Anne (8/5): A good all-round stay in Zuny Yurt - Location was excellent for Ballendean, close to the only functioning eatery in town, and walk to general store and The Church wine project. Really comfortable, with all the amenities that you need. Gardens on-site were lovely. Split system does not provide heat. Only the fireplace, which is fine for those staying in winter, but in Spring, when only the morning is cold, getting the fire going is too much work.
Peter (9/5): Top Ballandean location for your stay - The house was spotless. Even though we didn’t use it, having the fireplace would be great in winter. Whilst the pub is in walking distance (200m) the cooking facilities had all that could be wanted for a couple of days or longer. Nothing.

Kim (9/5): Perfect location for a Stanthorpe getaway - Perfect location. Great facilities. Clean, comfortable and roomy. Noise from the nearby pub Saturday night was a little annoying but not overly unruly.

Diane Pallisier (10/5): - We were a group of 8 adults and 5 children. The stay had everything you would need for a holiday. Good beds, linen and towels. Plenty of cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses. Games for kids and adults, TV, fireplace and piano. Multiple lounges and chairs in the lounge room. Heaps of outdoor settings front and back. We felt some of the above were a little "dated" but hey when you have that many kids it really wasn't a problem.

Julie (10/5): Our large family group rented out 2 of the Yurts and James Farmhouse and had an amazing experience - What a fantastic little find this home was. The property was so clean and very well equipped for our large group. It was great to be able to walk across the road to the tavern/pub for a meal.

Duncan0000 (10/5): Exceptional - Very cosy space, great cooking facilities or super close to the pub for a meal. Host is super responsive, had a brief issue with the hot water system as it was the first very cold week, it was actioned immediately and sorted within the hour.
Dee (10/5): Yurt was cute. Great Location, Would stay again - Loved the location. Walking distance to local county pub and pop up wine tasting. Along the same road, easy access to many of the local wineries. Not far to drive to Giraween National Park as we wanted to do the hikes there. Loved the Yurt, much more roomier than one would think. Look forward to going back and would stay here again. Noting really jumps out. Perhaps some hangers on the back of the bathroom door to hang up a towel or your gown.

Lisa (4/5): - Be aware when booking Rose Cottage it has aged considerably since the photos on the site. Also note the photos on the listing cover multiple properties. We were very shocked at the size and condition of the Cottage. The side sliding doors were unlocked when we arrived with no lock on the side sliding mesh door. The front door lock was very loose and felt like one good pull would have it open. The property is much smaller than looks in photos and very tired. We didn’t feel safe here and did not stay.

Plenty of outdoor space for our family of 8 to enjoy peace and quiet. Bed linen was excellent. It was great to walk to the Ballandean Pub for New Year's Eve. The pie shop was excellent with the best pies ever. The local store and pharmacy were also convenient. Shower would go cold at times
Melissa (10/5): - Was nice staying in the yurt-style unit as a quirky change from the norm. Great cooking facilities. A good number of local attractions. Short walk to the Ballardean pub (although the pub’s food was disappointing). Would stay here again. Want to visit again soon.
Gary (8/5): Very good - Very nice cottage with everything you would need for a enjoyable stay. A pleasant side verandah to relax and put your feet up. Well equipped kitchen. I don't know if this is possible but - switching on the AC prior to our arrival would be great. The cottage was very hot when we arrived (30 degree plus day) and it took several hours before the temp was down to comfortable level. Just a suggestion: There are these small solar pads which people fix to the surface at the entrance to their driveway (a Bunnings item I think). Makes it easier to spot the entrance late at night when guests who are unfamiliar with the area arrive home.

Rachel (10/5): Exceptional - Location was quiet and peaceful plus if it isn't a cloudy day it's amazing to look up and watch the stars from outside the property. There was also a beautiful porch to sip tea from. It was easy to collect the keys, and the property came with some guides on things to do around the area. Size of the cottage is perfect for a couple. Would definitely recommend for a quick weekend getaway!

Ken (10/5): - I stayed in the Rose Cottage on this property and it was great! The most noticeable aspect of it was how well-equipped the accommodation was. WiFi was hit and miss but that wasn't a big deal.
Iris (8/5): Big place - It's a big old house ,plenty of space. The wood fire works well to warm the lounge. Lovely yard around the place. Sadly, some of the guest use the lovely garden beds to dump their cigarette butts. It's a bit on the dark side, especially in the kitchen . A bit more shelf space in the bathroom would help, also in some of the bedrooms

Ben (8/5): - A old cottage adapted into a comfortable studio-style accommodation. Has an open fire which would be cosy in winter but creates a lingering smoky smell in the cottage (which moderates after you open up the doors and windows). Good value for money and very close to Girraween NP and a family friendly (newish) pub serving good food.

Nathan (8/5): Well appointed accommodations and easy living. - Large and comfortable living areas and deck We unfortunately happened to stay during one of the hottest weekends ever and the lack of air con was a bit uncomfortable - but I can imagine in typical weather and especially winter the accommodation would be perfect.

It was quite and felt like we had our own space. Nothing everything was really enjoyable for us.

Very relaxing with log fire o and a wine. Bloody loved it. Thanks lisa and sharyn Bed was not big enough. To hard, needs a pillow top. Spider webs in roof panels

Samantha (6/5): Ok for a short stay - Beds were very hard. There always seemed to be a constant draught coming from somewhere even though everything was closed up. Hard to keep the warmth in. Tiny bar fridge. No washing machine or dishwasher. Thought it was over priced for what it was. Shower head also didn't sit properly so had to hold it to shower. Overall it was ok for a short stay but wouldn't stay again.

Ian (10/5): - James Farmhouse is an old home with plenty of room and some creature comforts. The wood fireplace saw use as 4 couples enjoyed a cool long weekend. Ample room in the lounge and dining. Nice gardens. The house had 2 bathrooms and 2 toilets and a meals table in the kitchen meant chats whilst meals were cooked. Plenty of cooking gear and options. Rear drinks area. Walk to the tavern or shop. Both basic but you could get a meal (book on weekends).

Baerbel (10/5): Exceptional - Property was self contained with enough room for parking our 4wd. We were cozy and warm and had everything we needed. We were surprised to find some roses still blooming at our rose cottage. Plenty of grounds to explore and our own patio as well. Wineries were close by and the bakery across the road was lovely. The door lock at the front entry was rather vintage but hopefully kept our gear secure while out exploring.

Verified traveler (8/5): A rustic cottage with everything you need. - We stayed in the Rose Cottage which looked a bit dated and rustic, and did not look very attractive on the outside. Once we went in, it was fine - clean, comfortable and cozy. Although we did not use the fire place, we could imagine it would be lovely in winter.
