• Ellie (10/5): Perfect three night getaway - The house was very cosy and suited 2 x couples perfectly. It was equipped well with a fully functional kitchen, a dining and lounge area to retreat to after soaking up the last of the sun on the deck. So close to everything and especially only a few mins walk to the cheese shop 🙃 The bed was very comfortable and super handy to have an ensuite for both rooms. Absolutely nothing.

• Jennifer (8/5): Overall, we enjoyed Furmston House. The kitchen was well-equipped. Felt very much at home. Great host who was very helpf - Spacious, comfortable and a very short walk to the Main Street of Healesville. Very loud plumbing noises when someone showered or flushed the toilet. Late night plumbing sounds emanating from en-suite bathroom disturbed sleep. Would have preferred different pillows on the beds as they were not that comfortable.

The location is sensational - walking distance to the Main Street shops, pubs, supermarket and coffee shops. There was nothing I didn’t like

• Krnjak (9/5): Great location, cute, clean and comfortable cottage with sunny outdoor dining area. Loved our stay! - The cottage was well styled and had 2 good size bedrooms with separate bathrooms. The back deck had a large outdoor dining setting and was north facing getting all-day sun. It was clean and functional. Great location within a short walk from the main street in Healesville with close access to shops, cafes and pubs/restaurants. The TV was a little small for the lounge room.

• Maree N (9/5): Fantastic “home away from home”-,clean, comfortable, convenient location in lovely surrounds - Breakfast we provided ourselves but there was a full fridge and freezer, well stocked kitchen with crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils and bbq along with plenty of bed linen, towels, tea and coffee along with everything else we needed for our stay for the week Only suggestion that would be more helpful was we mistakingly thought laundry appliances would be available at the house but didn’t realise they weren’t listed until on arrival. When we were staying for the week and it had everything else we could possibly need provided it was a surprising omission, but our little bit of annoyance was fixed by putting through a load at the East End Laundromat

• Brandon (2/5): Unclean, misleading and disappointing - The location was the only redeeming factor of this property. There were two core issues associated with our stay at this accomodation. Firstly, the images and accomodation title/description were misleading. At the point of booking, the listing was titled 'Furmston House & Studio' and when booking we did not have an option to choose between the House or Studio, so we assumed our booked accomodation would reflect the images and facilities listed (including the house with kitchen facilities). However, upon arriving at the accomodation we realised we had unknowingly booked the Studio. Upon review of a follow-up email from booking.com following the original booking confirmation, we noted the following in fine print: *Please note when booking FURMSTON HOUSE for 2 guests, you will have access to 1 bedroom only. When booking for 3 or more guests you will have access to the 2nd bedroom. Please check your booking and contact us if you need to amend. The fact this crucial point wasn't highlighted to us at the time of booking and only by way of a follow up email following booking confirmation/payment is misleading. The listing should be separate for the house and studio and the images should be reflected accordingly. The second issue was the overall cleanliness of the space. It was clear upon entry that the Studio had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival. The carpet had not been vacuumed (dirt, dead bugs and a fake nail were present), bathroom floor not properly mopped (hair from previous guests visible), and the bed cover had hair and stains on it. See attached images. We immediately voiced our concerns to the owner who mentioned this feedback would be passed on to the cleaners. Nonetheless, the remainder of our stay was extremely uncomfortable. To slightly improve the state of the room we purchased our own cleaning supplies. However it was highly offputting sleeping in a bed with stains.

Bed very comfortable Security camera pointed at outdoor entertainment area makes it uncomfortable to sit at and enjoy. If they wish to have a camera on the entry it could easily be placed differently to give guests privacy.

• Jonathan (8/5): Nicely decorated studio near Main Street - We booked the studio and it was Nicely decorated. Clean and modern. Room came with an attached living room and rear balcony, and we loved the fact that the Main Street runs parallel. Easy to walk down for dinner. Carpark lot was just in front of the unit. The heater was insufficient and it was cold at times. Thank God the owner provided electric blankets as well.

• Sharp (9/5): Fantastic location, great space to entertain and spend a relaxing weekend with friends. - Awesome location, stunning setting elevated amongst the trees. Great kitchen, entertaining space, suiting us well travelling as a group as it had two ensuites 😊 comfy big beds. Honestly it was lovely stay. Couple of minor improvements- couple of the dishes were stained or had old food/liquids stuck to it and were put away dirty. We also couldn’t find any tea towels in the Kitchen.

Only sofa looks straight into toilet or kitchenette. Worse thing for us was a lack of washing up facilities, the only option being the bathroom sink. I enquired about a bowl but no response. Cups had to be washed before using as thick hot chocolate residue in the bottom.

• Zak (8/5): Very good - Thoughtfully appointed studio making our stay comfortable. Good TV, Bluetooth speaker for music, decent wifi, coffee pod machine with pods, and central location in town. The neighbouring room had a few creaky floor boards close to the connecting door, which took us by surprise late at night as they sounded like they were in our room! Bathroom door hinges need an oil as well.

Extensively equipped kitchen and spacious lounge area with veranda. I would have liked to have laundry facilities.

• Rebecca (10/5): Cute, clean and spacious studio that is walking distance to cafes, shops and bars! - So much space! We had the Studio and it was spacious and really cute. There was a little balcony to sit out on, and a little seat and table set out the front. We were only staying a night, but it was a really lovely stay and the location was perfect, only a short walk to bars and cafes and shops.
