• Jennifer (9/5): Modern spacious gem: Hot spa, with all home conveniences. - Location, spa, immaculate new & modern, clean facilities, packed with appliances, utensils and conveniences, an iron, washing machine, washing line with pegs, comfy bed, blinds on every window, easy to use shower with a tall head on it (important to my husband), garden setting, quiet Perfect for couples (as we were), but the 2x single beds, double bed & lounge area all in one open room, so not ideal for families imo.

Terrasse pas nettoyée (envahie de feuilles mortes°) Le BBQ n'a pas du être vérifié , cat les precedents occupants l'ont laissé sale . J'ai du le nettoyer avant son utilisation. Quand je quitte un hébergement , je nettoie toujours très correctement le BBQ

• Lilith (10/5): My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this location, we will definitely be back again. - Great, quiet location. Rotorua is about an hours drive and for those interested in Hobbiton, the drive is roughly an hour and a half. The house itself is easily accessible and has great privacy. Beautiful views from the pergola and overall an amazing atmosphere and place to stay. Huka falls, Huka honey hive, Wairakei Terraces and Thermal Pools, Craters of the Moon and the local supermarket and restaurants are all within a 10 - 15 minute drive. Loved the location as you get a great feeling of privacy and quietness while still being close to the town. Shower pressure was not great and the enclosed shower is quite small. No dryer also makes it difficult to have clothes dried during the wet winter months. There is a washing line provided along the back of the property opposite where the spa is which on a good day does dry clothes well. There is also a small clothes airer provided which is helpful for very small amounts of washing to be dried however if you are using the spa or going to local hot pools, you go through towels rather quickly and they can take a while to dry when the weather is cold and wet. A trip to the laundromat may be needed if you plan to stay for a while during winter. Aside from these few things, the amenities provided were excellent and clean.
• Sherman (10/5): First class accommodation with beautiful hill-top gazebo, area alive with birds! Great 2 nights. - The location was extraordinary, beautifully landscaped with hill-top views from the gazebo. Birds were lively and sounds amazing at dusk. Our stay was short, in and out, but accommodation was comfortable, well appointed and equipped for a longer stay. Good house instructions. Drive to town was short. Highly recommend. All was good. A dish drying rack and ice tray would be handy.

Lots of warnings, rules, regulations (noise, neighbours etc) and potential for penalties which detracted from the experience.
