Guest Reviews
- Evelyn (1/5): Worst experience with Eastcoast Getaways The Entrance. - Sharing my recent disappointing experience with Eastcoast Getaways The Entrance.
My accommodation was cancelled just 24 hours before check-in (31Dec) which was already stressful. Things worsened when there placement accommodation, blocks away from the original, was also cancelled. We were then relocated even further without any explanation or phone calls.
When I called for an explanation, the EastcoastGetaways staff was rude, showed no empathy, and even hung up on me. This left us in a property far from the beach, with no water views or swimming pool – a huge disappointment compared to what we originally booked.
The lack of care from Eastcoast Getaways was truly disheartening. I hope better measures are taken in the future to treat customers with respect and address their needs properly.
- Binan (1/5): - Location No car park no air condition
- Fong (10/5): - My family and I just spent the weekend there.
It was lovely, the place was nice and very clean. And the view was spectacular.
We will definitely go back there. Nothing much, probably not having WiFi but no big deal.
- Judy (5/5): Just so so - Location is good Dish washer is out of order which should have been indicated in the booking information.
The instructions for keypad is not clear. Would be better to include some pictures. To be more specific, wave on keypad does not work. You need to touch it.
- Stacey (9/5): Great spot right in the heart of it all! - Overall great apartment. Prime location with views right in front of the all-day council parking , beach and minutes to nearest Cafe and restaurants.
Kitchen very well stocked with utensils, plates, pots etc for cooking. Don't expect any ingredients though like salt, pepper, oil. Bring your own.
Plenty of bedding. Main bedroom was comfortable. If you don't like light coming through you might have issues with the morning sun coming through the blinds or night lights. The vertical blinds cover most but still let's light in when they're not perfectly aligned.
A TV in every room! 3 in total.
Quiet residents in the apartment building.
Beautiful view early in the morning!
Night time you can view the lights from the rides at the fair. The street was buzzing till 9pm.
Walking distance to everything.
Bathroom had those refillable boost wash and shampoo, conditioner.
Some windows don't open and we didn't realise the bathroom had a fan that activates when you pull the cord.
Washer and dryer very convenient for wet towels and beach clothes.
Very clean apt which I think is the most importable thing above any cons listed below. The worst part about the place was room #2 bunker bed is extremely squeaky top and bottom. Any time someone moves there is a loud squeak heard from all rooms. Kids complained mattress was also thin and uncomfortable that they could feel the base.
You'll need to bring your own toilet paper if staying more than 2 days.
No tissues provided. But they did have paper towels which I didn't see till last day.
No coffee machine.
No parking. There is free parking all day across the street though. If you aren't packing light then you'll be doing many trips to your car.
Previous reviews said there's a lot of stairs but it wasn't too bad. Not ideal to carry bulky items like pram or for elderly.
No wi-fi. Basic tv channels.
Fans only, no air conditioner.
The ad didn't say that it had these things so it wasn't misleading, but just something to keep in mind.
Very, very noisy on Marine Parade over Easter break. Good Friday there were cars hooning up and down the street.
Easter Saturday there was a group of drunken guys talking/ hollering so loudly all night till 4am at the promenade by the water, trying to create a bonfire. Thankfully It all calmed down on Sunday.
It is an older apartment building as pictured but they make the most of it and its comfortable overall.
Would still highly recommend. Thank you for having us and sharing your lovely place.
- Susan (7/5): Good - Very close to everything Mattress on beds need replacing.
Blinds do not cover windows, especially in bedrooms ...sun coming in.
Doors on the balcony do not close properly.
- Paull (7/5): Good - Location was great, close to everything. Didn't need to drive anywhere Way to many stairs, especially for my 73y/o mother. 4 flights. Also I didn't like the multiple email constantly threatening to change us more if all the rules weren't adhered to
- Paul (8/5): Very good - On the 2nd floor overlooking the inlet of the lake and out to sea, very good view. Nice balcony to sit on and enjoy the view. very nicely fitted out the apartment was painted with different colours making a good change from standard white. Ceiling fans made it comfortable as it warmed up. Kitchen was fitted out with everything you needed. Very comfortable lounge. Good bathroom. Overall a very comfortable unit to stay in. The garage!! While it had a tilt a door it could not be used properly. It was very hard to get opened because it was secured by a drop bolt. the hole in the concrete was full of dirt so the bolt did not drop fully and it had been jammed in so it was very hard to get opened. Hopefully someone will fix it for the next user!!
- Darren (8/5): Nice apartment, well located - Location is excellent. If you know and want to stay at The Entrance, this is ideal. Comfortable apartment. Garage was unlocked but jammed shut and inaccessible meaning parking was in a public carpark across the road . This was ok as I never got a ticket fortunately. Dishwasher had a printed notice inside advising it was unserviceable. Basic holiday / Airbnb apartment essentials such as dishwashing liquid, toilet paper, coffee/tea should be essential. Leftovers of such essential items from previous guests appear to have collected there as previous reviews have mentioned the issue.

- Matt (8/5): Beautiful unit in a great location with amazing views. - Location and view.
Well stocked.
Beautiful furniture and decor. A little warm without air conditioning.
- Johanna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): Fabulous! - Location was perfect and we got lucky with the fireworks display! We stayed with my elderly mother, so the stairs were a little slow going. I didn't remember reading that it was on the second floor and there was no lift - Perhaps the description had it and I didn't see it, but if not, suggest you add it. Well worth the climb - fantastic views and wonderful balcony!
- Chad (9/5): Superb -
- George (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (9/5): Superb -

- Lisa (1/5): great location, over priced unit. dont go in summer - no A/C. And BYO toilet paper! - Location Dated block of units. Premium priced, BYO toilet paper (never before has that been requested) No Air Con, No hair dryer, No 'care package' ie; Tea coffee etc. Garage was old style, small (had a friends car luckily, as mine would not have fitted), lock on garage was broken.
- Allcock (8/5): Very good - Accommodation was not 5 star but clean and comfortable and within walking distance to all. Parking garage was to small for our car and had to use another undercover spot that was allocated to another unit lucky it was quite.
