• Yann (9/5): Top ! - Superbe logement, même si la clim du salon ne marchait pas très bien. Les lits sont très bien, on est à moins d'1km du centre de Port Douglas. La piscine est top. Il n'y avait quasiment personne en ce mois de décembre. Linge de bain fourni. Le digicode pour rentrer dans le logement, pas de stress pour les clefs ou le badge ! Un petit flacon de shampooing et de gel douche par personne pour 4 nuits, c'est un peu juste. Un peu de mal à comprendre où se garer et où se trouvait l'appartement.

• Sharyn (9/5): Pleasant location and staff. We had a freshly upgraded room so room was pretty fresh. - Good location and room size was great for our needs. Walking upstairs to third level with luggage. Otherwise ok for us but not so good for 80yo Dad.
• Sue (9/5): Loved this place. - This is a lovely first floor apartment, beautifully decorated and comfortable, nestled into lush garden. The location is brilliant, an easy 10-15 minute walk to the Main Street. There is a very nice pool with lounge chairs and BBQ area. Air-con, Wi-Fi and everything you could need in the kitchen as well as easy parking on site for the hire car. I needed help with the entry code and the communication with the owner per phone was excellent. The digital entry lock was a little bit tricky for me, until I got the touch. Apart from this minor issue we were all really happy with the place, so much so that we would definitely book again.

We book for 7 people (3 bedrooms and a trundle bed) and when we get there the trundle wasn’t set up, we came after hours so I went down in the morning and the owner was so rude and unkind about it. Wanted to charge me an extra $45 per night for additional sheets.

It wasn’t great value for mon - Good location and good sized unit The apparent was dirty it had just had a quick. The fridge , dishwasher were really dirty. There was crumbs under the furniture etc The kitchen bin was filthy

• Vicki (7/5): Port Douglas was a lovely place to spend a few days. - The location was great, only a 15 minute walk to the main street. On arrival our room was not very clean and we had to get someone to come in and do it again and did some ourselves. The appliances could do with an update, microwave and dishwasher rusty on the front. The timer on the dryer didn't work so had to hang around to make sure it was stopped. The washing machine went off balance so many times we lost count. The beds were very firm.
• Grant (10/5): - Very nice management, place was clean, quiet and felt like home within minutes Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and it had stove top and inverter oven so I could cook my own meals if I wanted Pool is really big and there are two big bbqs poolside if needed. I’ll definitely be coming back

• Shireen (6/5): Good value 3* near centre of Port Douglas - Location was great - just a few blocks to the beach, centre of town and cafe strip. Easy to walk everywhere inc the marina. Rooms were clean though dated and in need of a refresh. Pool was a good size though in the afternoons there can be a bit of a jam for space on the lounges. Nice little laundry are in the apartment and a drying rack was included for bathers to dry on the patio. Stairs up two floors - no lifts. Request ground floor if you have large bags / bad knees. Little maintenance issues - microwave didn't work, lights needing repairs or cleaning, shower mould.

Loved the balcony surrounded by palms - It was a little confusing when we arrived as we went to the main reception at the front of the resort. We didn't realise that the car parking mentioned in the instructions was behind the first building and reception at the front of the resort. It was half way down Beryl Street. Once we spoke to a staff member of the resort who directed us to the other car park, we found the apartment easily. Digital keypad for entry at front door was very convenient. No keys required.

Staff were super friendly and more than accommodating, as they went out of their way to help us out on arrival and upon leaving. Units were great, although the cleaning could have been more thorough on arrival. There was rubbish still in the bins and the base of the bath wasn't all that clean.

We had a hire car but did not use it in town at all as we love to walk everywhere. Secondly, the managers are so friendly, helpful and accommodating which made our weeklong stay very pleasant. We had a three bedroom renovated apartment for our family of two adults and three teenage boys. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beds were great, we had a full-size fridge & appliance which were great for self catering, a washing machine and lots of room for everyone to relax. We had undercover parking on site which was great to be able to park in shade on hot days. Our apartment had a lovely outdoor area that was private and secure. The apartment worked brilliantly and was used non-stop during the day, we relied on fans at night (our preference) and stayed cool. And then we come to the pool – it was a highlight of our stay! Large, clean, with lovely tropical plants around it, it was such a great place to cool off on a hot day and even to have a swim after dinner as it is open until 930pm. The spa was slightly warmer and lovely to sit in when the bubbles were running. Highly recommend Central for an affordable, comfortable apartment close to everything that you need. We would definitely stay again.

The furniture was really lovely and there were so many finishing touches that made it an enjoyable stay. The pool was beautiful and the location to everything was perfect. Easily walk or drive to restaurants and the beach, and really easy to get out for day trips. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was really quiet overnight. We cannot wait to come back!

The fans in the living area would not work on the appropriate speed settings, there was no functioning window in the 2nd bedroom, and the exhaust fan in the internalised bathroom wasn’t working. The apartment was superficially clean, however, the dirty underpants found under the curtains in the 2nd bedroom were consistent with the lack of the rigorous approach required. 4 days later, I have yet to hear from the on-site manager as promised. So, overall, disappointing.

Apartment was really spacious and with all the facilities that you might need. Bathrooms are large as well and the balcony is quite nice. Cleaning was ok but not perfect, especially the floors. Natural light was really missing as the apartment, at least our at ground floor, was quite dark. Needed to turn on the lights almost the whole day.

Toilet seat wouldn’t stay up for males. The water for the spa bath was only just warm as there wasn’t enough hot water to fill it.

• John (8/5): - Spacious apartment, no issue with facilities. One important negative though, but it is easily corrected. The hotel told us, both in writing and verbally, that the Captain Cook Highway was shut most of the night. This caused us a lot of stress as we arrived late. It is not true.

Was well .equipped Was very tired, really needs a complete refurbishment/freshen up, areas of our room could do with a really good clean. Window sills needed vacuuming to remove dead bugs and dust, lingering odour in the apartment. Managers were very helpful. Provided us with candle and room freshener to deodorise.

• Arlene (8/5): - The best thing about this apartment is its great location. Our family could walk everywhere we wanted to in Port Douglas - the Main Street was just 10 minutes away. The place itself is a little worn, but it is clean. They provide enough laundry detergent to do a couple of loads of laundry. They also provided beach towels which we appreciated. The kitchen had the basics to cook meals. Overall, I’d recommend this place due to the location and the extra space.

Grab rail by the spa bath because the shower was over the bath, not separate though the second bathroom had a walk-in shower. Very noisy because there were so many other tenants, especially Saturday night. Dark unit on the ground floor.
