Guest Reviews
- Colm (8/5): - Location was excellent. Room small but clean and tidy. Liked breakfast. Staff very friendly. Good value for money. Maybe provide shower jell. Hard to complain considering cost if room.
- Otter (6/5): - Relatively cheap. The hotel is centrally located. The room was ok, twin bed, different height. The breakfast was good with a full.irish, but coffee is instant only. Overall, it has a sort of charm. The room was small but adequate. The hotel.itself is dated.
- Rory (3/5): Budget accomodation but looks like there's been no effort to keep the rooms in even functional - It's central Room had holes in the walls, the words "Fuck off" carved into the wardrobe doors and again on the wall, and damp stains on the ceiling.
- Marie (10/5): Our stay in Clonmel - The hotel was very clean, cosy and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again.
- Thomas (5/5): -
- Olaf (9/5): - Nice staff, hall decoration and low price. The place would look better after wall paint and some renewal but honestly I didn't mind that for a short stay. Anyway I recommend.
Any small stool/chair would be good to have in the room.
- Helen (2/5): Lovely staff and management - Traveled for a First Holy Communion. Hotel opposite the church. No receptionist on duty, a lady from the bar was covering both. This girl was friendly and helpful. The room was very small, with two single beds, both comfortable. There was no remote control for the TV in the room and one could not be found. There was tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom;- well where do I start. The space was tiny. The shower unit was held together with glue, the toilet was clean, as was the wash basin. The shower head was leaking. There was plenty of hot water. The carpet in bedroom could do with replacing. There was dust everywhere.
Breakfast;- no selection of juices, just squeeze orange juice in a carton. There was no cereal, until the last person came in for breakfast. There was a burco boiler in the dining room, the kettle had to be filled from this, to make tea/coffee. The toaster was a simple household toaster. The burco, kettle, and toaster were plugged into an extension lead. The choice for cooked breakfast was bacon, sausage and egg, that was it. The waitress was very accommodating, she made delicious scrambled egg, when asked for it.
The bar, kitchen and waitressing staff were so nice and friendly.
Having said all of the above, the proprietor was so accommodating, when we asked if we could leave our luggage for an hour after checking out. This was a real bonus for us, as we didn't have a car.
Would I stay again, probably not, but if I did, I would know what to expect. The tiny bedroom and bathroom. The idea of a burco boiler in the dining room, and having to fill an electric kettle to boil the water, with no drip tray underneath the tap of the boiler.. Three electrical appliances plugged into an extension lead, a real health and safety hazzard.
- Daniel (4/5): One small step above a hostel. - I liked the location centrally in the town and along the way to other destinations. I liked how easy it was to find. I did not like the size of the rooms or the state of the rooms. There were holes in the wall and the bathroom was inadequate. The tea kettle couldn't even be filled with water from the sink. The room was dirty.
- Macko (6/5): Satisfactory & value for money - Location & staff Old fashioned room
- Helen (7/5): Lovely place to stay for a visit to Clonmel - Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff.
- Breconi (10/5): - The breakfast was fabulous and the staff were warm and welcoming
- Claire (9/5): Best hospitality - Wonderful hosts ,who gave a lovely story of how they came to own the hotel .This hotel is unique with a charm of yesteryear .Ceiling roses were beautiful and the stained glass windows telling the story of Lir.I would definately stay here again ,great value for money , breakfast included in the price and breakfast was so tasty
- christopher (1/5): Avoid a complete disaster - Absolute disgrace this place is I booked over a week ago paid and everything I show up to this place they say they have no bookings under my name showed them proof then they say they gave the rooms to the homeless and they overbooked and had the cheek to tell me to come back to them the next day and they'll give me a discount I had to find another accommodation which cost me twice the amount I paid for this place plus they were only going to give me my refund in parts thankfully the new accommodation was significantly better but at a price which shouldn't have been the case I would have been on the street otherwise, avoid this place at all costs never have I dealt with an accommodation that is so incompetent and the owner didn't even have the guts to face the heat had to let their employee take it all
- Kieran (3/5): - Not a lot apart from the breakfast We booked a twin room (2 unrelated male cyclists) and were told that only a double room remained, despite us booking two months ago. The poor receptionist couldn't do anything and there would be no manager there before 11am the following day (by Which time we would be gone). In short, they didn't provide what we paid for. Another couple who arrived later in the day were told their room had been given away and they would have to look elsewhere.
The bathroom had not been cleaned and there were no toiletries provided.
I am certain we will get no compensation for this as they seem an abjectly incompetent outfit who just want your money
They simply cannot be trusted to honour a booking and should be avoided at all cost
- Elaine (10/5): - Staff excellent food superb 👌 Nothing
- Steve (9/5): All good - Nice staff, good breakfast
- Adam (10/5): -
- Donatas (7/5): - All good Close to main street
- Shirley (7/5): -
- William (9/5): William ni - Location nothing

- Katie (10/5): Brilliant - Everything and everyone was great Their wasn’t anything I didn’t like
- Helen (3/5): - Staff are nice. We were told at check in that our bathroom had a drip and no other room was available, when we came back that night after a concert, the bathroom was flooded, my stuff got wet and the carpet was soaked, no one was on duty to complain to.
- Óscar (2/5): -
- maura (7/5): - location TV in bedroom was broken/cracked screen , which was disappointing in a hotel
- Matthew (8/5): - Friendly staff and clean room and facilities. Location is nice and central.
- Caroline (8/5): - That the small room have only one bed not two. Found it too small room. That a railing for the towel in the bathroom and not on the radiation radiator all cracked up.
- Danylo (8/5): -
- Shane (6/5): -
- Sawyer (8/5): Breakfast was delicious and good portion size! -
- Kalle (9/5): - Breakfast brilliant, center of town can't be better locations For me, my friends everything perfect. For business men this stay probably isn't good enough
- Patrick Barry (8/5): Nice - Very convent , quite . No complaints
- Maher (1/5): Bare able only stayed one night ,and the reason was we traveled for hours to go to a family occasion - Nothing Everything especially the cleanliness!!!!
- Seamus (5/5): - Friendly receotionust at check in. Very small single bed.
Window didnt close properly.
TV did not work.8
- Costin (4/5): -
- Eoghan (7/5): - Value, location, clean, as expected Breakfast starts at 8, 7 would be ideal for travelling before work.
Kegs being unloaded for pubs at half six outside window. F all they can do about that but if you're looking for a lie in it's not ideal. Handy if you forget your alarm though.
- Carol (3/5): -
- Mattlegg1992 (4/5): Cheap and old hotel but did the job for 1 night - The lady at breakfast was an incredibly friendly person and cooked the breakfast to perfection. The hotel would have been scored a lot less if it wasn't for her The pillows in the room were horrible, the curtains barely blocked any light and the shower could have had either a hotel bar of soap or a soap dispenser like most other hotels. Small changes
- Mark (8/5): -
- Tom (8/5): -
- Anne Marie (8/5): - Warm and clean lovely staff great breakfast
- Paul (10/5): Comfortable, Clean, Enjoyable. - The staff were excellent.

- Condon (1/5): Horrible - So bad Everything
- Paul (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): - The whole hotel really needs a revamp!
- J O' Shea (5/5): Staff very helpful and breakfast good - Stayed here many times so know the score It quite obviously needs a revamp, it has a nice old worldly feel to it

- Martina (10/5): - Comfy beds. Clean room. Yummy breakfast and all the staff I met went above and beyond to make your stay great. The lady at breakfast was wonderful. The ladies I met checking in and at the bar were amazing. Felt like home there. Location was perfect and the bus service around the corner was great. Highly recommend 👌
- Peter Mc Dermott (10/5): - Grand place , very nice staff. Great location , excellent breakfast All good
- Alissa (7/5): -
- Helena (1/5): Horrorhotel pur: ein absolutes No-Go!!

- Prue (7/5): Cheap and cheerful - This is definitely a budget hotel, but it was in a central and convenient location, and the staff, particularly Jacinta in the breakfast room were cheerful and friendly.
The rooms were very small, so 2 suitcases were a tight squeeze, but the beds were comfortable and gave us a good night's sleep. The bathroom was pretty clean, but perhaps some major work needs to be done on the presence of mould in the shower.
- Michael (10/5): -
- Lea (5/5): -
- Pip (8/5): Fantastic introduction to the lovely Irish people and culture. - The actual facility was pretty old and needs to be upgraded but it was clean. The staff were fantastic. Friendly, helpful and so welcoming. Nothing was a problem. Would stay there again It is very noisy outside at 6.00 am every morning with the street cleaner. It's not the Hotels fault though. As said above, it is really old and needs a lot of internal work.
- Lally (1/5): Avoid - Location Dirty. Mould on ceiling. Mattress was worn and uncomfortable. A lot of noise from street and other rooms. No onsite parking.
A lot of dust in d room.
Avoid !
- Alan (7/5): - Fine for a one night stopover
- Campbell (5/5): - Pros: Location, cost, comfy beds and clean bed linen, lovely staff. Cons: breakfast freshly well cooked but very little choice of cereals, juices and no accompaniments (mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, beans, hash browns etc). Bathroom door couldn't be closed or locked. Toilet brush fell apart each time it was used. Constant dripping tap that couldn't be silenced.

- Stephen (8/5): Great value in the heart of Clonmel - This is a great small hotel in the heart of Clonmel within walking distance of everything in the town. The value for money here is very good. Hotel itself is a little old fashioned but that might be a bad thing. Breakfast was a small selection of cereals and cooked - more than enough and generous. Beer well kept anyway! Everything worked so perfect for a place to put your head down. Could have filtered coffee in the breakfast!
Place needs a little TLC perhaps but again for the price one can over look
Beware there are stairs
- Edward (10/5): - Clean room, excellent hospitality and staff are very friendly. Great Breakfast.
- Philip (8/5): -
- Fred (5/5): Heel slecht - Het ontbijt Alles
- Tom (5/5): - Cheap Friendly staff and nice breakfast Building is dated and in need of refurbishment
- James (9/5): -
- Noel (5/5): -
- Stephanie (8/5): Lovely. - Eclectic and cute No one on site as far as I could tell after bar downstairs shut down
- nicole (4/5): -
- Sabrina (1/5): A fuir !
