- Lip Gang (9/5): Wonderful and relax stay! - The view is fantastic. The location is very strategic just a walking distance to the old street, so the room is very quiet. The host is very friendly and helpful. He always gives nice suggestion to us in planning our trip.

- Ondrej (9/5): Spacious stay with great views near Jiufen Old Street - The hotel is located right next to Jiufen Old Street, making it an excellent base for exploring Jiufen, its surroundings, and even Keelung. The property offers very nice views, with several observation decks around the house. The room was very spacious and well suited for short stays, with entertainment options such as karaoke. Staying off-season meant a quieter atmosphere overall. The staff was very helpful. The WiFi was very weak, unstable and did not cover the whole area of the apartment. The observation decks are open to all guests/public, and people can walk close to the apartment’s French doors and windows, which at times reduced the sense of privacy. The room lacked storage such as closets, which was inconvenient for a multi-night stay. Some of the equipment and furnishings appeared a bit worn.

We only spent a night but it’s a great self contained space for a family or even two. No full sized towels but there were some small ones that sufficed. Otherwise perfect.

- Osamu (4/5): 部屋の質に対して高すぎる - スタッフの笑顔 屋上からの景色 一泊6000円程度のレベル(≒1200元) 日本で言うシェアハウスのように、冷蔵庫、ウォーターサーバーのあるリビングのような部屋が隣の部屋の人たちと共用。そしてそのリビングのような部屋のドアが、監獄のような鉄製のドア。ドアの虫除けの網に穴があって、虫が入ってくる。 シャワーとトイレと洗面所が1つの部屋のタイプ。バスタブがあるものの、ガラスやカーテンのような仕切りがないので、シャワーの水がトイレのほうにべちゃべちゃとかかる。 東南アジアではバスタブがなくて、もっとべちゃべちゃなバスルーム(トイレと兼用)みたいなところがあるが、ここはバスタブがあるだけマシ、ということなのだろうか？ ごめんね、良い人だったんだけど。 価格設定が強気過ぎかな？(笑

- Swee Quin (9/5): - 房间浴室非常干净。我的皮肤很敏感，一旦床铺没有换洗就会感觉到很痒，但在该民宿过夜，我不会感觉到皮肤痒，睡得很好。屋主很贴心，帮我们买早餐，还留下字条交代事宜。 在该民宿可以看到很美的晚霞。 唯一美中不足的可能就是阶梯太多，在寻找该民宿时花了一些时间才找得到。

- Christy (10/5): Great host! Great View! Great Stay! - Welcoming and friendly host! He is helpful with information / suggestions. The breakfast + special local sandwich treat from the host is delicious! We enjoyed the great view from the decks at breakfast and in the evening. The room is retro and quirky. It has interesting artefacts from the family who has lived here since gold mining era. Room is clean and has every we needed. We like the space of the living room to hang out. Suggestion: perhaps useful to add English name to make it easy for English speakers to search. Perhaps "Jiu Fen Shan Yu Hai" or "Jiu Fen Mountain Island Sea".

- Huei-Yu (10/5): - The place was clean and well maintained. The host always answered my inquiries promptly. He was very helpful and professional. He also cautioned about the store hours so we could make it there with sufficient time before stores closed to avoid disappointment. There were only 4 hand towels in the bathroom when we arrived (we booked a quad room). I phoned the main office and the host explained it was due to some new hospitality regulations and what not. I didn’t really think that was the reason. But in any case. they brought up 4 large bath towels as requested without any fuss. So I have no issues there. I mention this just so anyone reading this review would be mentally prepared and not make a big fuss. This really is a great property. Book it and you won’t regret it!

The vintage Chinese room added to our wonderful experience exploring this old town. The gentleman running the hostel was ridiculously friendly. He gave us a lot of local tips and brought us iced teas in the morning! We highly recommend sitting on the rooftop with a beer at the end of the day and just take in the gorgeous scenery. I can’t recommend this stay enough!

- Douglas (8/5): Good place for small groups to stay and who are driving - This is a great little B&B with a two bedroom suite that has great views to the ocean - very comfortable for the two couples staying here. Also nearby to start of the nightime Jioufen area (just up some stairs. The manager was very friendly and even offers a service to go down to get breakfast as most things don't open before 10 in Jioufen It was very tricky to find - especially as we were driving (traffic can be bad in town) - it is on the side ride with the temple gate. Also we were given towels to use by they were tiny!

- Hwee (9/5): Good overnight stay to explore Jiufen/ Shifen - Traditional B&B with friendly host. Bathtub was excellent after whole day walking. Very near bus stop towards Taipei/ Ruifang direction. Few minutes away from the start of Mt Keelung hiking trail. Maybe a night stay is sufficient given the rainy weather in Jiufen when we were there. View should be excellent if the weather was good.
- Clara (8/5): Marvelous Stay at Jiu Fen - Extremely near 九份老街. We could drop by anytime and we didn't have to worry about leaving 老街 late. Bus stop near by to take bus to 瑞芳车站. We were given a room with 2 king size beds. Comfortable for 4 of us. Not much of grocery shop. So we could not buy vegetables or fruits except for convenient shops, which are pricy.

It was also raining and the host kindly brought our breakfast right to the door for us. There was nothing I would say I was unhappy with for the stay. The only thing I would say is that it was a shame that we couldn't appropriate the places amazing views due to the rain.

The view is just breathtaking and cannot even be compared with the view from Jiufen old street. Room is clean and cute with historical design. I do not recommend if you don’t like the insects. But it’s totally acceptable as the accommodation is located in the mountain.

An incorrect breakfast order was delivered to us. However, when I finally got hold of the host and showed him the correct order that I placed with him the night before, he quickly rectify the issue for us.
- Penny (9/5): Superb - The owner/host was very helpful and welcoming. Unfortunately, we came on a rainy evening, otherwise I can imagine the view to be very beautiful. The owners also borrowed us umbrellas, helped us with our heavy luggage, and prepared shoe dryers (which is very cool and useful) for our wet shoes. The check-in and check-out processes were easy and smooth too. The place was a little hard to hard so might need to contact the owner in advance for clarity. You have to climb stairs to get to the place (but the owner helped us with our heavy luggage so wasn't too bad). Also, would be perfect if the place had one more bathroom or even just a sink to use while others are using the bathroom, but for a quick stay with a beautiful view and reasonable price, it was already great

- Jenny (9/5): Cosy stay in Jiufen with amazing views and good location. - We booked the 2 bedrooms on level 3. Views from the balcony were amazing and the bedrooms + living areas were spacious. There’s a kids play area which my 4 kids enjoyed, as well as many cards, board games, mahjong, karaoke etc to entertain if you’re bored indoors. We loved the drinking station that provided boiling and cold water and little touches like shoe dryer/warmers. Owner was friendly and quick in response. Very cosy. Will stay again and recommend The bathroom was a little small and sharing amongst 7 people meant there was always someone waiting for the toilet. It would’ve been great if there were an extra toilet or having the toilet separate from showers.

- Kenny (9/5): Jiufen Shanyuhai homestay 九份 山嶼海民宿 - Wonderful sea view right in front of the room. Adjacent to Jiufen Old Street (3 minutes walk). Breakfast provided & were delicious. The landlord, Mr. Li, is very kind & very interesting to talk to. He voluntarily drove me around to many interesting places. The place a bit run-down, but such homestay with rustic feel is fitting for such old town

- YICHING (8/5): - 雖然是老平房但房間佈置的很溫馨,房間也很大間,跟照片一模一樣,也有很漂亮的景可看,但缺點是廁所一直有臭水溝的味道,洗澡水也很難調溫度,水會忽冷忽熱
- Yu-Hsin (10/5): 舒適的居住品質 - 客房乾淨，服務很周到細心， 天氣好時看山海景非常漂亮， 離老街走路一小段，晚上要注意來車 客房的插座比較少，需使用到客房外插座
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 民宿主人和藹可親
- Longjun (8/5): - small room but nice experience
- YN (8/5): 眺めがよくて、部屋の調度品などセンスが良い。 - 改装中なのか、他の棟の工事で騒音がマイナス。 グーグルの地図では場所が間違っていたし、英語表記と台湾語の表記をしないと現地の人に聞いてもわからず、ホテルの場所を探すのに苦労した。
