- mohammed (10/5): مميز بكل تفاصيله Distinctive in every detail - فندق مميز بكل تفاصيله طاقم الاستقبال رائع واخص منهم 徐邦国 Ellison Xu ساعدنا بشكل كبير وكان حسن الاخلاق والخدمة ، موقع الفندق بوسط المدينة بالضبط والإفطار كان جيد ولكنه يحتاج إلى أكلات اجنبية اكثر A distinctive hotel in all its details. The reception staff is wonderful, especially Ellison Xu. He helped us a lot and was very polite and helpful. The hotel is located right in the city center and the breakfast was good, but it needs more foreign food. الاثاث بعضه يحتاج إلى تجديد ، ورائحة التدخين في الغرف يجب أن يكون غرف لغير المدخنين ، Some of the furniture needs to be renewed and there is a smell of smoking in the room. There should be designated smoking rooms.

The lacking element related to the lack of English speaking employees, and the overly convoluted procedures established by management (want to use the pool, need a head cap. Want to buy a head cap and charge to room , need to call front desk who can’t figure it out, etc..). Same property in Singapore is a class above

The location was convenient and within easy walking distance from Black Tiger Springs. Our room had beautiful views of Jinan’s main city square park Quancheng Plaza. Mr. Xu at the front desk was super attentive and nice, and went out of his way to make sure we get all the help we needed. Yifan Wang and Ricky Wang at the concierge were also very helpful and pleasant. We would happily stay here again next time in Jinan.

Having the 7-11 right there was handy too. Room smelled of cigarette smoke (we were moved immediately after notifying reception). Limited toiletries (1x very small shampoo/conditioner/shower gel for 2 people = not enough), no bath gel/salts.

The pictures on booking.com had nothing to do with reality the hotel is old, the rooms are not clean, the staff can’t speak English, room service is bad, bathrooms are old and disgusting. The staff say they are going to do what you asked but they don’t actually do it. I do t recommend anyone to stay there under any circumstances it has nothing to do with a 5 star hotel in my opinion. The worst experience in my life

- Prun (5/5): Feel like staying at 2-3 star hotel , definately not a 5-star hotel - location is very good, center of the city. Breakfast is OK, variety of choice. I often come to Jinan for business traveling for the past 3 years even during Covid year. been stayed in most international chained hotels in Jinan. I can say that Shangri-la experience is the worst! I noticed on my room that "DO NOT DISTURB" because I have extremely important meeting. but then during my meeting, the housekeeper called to my personal phone number and talked to me in Mandarin. I told them I was on important meeting. She can just clean the room. Dont call me! I was confused because I already notice "DO NOT DISTURB" , and WHY housekeeper can have guest personal mobile number ??? why they can just anyhow call guest during weekday working time??? Worst part is when I as back to the room. The room WASN'T CLEANED !!! then why they called the guest??? why disturbing the guest?? at the end, they didnt do anything ! didnt even give the water bottle! When I informed the hotel manager , he clearly gave me "I DONT CARE, SO WHAT" attitude. I am not angry about room wasn't cleaned issue. but what I want to know is why housekeeper can anyway how call the guest on personal mobile phone? where is guest privacy?? The manager blamed the housekeeper that her English is not good. but you already should know the room guest is foreigner. and I spoke Mandarin to her. The management system here is absolutely a JOKE! (not housekeeper's fault) Seriously, there are many other better hotels in Jinan that offer service and price than here.
