• Rakia (8/5): - Hôtel très correct rapport qualité-prix Le directeur est disponible et gentil Le personnel également. Le petit déjeuner est appréciables. Le lieu est très mal desservi en transport en commun, la voiture est indispensable.
• IKUKO (6/5): - The location of the hotel was near the beach but it was really quiet place so I had a time to relax! There are several shops in 10-15min, including 2-3 supermarkets, glossary stores and cafe etc. Staffs were very friendly!! I stayed at the annex a week later and the facilities were nicer. It might be depends on what you seek for your stays:-) I like both.

Sinon, excellent rapport qualité/prix.

• kathleen (8/5): - We were stranded in Athens by the airline. Flight was canceled and the reps said “you’re on your own. All hotels in Athens are booked. Look on Google for something possibly on the coast”. Found this little gem. The front desk people were so friendly and welcoming. Even though the small hotel was not the up to the standards we are used to in the states, the staff made up for it. They called us a taxi early the next morning, and opened up breakfast an hour earlier than their normal hours. We are very thankful we found these amazing people in such a stressful situation. Thank you!

• Jason (8/5): - This was a last minute reservation for us the night before a flight out from Athens. About 30 min from the airport. It was clean and did the job. Walking distance to the local restaurants and night life. Some light construction on some of the floors, but overall not an issue.

• Beryl (6/5): - Contrary to what the name implies, the hotel is removed from the sea by a one-and-a-half block walk on a dirt road. Also, while Expedia lists it as an airport hotel, it cost us 100 euros to go to and from the hotel. The facility is pleasant enough with a nice pool and an engaging, helpful staff. The room could benefit from a hotpot and water. The water is supplied at an additional cost. They were able to arrange a ride to the airport (that cost 40 euros). The driver showed up late, refused to deal with our luggage, and insisted that we stop for coffee on the way to the airport.
• Päivi (10/5): - Ihanan rauhallinen hotelli, ja hyvä uima-allasalue. Hotelli hyvällä paikalla, kaikki tarpeellinen kävelymatkan päässä. Oltiin uudessa hotellissa, sängyt oli tosi hyvät nukkua ja ilmastointi oli tehokas. Pieni miinus aamiaisesta joka oli lähes samanlainen joka aamu.

• Harry (10/5): A pleasant short stay - An overnight stay before airport departure early next day. Allowed us to check in early and arranged for transportation to airport early next morning. All in all a very pleasant short stay - wish it was longer. A highly recommended hotel close to the beach and restaurants

• Jonathan (8/5): Decent, but not great one-night stay - Overall, this was a decent one-night stay. The shower head was not functioning properly and the quality of the hotel was a little dated. It was also about an hour from Athens.
• Axel (6/5): - Es war nicht das, was das Profil des Hotels versprochen hat. Das ist zwar sicher grundsätzlich richtig. Aber derzeit wird alles renoviert oder neu gebaut. Viele Einrichtungen des Hotels stehen nicht oder nur eingeschränkt zur Verfügung. Vor dem Haus türmt sich Baustellenabfall.. Das Restaurant war nicht geöffnet. Und im Neubau war vieles noch nicht fertig. Es ist ja gut, wenn renoviert wird. Aber das sollte der Gast doch vor der Buchung wissen, damit man sich darauf einstellen kann.

Un nouvel établissement ouvre lundi, l’hôtel actuel va être complètement rénové (c’est nécessaire. Je tiens à féliciter Nikos Batsoukis, le manager pour son dévouement et son engagement. Vous pouvez réserver tranquillement, le nouvel hôtel est top( je l’ai visité.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Opción barata pero algo desfasado - Necesita alguna actualización pero la habitación es cómoda y el personal es muy amable y es una buena opción para explorar la zona de Nara Makri, nosotros fuimos para el Ironman de Marathon y estaba 5 minutos de la línea de meta. La zona está en obras ahora pero pudimos aparcar sin problema.

• Dan-Henrik (4/5): OK for one night - The hotel has seen it's glory days but the landlady was terrific 👍👍👍 The neighborhood looked like a construction site (demolitions and houses soon to be demolated) but a 2min walk and you were dovn at the marina with lots if restaurants. However it was close enough to Athens airport and to catch our morning flight... and the price was right.

• Anya (10/5): - My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and we couldn’t recommend it enough. It’s a lovely place that is a few minutes walk from the seafront, where there are plenty of options for food and drink, all the Greek food we had along here was divine! The staff in Thomas Beach are the friendliest and kindest people we met. The owner helped us to travel to Athens, which is very easy (ignore Google and talk to the locals!!). The breakfast had everything you could ask for and although we didn’t use the pool, it was clean and looked lovely. We would definitely head back if we were back in mainland Greece

For those who haven't been to Nea Makri,here are my thoughts on the area: - weather and sea / swimming experience is great (not too hot except for 12-2 pm, warm and clean water,no big waves) - cafes and restaurants are nice but a bit expensive and the food choices are limited - Athens in general look a bit run down,Nea Makri is better than average but still not a luxury type of place. In conclusion,if you are after great weather,swimming in the Aegan sea and some quiet time with your family for a reasonable price (except for some restaurants),it can be a good option

• scott (8/5): Breakfast was wonderful, way beyond continental. - Booked this hotel last minute – all the streets around the hotel are under construction, getting to the hotel was a challenge. Hotel was not very full, so we got a 4th floor room, which was nice because only the 4th floor really offer a seaview. Room was fine but the bathroom needed work – such as the shower was missing one of its 2 doors, missing floor drain grate, etc. Breakfast was wonderful, way beyond continental. It had a nice pool, but we didn’t use it.

The most friendly hotel staff in the world. My family and I felt safe and comfortable in this hotel. We will always come back to this hotel when in Athens area. Thank you!

The only thing I was not thrilled with, was the ugly three story hotel across the street their back side of that building was poorly kept. If you want best see view go floor 4 or 5. The beds were a little soft for me. (personal choice) Great pool and wonderful courtyard. Close to beaches and lots of food places and marina within a block or two

We were let down by our first hotel choice and it was lovely to find a great replacement and such short notice. Convenient for the airport and out of the hustle and bustle of Athens, yet close enough to visit. Everything you need is here, breakfast choices were good, there is a pool although we didnt use it and it is clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend, great value for money.

• Jennifer (8/5): ood budget option - excellent pool and breakfast - Warm welcome and friendly owners/staff with good level of English. Pool is large and clean. Breakfast excellent with wide range of options. Room was a little tired (shower patched) but very clean and fine for our pre-airport stay. We had never stayed in Nea Makri before but we liked it - it felt very Greek rather than touristy - especially the range of restaurants and cafes facing the sea on the strip which becomes pedestrian at night. The street the hotel is on looks shabby, but felt safe, and proved to be a good location - 2 minutes to the sea and restaurants in one direction and 5 minutes to the main shopping street and excellent bakery in the other direction. We would stay here again.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Thomas Beach Hotel. It is family oriented and the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The location was central to other restaurants and shops and also half a block to the beach. They also offer umbrellas and chairs to take to the beach if you should so chose.
