pancake maker that all you do is press the button. Tons of fresh fruit and fresh pastries, assorted bread, cold cuts, coffee, juice, etc. Would stay here again. The best location for buses and Tube. Tons of restaurants around.
- christopher (6/5): Great staff, poor organisation - Room assigned had no desk (despite it being a feature in my booking, and required
Staff were very responsive and helpful, quickly got me moved to a new, better, room with a desk
Queue for breakfast at 08:05 went all along the corridor, round reception, and back down corridor, a minimum wait time of 45 minutes I was told
- Nichola (8/5): Good value for money - Great value for money however the queue, and wait for breakfast was way too long and I gave up and went to Wetherspoons instead otherwise I would have missed my train.
- chiu (10/5): - could not say anything bad, except no air conditioning, just a fan.
- chiu (10/5): - great
- chiu (10/5): - excellent
- chiu (10/5): - excelleny
- KIRI (6/5): - I didn’t appreciate how bare-bones the experience would be. The bed was clean but hard, with just one pillow per person. The signs that said water from the sinks was not drinkable was disconcerting.
- Oscar (8/5): Very good - Perfect Location. Clean. I will repeat.
- Vanessa (2/5): - Never again!!
- Justin (10/5): Great budget option - Clean, safe, central - I needed to stay in London for a business meeting but as a hybrid worker it meant I had to pay for my accommodation.
The LSE halls of residence was excellent.
Reasonably priced, very clean, safe and secure.
It’s a university hall of residence so don’t expect luxury but this was a great option for staying right in the heart of London.
Definitely somewhere I’d stay again.
- BAHA (6/5): Not for professionals -
This accommodation is in a very good location and is very clean, but aside from that, it has none of the amenities worthy of being called a hotel.
The room is very small, with no kettle or any coffee and tea facilities. The shared kitchen doesn't even have a tea bag; it's completely deserted. There is simply no coffee available anywhere in this accommodation.
When I asked the staff for an additional pillow, they said, "Sorry, we don't have access to room service items. You need to wait until morning!" The common room is also dull and run-down.
Overall, it was a very unpleasant experience.
- Joseph (10/5): - Really great value. Expect the dorm experience but it is worth it. Amazing location walkable to everything. I strongly recommend. Great breakfast too.
- Jane (8/5): - I wasn't told that there is a LG floor lounge for comfort and tv. I would have used it, but only found it on check out when my luggage was stored there.
Please can check in staff advise, or a note added to the Wifi slip handed to guests on check in
- MACIEJ (10/5): All good - Location , clean with good service None - all good
- Robert (6/5): Standard student accommodation. No frills. - Standard student accommodation. Towels provided were tiny. Facilities very basic. Wouldn’t let me check in 15 minutes before the standard check-in time despite the room being ready, then when I came back in time had to wait in a line of about a dozen people. Could have been more flexible and use a little common sense.
- Sarah (10/5): - Very unique and great value. You are staying in a college dorm and the price is fantastic. Atmosphere is pleasant. Many older people. Lifts get crowded. Shower stalls are tiny if that’s a concern.
- Gihan (6/5): - The room was okay. Location of the hotel is great for solo travelers, safe and convenient. Except for Michael who is there at the night shift in the reception, the other staff were not friendly nor cooperative at all. The first impression that I got when I reached the hotel earlier than the regular check in time was absolutely terrible ( which I communicated to them in advance to try to consider, specially after a long flight). A young receptionist whose first statement was I am sorry I don’t know I just started working here last week and another receptionist with an uncooperative attitude ruined my first day in London and I was visiting for a short 6 days trip. I understand that early check in can not be guaranteed and is only based on availability- sitting in the reception for more that 12 hours I was seeing not less than 40 check outs and was only asking that someone from HK to clean one of these checked out rooms for me to check in and they were like we don’t allow early check ins .. you have a particular assigned room and when it’s HK turn to clean it we will let you know. Simply they lack hospitality attitude being a students residence. And finally when a senior receptionist showed up 11 hours after my waiting time he said we don’t offer exceptions for early check ins and that’s our policy. They should have simply messaged back when I first booked that and it would have been my call to either book and look for somewhere else.
Don’t expect hospitality - just a room!

Asciugacapelli a richiesta.
- Rommel (8/5): -
- Ivan (8/5): Perfect stay if you are fine with a student dorm-like accommodation. - Comfy beds. Location was amazing. Breakfast is decent for the price, you get a lot of options to choose from. Smell of fish from the sink in a room. Showers sometimes weren’t flushing the water, so you had to wait.
- Senami Angela Josiana (8/5): - It was really nice.
- Yara (10/5): -
- Ludovica (2/5): NON È UN RESIDENCE MA UNA RESIDENZA PER UNIVERSITARI. -
- Kathy (6/5): Fab room. Not so great check in - Fab room. Check in wasn’t great. It felt like I was an inconvenience to the person checking me in. Others were being shown around and advised when breakfast was served. I had none of this, the person checking me in barely spoke to me.
- Schacher (8/5): - I loved the room, there was a lot of space and it was really clean!!
The staff was amazing ans sooo friendly.
The location is awsome, you can be anywhere in no time. One of the lift malfunctioned a lot and that was a bit annoying but thats really the only thing that wasnt really good
- Rebecca Marnie (10/5): Great place to stay in central London - This is a great location for a stay in London. The breakfast was excellent, lots of fruit, vegan yogurt, oat milk etc amongst all the usual breakfasty stuff. Will definitely be back. Huge queue for breakfast which starts at eight. Be so much better with an earlier start. The breakfast was good though.
- Tabea (8/5): - Perfect location - I walked everywhere!
The breakfast selection is just incredible: a wide range of vegan options, freshly cut fruit, hot dishes, several types of yoghurts and cereal, and even a pancake machine!
I also loved the student vibes of staying in a dormitory. The shared shower was moldy and lacked some space to protect your things from getting wet while taking a shower.
- Ulrike (8/5): -
- Ashley (9/5): Fantastic budget option in Central London - Lovely staff, fantastic location, better breakfast than nearby more expensive hotels. Superb value for money. Not en-suite, which is always a shame, but toilet and shower facilities are clean (shower actually excellent). Breakfast runs until 11 am, which is great, but checkout should match that and weirdly is 30 minutes earlier (by 10.30am).
- Jim (9/5): Centrally located, reasonably priced, and a great breakfast! - This is a great place to stay, right in the centre of London, with typical student facilities, a really excellent breakfast, and reception staff who are very helpful. As student facilities with shared bathroom and toilet, it was clean enough. There was a long queue for breakfast - starting one hour (with more basic options for the first hour?) earlier would solve this problem.
- Maryam (8/5): Comfortable and clean but needs better breakfast organisation - The room was very clean and the level of hospitality was really good. There was a long cue for breakfast in the morning. It starts at 8 am which is a bit late for London.
- Paul (7/5): Good value for money - Room was clean, bed comfortable. Breakfast choice was excellent, but queue early! 7.45 seemed optimal. Toilets could have been cleaner.
- Vivian (7/5): Just right for a short stay at low cost. - The room was spotlessly clean. Bed was fine. Breakfast surpassed all expectations - so much excellent fruit from which to choose.
Easy long walk from Farringdon tube and the Elizabeth line service (no other tube lines in action). Shorter walk to theatre in Charing Cross Road. Much longer walk to Globe on South Bank but done in sunny conditions. Shower was cool (perhaps other users had all the warmer water) and the external seal and part of wall affected by damp needs repair.
- Lewis (7/5): -
- Guest (8/5): Bekvämt rum med fantastiskt läge - Läget, rummet, frukosten Priset, kunde ha städats oftare
- Ben (9/5): - Location for theatre.
Flat layout Wasteful use of paper plates and plastic cups for breakfast. We all have a flat with cups and plates that are washable
- Emma (9/5): -
- Reina (8/5): - The room was very clean and tidy. Lic ario was perfect in the center of London. Bathrooms were a little difficult to locate but overall with the price you pay I was highly satisfied!
- Nicola (8/5): Perfect one night crash pad when travelling through London - Brilliant staff, location and room perfectly clean The toilet on my floor was backed up. As I was only there from late at night to early next morning did not ask to have it sorted but it meant going to ground floor
- Magdalena (10/5): - A fantastic location to visit central and historical London. Great for the West end shows. Nice rooms with a shared bathroom, wich were clean and nice. Kitchen close to the bedroom. Tottenham Cout Road station just 10 minutes walk away. Perfect for a few days stay!
- olivera (10/5): - Lokacio..brekfast..staf was polait...and giving practikal informacion...good atmosfe...cloust to tube Holborn and Tottehgenncort.rd...New Oxford sr...British museum...

- Lias (7/5): Great location and staff, poor repair. - Great location, good breakfast, fantastic staff. Poor repair of building, bathrooms somewhat bad, too small. Bins being emptied at 5.00 am. was awful and woke me each morning. Some idiot had locked both bathrooms from the outside on level 3, I had to use something to get these open. The large shower to the left of the main lifts floods in moments so you need to get wet-turn off, wash-then swill off in two movements. Also extractors were not working.
- Laura (9/5): -
- Garin (8/5): Great option for solo travelers when available - Great value and location. Long line for breakfast.
- SHARON (10/5): - I had a very pleasant stay despite of being london for the first time, the staff was very supportive in settling me in.
It would just be better if they can have general instructions to access facilities in a common place
- Ronnie (8/5): - The location was great a short wailk to the theatres etc.the staff were lovely and the bed comfortable and clean.room was spacious.and enty sockets and storage etc.plua a large kitchen with everything you need Wasn't keen on the shower door couldn't open or shut right and no control over the shower and the shower head is too high couldn't adjust to height.to suit.i didn't take breakfast as it was awful waiting in long que crammed up in a hallway I decided to go for breakfast to wutherspoons.
- Jim (8/5): Great location, great breakfast, and exceptionally helpful reception staff - Very helpful reception staff - going beyond what they had to do. And the breakfast was amazing - it really set me up for the day. I plan to stay again - next time with my children! Nothing I didn't like. It was university accommodation - so that was reflected in shared facilities, etc.
- Jan (7/5): - The food was fine. They need to open earlier, they opened at 8am and there were loads of people waiting, the wait was excessive and some people had to leave to get to their events that day. 30 minutes earlier opening would have been sufficient.

- ANA BELEN (7/5): Muy buena ubicacion. Decente para poco tiempo - Desayuno Baño,
- Tim (9/5): -
- Sylvie (7/5): Nice modern building in a great location. - The location, more modern rooms and newer building than some other LSE. Breakfast was ok but much better at LSE Passfield. They offer a hot full English breakfast.
- Srikantha (4/5): -
- Guest (8/5): - Clean Perhaps expensive
- Virginia (3/5): - The location is very good. The bed is very uncomfortable, the sink works with an electronic system and water was coming out randomly in the middle of the night. The bathroom/shower could be cleaner.
- HEIDI (4/5): Average with below average shower - Bedding was super comfortable. Good location for what we needed. But. Street noise was extremely loud, even with windows closed, from the 6the floor. Shower was the worst experience. Shower head was near the ceiling and sprayed every direction and soaked the whole bathroom. Being in the shower was not refreshing and the shower streams were uncomfortable hitting my skin. Breakfast buffet had many options but was extremely crowded, with long lines and hard to find a spot to sit.
- Paul (10/5): - Very comfortable. Clean. Wonderful breakfast.
- CATHERINE BROWN (10/5): - An absolute bargain for the location especially if all you need is a place to get your head down. It is halls of residence standard so no frills but none were needed.
Also great to have 24 hour baggage drop and check in.
- Fuji (9/5): -
- Guest (8/5): The LSE High Holborn is ideal for anyone spending two or three days in central London. - Breakfast was pleasant and ample; location is great!
- Anna (9/5): Excellent location & breakfast - Great location and breakfast, awesome value for $. The shared bathroom and shower are only shared with 5 other rooms, not a big deal at all. Lovely building with comfortable rooms and helpful staff. If you’re a light sleeper and are not planning to wake up early, you might be bothered by the doors closing loudly.
- Eder (9/5): - Great breakfast, location and quality of the rooms.
- Joseph (3/5): - Although the location is good it is on a main road with regular traffic throughout the night. Noisy building works throughout the day
- Guest (8/5): - Picked this LSE accomodation because of the location, I was going to see a show in Leicester Square and it was nearby. I arrived a bit later than expected but the check in was really quick and the room was everything I needed for 1 night. The breakfast has a great selection and is really tasty! There is a water machine to refill your bottle and the suitcase storage downstairs was great as I had a busy day planned after I checked out and didn't want to carry it around. Comfortable area downstairs to work or study which was handy for me The only downside was that I had been told check out was 10:30 but the key to my room stopped working at 10am so a helpful and friendly janitor had to let me into my room after breakfast
- lorna (8/5): - Its student acomadation so not luxury. But the beds are nice, the room are decent sized, staff are helpful, and the area is fantastic for all the stufd is easy to get to and there is so much to do. For location amd price you cant really lose booking here. Only real down size is there is almost no chance you will ever get early checkin but thwy have a secured bag check so it doesn't really matter. I will be back.
- Guest (8/5): Did exactly what it said on the tin! - That it was within easy walking distance of the major hububs of central London. Doors could maybe adapted to prevent slamming
- Rosemary (6/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful Room reader battery wasn't working, so I had to leave the room unlocked if I used the toilet. Advised reception on departure not to allocate to other guest until fixed.
- Graham (10/5): - Breakfast was great
