Guest Reviews
- Philipp (6/5): - Sehr freundliches Personal. Stilvoll eingerichtete Zelte.
- Rachel (7/5): - Excellent location, superb staff and good food! Paid way too much for a tent with no facilities!
- Rene (3/5): Absolut schlechtes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Traurig!
Fiel also komplett aus.
- Fooe2 (8/5): Did what it offered very well. - Pakulala was the least expensive accommodation on the craters rim and did what it offered well. It gets very cold at night and the provided hot water bottle ensured a good nights sleep. The bucket shower system provide sufficient water for a good shower.
- John (10/5): This was the perfect and position for me. - Absolutely perfect position and the staff were amazing! Nothing.
- Davide (8/5): Very good - We loved the location above the crater and the camp staff was exceptionally nice and attentive The agency, which is located in Spain, was not so responsive to our requests.
The price is very high.
- Rafael (6/5): Amazing Location but not very comfortable - Incredible location on the rim of the crater, very attentive staff, good food. Tents on the smaller side, not all that comfortable, no running water requires asking the staff to fill up pitcher by sink and bucket for showers.
- Anjali (1/5): Disappointed - Location and staff It was pathetic in terms of amenities. I paid 3800 dollars for 2 room 2 nights. ..there was no heater no hot water no proper lights no wifi . Food was very bad . The amount of money taken doesn't even justify 10 % . . It seems they are not even paying staff properly. Staff was very good but what they can do when owner only wants to cheat with customers. I pity the staff. I request all to never go at this place . Never book this place ever.
- Derek (9/5): Superb -
- Alasdair (4/5): Lovely camp, terrible unsafe safari - Location
Staff Cold
Terrible, unsafe safari from East Africa Camps
- Jose (10/5): Great option for visiting the crater. - The camp sits at an enviable location, with an amazing view of the crater. The staff received us very eloquently and our tent was very posh. In my view, a little overpriced. Still a tented camp.
- Sarah (10/5): Ngorogoro Excellence Late and Early 🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘 - Undeniably there is a reason for the praises! Margaret is the ultimate hostess, managing a wonderful and dedicated team. Ngorogoro Caldera View is Kweli Kabisa absolutely true! Punda Malia Zebra wandering about camp, within the park, the park stepping out of your tent!!! Ngorogoro Caldera soooo close. Official entry to the park previously permitted, lovely lunch box… Big 5
- Morag (2/5): Very poor -
- Rebecca (1/5): Not as advertised- toilet did not work. - On arriving, the scenery was very impressive with views over the crater and the camp appeared as advertised The toilet in our room did not work. We advised staff of this and it was not fixed. Unfortunately during the stay I became very sick and the combination of this with no working toilet or running water was a horrific experience. The other issue was that we were told not to leave our tent at night without assistance from a camp guard as it is very dangerous with animals roaming in the area, we were assured they would be available 24h. There were no guards around throughout the night I was sick and my husband had to go and get water from the main tent which could have potentially been very dangerous.
- Michael (10/5): Very nice camp on the Crater rim with lovely staff & good food - The camp is located right on the Crater Rim with beautiful views of Ngorongoro Crater. Ideal for an early start into a Ngorongoro Crater Safari. We had a lovely stay: Margaret did all in her possibility to make our stay beautiful & special - from coffee & snacks, to placing a hot-water-bottle into our beds before going to sleep, to organizing us a Ranger to accompany us on our Crater Safari. Isreal was also very funny & friendly and served us during meals. All food was really delicious - especially dinners. The lunch box was also delicious - one of the nicest we had. We can really recommend this place and had lovely stay. Reservations staff was not very helpful & friendly. Value-for-money could be a little better. The camp is very expensive, although the tents are rather simple & not as luxurious as other camps running in similar price ranges.
Overall would stay here again though.
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional - We arrived here at the end of a particularly busy safari day. This place was above and beyond what was expected and the breathtaking view from it makes this site very impressive. At night, antelopes appeared near our tent and the experience was perfect.
