• Boris1969 (10/5): Hôtel parfait pour Amboise et ses environs - Nous avons passé un formidable séjour. Le personnel est formidable, l'endroit est très calme, les chambres sont confortables et on s'y sent très bien. Bien sûr, il existe des hôtels plus modernes et mieux équipés, mais c'est l'impression globale de confort et de bien-être qui nous fait mettre un 10 à cet hôtel. La rapport qualité / prix entre également en compte, puisque pour un prix très raisonnable, les prestations sont formidables. Rien.

Our room was well appointed and very spacious and was reasonably priced. The hotel is so close to everything yet just a few blocks away so it feels like a quiet retreat. Most importantly the front desk staff was so helpful with any questions we had. We had the breakfast twice and it was great quality.

• Tourist177799 (10/5): Our stay at Le Manoir Saint Thomas - This hotel is beautiful! It is located just a block walk from Chateau D'Amboise and all the great restaurants and shops. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable accommodations and spa-like bathroom. The breakfast was very nice and the sitting areas, including the bar, were very cozy and intimate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this charming location to anyone visiting Amboise.
• Kenneth (8/5): A lovely B&B well located in Amboise - Its a quaint 9 room B&B. Breakfast was typically French - not a memorable meal. Location was great. Room was spacious and quite comfortable. Bathroom was modern. Parking was convenient and easy to access. Had an elevator, which was nice for luggage. Two out of three of the employees at the front desk were fabulous. One woman was professional but unwilling to go out of her way. The other two were willing to do anything - above and beyond!

Staff was so accommodating providing recommendations for restaurants, activities, offering a delicious breakfast daily. The room had recently been redecorated in the royal French style with a large modern bathroom.

• Stay52148998073 (10/5): Lovely Stay - How were your hosts at LMST? Charming welcome and friendly staff happy to help. Made a dinner reservation for us once we had, cheekily, decided that the weather wasn't suitable for their Manoir Table presentation. How clean was LMST? Outstanding standard of cleanliness in both our room and the common areas. Couldn’t fault it all! What were the facilities like at LMST? Excellent. Lovely bar/common areas and plenty of free parking with charging points (if you are electric). Situated about five minutes walk for the centre of Amboise so just where you really want to be. How did you sleep at Le Cep? Fab bed, peace and quiet so an excellent night’s sleep! The room (superior) was on the ground floor which was a plus for us. Spacious and very well equipped. Lovely bathroom and great décor in a French traditional style. How was breakfast at Le Cep Excellent! A very full and quality continental spread priced. Eggs can be cooked any style but (constructive criticism) this needs to made clearer as we missed it. Freshly squeezed OJ not supermarket rubbish! Would you stay here again? Definitely, although we felt somewhat unfaithful to our other Amboise favourite L'clos de Amboise but it turns it that they have common ownership which set our minds at rest. NB L'clos de Amboise has an excellent restaurant and is only two minutes walk away. LMST only does breakfast and the aforementioned summer offering. All round great value and a lovely place to stay in a beautiful Loire Valley ancient town.

It was clean, the decor was impressive, the food served and playlist at breakfast was delicious, varied and pleasant, and the staff was professional and kind. If I'm in Amboise again, I will book a room at Le Manoir St. Thomas for sure.

• 550markg550 (10/5): Perfect spot in Amboise - Wonderful quiet location, with private parking and grounds + pool, all a five minute walk to the main street and castle. By European standards, our room was huge. The staff is super friendly and fluent in English - which is a big help.
• Kendelle (7/5): Really nice, perfect location but a little bit refining would help really bring the hotel back to a gold standard - Location was great, bed was comfortable and the grounds are fantastic. It was a lovely stay but a few things that we felt could help make it better: Our hot water didn’t work for a while and we had to get help to get it working again but no apologies were given. On our second day they closed up the breakfast before 10am and still charged us for one breakfast even though we just had a tiny bit of fruit that was still left out. Only one free small water bottle was left in our room the whole stay when there were two of us. We didn’t go in the pool so can’t comment on it but it looked clean and nice.

Konden ook auto opladen. Restaurant Clos d'Amboise werd geadviseerd, was zeer verfijnd eten. Tuin en zwembad waren niet zo goed onderhouden. Bij het ontbijt werden alleen koude gekookte eieren en koude pannenkoeken geserveerd, was verder wel uitgebreid. Geen verse yoghurt.

Ottima esperienza Nulla solo, come in tutti gli hotel, la mancanza del bidet…capisco la tradizione ma sarebbe ora di adeguarsi, almeno negli hotel, al resto del mondo….
• Loren (10/5): - This is a wonderful property. The outdoor space is wonderful. My two chihuahuas enjoyed their freedom and I could sit under a shady tree while they romped. The manager, Gerard (English version) was amazing. So accommodating to our needs. Dinner was truly wonderful so be sure to book the outdoor experience at least one night. We had friends meet us for a second dinner and enjoyed 2 1/2 hours of tranquil surroundings and again, excellent, creative cuisine. Breakfast is very good. We got to know Charlotte during this time, who is also wonderful. The room itself is large and bed very comfortable. If you have a problem with century’s old wood floors, this could be an issue. But we were in room #4 and while ours were rickety, we couldn’t hear anyone else. We’ll be back one day. We wished we were here longer, both at the hotel and Amboise! Can’t think of anything.
• Denys (9/5): Feel like you are living in an ancient castle with modern amenities! - A wonderful hotel in a small old castle, but with a modern theme. Very cozy rooms and a magical atmosphere in the garden, parking on site. Check-out is at 11am and check-in is after 3pm, so you have to vacate your room right after breakfast. Not convenient. We were allowed to stay in one room with the whole family until 12:30, special thanks to Charlotte.

Good breakfast. So nice in fact that we cancelled our hotel for the return trip so we could stay here again. For our purposes no criticism. Recommended!
• Dana (10/5): - Gorgeous building - so charming and beautifully decorated in period furniture. The staff is delightful. Our room was lovely: large, air-conditioned, very comfortable bed, spotless…romantically decorated in red and gold and dark wood with beautiful leaded glass windows. Elevator was helpful as we were on the 3rd floor. Breakfast was wonderful and served in a pretty room; we weren’t planning on having breakfast in the hotel daily, but it was so relaxing, we just hung out there every morning. Most nights, you can order small plates of great food and wine and drinks from an upscale food truck and eat in the garden. We did this several times because of the crowds in town for Bastille Day. Walkable to many sites and restaurants. Parking on site or right next door. We were so sad to leave!
• Christopher (10/5): Beautiful property and friendly staff - We spent four nights as two couples. Perfect location to explore Amboise and the surrounding Loire valley chateaux. Parking conveniently located in the back. Both rooms were period rooms, comfortable with modern conveniences and air conditioning (which worked well!). We had breakfast on three of the four days. Lots of variety and omelette served at request (for an additional 2 Euros). We also cooled off every afternoon in the pool! The staff is super friendly with plenty of suggestions on restaurants. Excellent experience. Highly recommended. Hmmm difficult to find anything. Ground floor rooms lacked some privacy but were convenient and cool. Don’t regret them, but might try higher floor next time.

The room was spacious and the staff at the hotel were warm and hospitable. They gave us great recommendations on where to eat and things to do in town. The parking was easy to use and centrally located. Everything about our stay was perfect!
