- Güney (10/5): Central, walking distance to everything, great hotel staffs - We were %100 satisfied with Hotel 57. That was our first visit to Sinop and they went beyond the call and started to help us by navigating the transportation options in Sinop before our arrival. That is a cute city, people were lovely and the hotel was central to everything we wanted to visit. Breakfast was quite nutritious. The best fish restaurant was one street far away, the coast is 30 second walk from the hotel, and our room view was historical Sinop castle walls which was quite romantic especially at the evenings. Only once, we used a bus to go Hamsilos, that was located out of the city. The rest were just walking distance from the Hotel. Hot shower was adjustable till boiling temperature, and thanks to that, Sinop's cold weather didn't make us sick. When our return bus was cancelled by Kamil Koç Turism without any reason. We had to wait many more hours till late evening and they kindly kept our luggages and offered delicious coffee. The hotel owner is lucky to have such employees such as Rıza, Görkem, Nurcan, Nurdan and so on. Many thanks to all of them. These kind of Hotel should be supported more by local government to promote the tourism of Sinop. I honestly tried to find something to criticize, but I could not find anything I did not like. The only thing I could possibly complain about is Sinop’s unpredictable weather, which is, of course, beyond the hotel’s control. :)

Mesela gündüz otoparka gir çık yaparsanız siz veriyorsunuz. Klimalar eski şahsen bizimki ses yaptı. Kahvaltısı gayet yeterli idi. Onun dışında ilgileri için teşekkür ederiz.

Spacious and clean room with a balcony. No cigarette smoke smell (usually it's abundant everywhere in Turkish hotels).
- Robert (8/5): Very nice staff - Staff were very helpful and considerate. Hotel was nice, in a great location. They covered parking costs, and were very willing to help and assist. At about 10:30pm, I wanted to wash up, but there was no hot water available. Apparently, it's shut off after a certain hour (9:00? 10:00?) In the morning, there was plenty of hot water, but the shower in my room was broken and didn't work at all. That was a drawback for me. But the staff was very apologetic. Aside from that, I would recommend this hotel.

The central location means it is somewhat noisy, not least from the bar directly opposite. The aircon was aimed directly at the bed so it was freezing with it on, and very hot with it off.

Our group had 2 rooms on the 4th floor at the back with open balconies. Room 405 seemed larger and had a nicer view but both rooms while basic were clean and reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was small. The towels could do with an upgrade as could the chairs on the balcony.

Everything was in good condition and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was good. Many restaurants and bars nearby, as was the old jail which was worth a look. There was a bayside promenade very close by.

- Wojciech (10/5): Good European standard! - This property represents good European level and is conveniently located just steps from coastal promenade and city walls and towers of Sinop. Excellent breakfast served from 7.30 am is included. There os a lift to the upper floors. The staff is very friendly and helpful - they prepared for me info on buses and helped to buy ticket on-line. Thank you so much for your hospitality and help! In the nice rooms there is a cattle to boil water and tea/coffee bags. But there is no desk to write on. Just let you know that the main bus station is like 7 kms away. There is public minibus going there (fare: 7 lira) but the timetable is erratic so allow a lot of time.

- molpet01 (8/5): Correct place for an overnight - Overall a correct hotel in the centre of Sinop. Staff is friendly, helps you all your needs. Nothing memorable, but also nothing to complain. The cleanliness wasn't perfect in the room, and the breakfast is really simple

- 740denizy (4/5): the worst deal of mine via a booking web page service/ internet üzerinden yaptığım en kötü anlaşma” - (+) Location and free parking (-) Charging 50% extra compared to normal price if you book through booking web pages We had our bookings via a well-known booking web page.The hotel was charged us 50% more than its normal offer, which you will get if you do your booking by phone. The excuse was that the difference is the commission of the booking company. However, this can’t be true as I have never paid more before by using the booking web pages than the price given at the hotel at the day of stay. Hence, I believe that the hotel owner cheated us. Thus, either book your room by phone or be ready to pay at least 50% more than normal room price. Lastly, the facility is aged and the breakfast is disappointment compared to similar hotels in Turkey. Birçok kez internet sitesi üzerinden otel ayarladım ve hiç pişman olmamıştım. Fakat bu sefer gerçekten göz göre göre kazıklandık. Telefon ile yapılan rezervasyona göre 48 TL daha fazla ödedik (oda fiyatının %50 daha fazlası). Kaldığımız gün müsait oda vardı, kesinlikle doluluk nedeniyle fazla ödeme söz konusu değil. Farkın, booking web sitesi tarafından alındığını söyleseler de bu inandırıcı değil çünkü bugüne kadar kaldığım hiç bir otelde kapıdan gelene verilen fiyattan daha pahalıya konaklamadım. Eğer başka alternatif varsa onu tercih edin derim.
- Essexlol-007 (8/5): Sound Base For Sinope - Looked at several hotels in the area and this was one of the cheapest(at reception). Its clean and modern, (perhaps a little sterile).Nevertheless its in a good location and the rooms at the back are NOT noisy, though I could imagine that the ones at the front on the lower floors are. The WiFi works well and the buffet breakfast is decent.
- CarolineSteenhagen (8/5): nice - From Amasya I backtracked to Samsum for 15YTL on a pullman bus and connected onto another pullman bus heading to Sinop for 20YTL. In Sinop I stayed at the Hotel 57, this is a very nice hotel, even better than the three star hotel in Giresun. I bargained to 40YTL a night from 60YTL. Free breakfast and fast wireless Internet included, also, a great place to get some Laundry accomplished in the room, I use the garbage bucket for a wash bin. Sinop is a nice, friendly town on the Black Sea Coast. During the time of late September the Black Sea Coast can be cool, but not cold, and rainy; I enjoyed the rainy, brisk coolness
- ArgentineTraveller6 (4/5): Yes, there is a loud disco - I stayed at Otel 57 in early May 2011. I had read the review on TripAdvisor about the "loud disco" and imagined (i) that it can't be all that loud, and (ii) my room faced the back, away from the sea (and so I figured the disco in question was probably on the water, so I'd be okay). Unfortunately, the disco IS in the back, and it is very, VERY loud. the disco is SO loud that the windows rattle. [I'm usually pretty good about being able to sleep, in spite of whatever noise there is. However, the pounding bass from this disco was WAY too loud to ignore. It kept me awake until it stopped at 2:00+AM.] Also, my Lonely Planet book (the March 2011 edition) said that a single room would be 40TL. They said that they had recently upgraded the rooms, and that they had therefore raised their prices. They charged me 50TL for a single, and this was "off-season" pricing on the Black Sea (Lord knows how much they'll charge when it's "full-season"). Bottom line: given the disco noise, the room is NOT worth 50 TL for a single.
- niall_johnson (2/5): Nice enough but be warned there is a loud disco out the back! - The otel is in the centre of sinope and handy for the restaurants and few sights but there is a disco bar that plays loud music until way past 2am. There was no warning by the staff and the night staff did nothing to help. They wouldn't move us and lied about the time the music would finish. I don't mind music and in fact am happy for people to have a good time but we are unhappy at the lack of knowledge beforehand and the unhelpful staff at night.
